    Looking at the list I see stores that sell mostly imports. And stores that have instore credit cards at very high interest rates.

    The store closings list, to me, means that Americans are seriously cutting down on fluffy stuff, like the latest fashions, new furniture, or tech gizmos and with Home Depot and Lowes it means that contractors, whether they build or remodel, have no market for their services. The irrationally exuberant American consumer is pulling in its horns and wondering how to put food on the table.
