    Crazy weather in the Midwest...

    We are getting some crazy weather in the Midwest again, so I thought I'd share. Last night there was an ice warning. We had a strange mix of rain, snow and sleet. Seemed like it kept getting warmer and then colder...alternating all night. We even got thunder and lightning while it was snowing! Today....the most beautiful snowstorm of the season. As along as you don't have to travel it, it is gorgeous. Stay safe.

    Too true!! I was just out for a couple of hours. When I left it was rainy. By the time I got home it was big fluffy snowflakes. Our driveway is a big slushy monstrous mess though!

    Neese, thanks for writing my city council this month. We have more plans for them...

    Fedup...Are you making any progress? Your Mayor has got to be sick of us by now. At least we are keeping him on his toes. He seems like a nice guy.

    We had a dust/ wind storm yesterday. Winds to 60 mph. Dust so thick the visibility was down to about 3/4 mile at times. I lost one of the main branches of my ash tree, the branch being over a foot in diameter and better than 30' long. Fortunately it didn't fall on the house. Today is beautiful, warm and clear, but when I was walking across my lawn I was stirring up little clouds of dust deposited yesterday.

    Did anybody see the story on Drudge about a strange powder covering a city? Did they ever find out what it was?
