Va. Authorities Issue Amber Alert For Abducted Mother, Child

    http://www.wral.com/news/8932579/detail.html

DANVILLE, Va. -- Virginia authorities issued an Amber Alert Sunday morning for a 7-month-old baby boy that Virginia State Police believe was abducted in Danville, Virginia State Police said.

Police said Xavon Ishia Cisneros-Goodwin was last seen with his mother Briana Lynn Goodwin, 18, at about 11 p.m. Saturday when a red 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe sideswiped the vehicle they were traveling in. Authorities are also looking for Briana Goodwin.

Someone then removed the infant and his mother from their vehicle and made threats to harm them both, investigators said. Both are believed to be in danger.

Xavon is described as a white male, approximately 1 foot 11 inches tall and about 15 pounds. Briana Goodwin is described as a white female, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 130 pounds.

Authorities are searching for a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe similar to the one pictured. The vehicle they are looking for, however, is red with Virginia license plate number JVA-7986.

Investigators also said that the two were likely abducted by Ignacio Rizea Cisneros, 23, a Hispanic male. The three may be traveling in the Tahoe, with Virginia license plate number JVA-7986.

Virginia State Police said the Amber Alert had not yet been issued in North Carolina because the suspect's direction of travel was unclear. The North Carolina Highway Patrol, however, said local law enforcement agencies had been notified of the abduction.

Anyone with information should contact the Virginia State Police at (800) 822-4453.

Abducted Mother, Child Found Safe In Rockingham Co.

    http://www.wral.com/news/8932579/detail.html

DANVILLE, Va. -- Virginia authorities have canceled an Amber Alert issued early Sunday morning for a 7-month-old baby boy and his mother who were reported missing in Danville on Saturday. Both were found safe Sunday afternoon.

The alert was issued after Xavon Ishia Cisneros-Goodwin and his mother, Briana Lynn Goodwin, 18, were forcefully removed from their vehicle at about 11 p.m. Saturday, Virginia State Police said. Authorities said a red 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe sideswiped the vehicle they were traveling in and that the alleged abductor threatened to harm both mother and child.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, the Amber Alert had been canceled, according to the Virginia State Police Web site. Goodwin and Xavon were found in Rockingham County, N.C. The baby's father, who is also the alleged abductor, Ignacio Rizea Cisneros, 23, turned himself in to authorities after a brief chase.

Cisneros faces charges including felony child endangerment and speeding to elude law officers. Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said Briana Goodwin was not pursuing abduction charges.

Police in Virginia say Cisneros already was wanted in Pittsylvania County for driving suspended, reckless driving, felony contempt of court, eluding police and resisting arrest.

Virginia State Police said earlier Sunday that the Amber Alert had not been issued in North Carolina because the suspect's direction of travel had been unclear. The North Carolina Highway Patrol, however, said local law enforcement agencies had been notified of the abduction.
