Health officials say more than 30 workers at a Chantilly post office have tested positive for exposure to tuberculosis.

The tests were given after officials learned in January that a worker at the post office had an active case of the disease. Fairfax County health officials found that 32 of the more than 120 employees had been exposed.

Fairfax County health spokesman Michael Andrews says the agency notified the employees but not the general public because the risk of exposure to the disease was very low.

The worker who had tuberculosis has returned to work after being treated.

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria that attack the lungs. People who test positive for exposure but not active tuberculosis cannot infect others.

With all the foriegn doctors, nurses and other medical staff comming here from nations who lack the hygene we did it is getting dangerous to go to the doctors office anymore, much less work . Check in for stitches ,leave with TB,AIDS or another desease .

I had a female latino doctor reach out for a introductury handshake with open wounds . I ask er what was wrong with her hands, she said syorisis . When you are broken out with open wounds, you should either wear gloves or not shake hands . We always wash up after exams with antibiotics, alchohol and antyhing else i can get my hands on after doctor visits .And change clothes soon as possible .

Hear about all the people who went in to get colonospony and left with HIV ? This was in the news couple weeks ago . Google it .

How did the postal worker with the active case of T.B. contract it?

The post office is now hiring out anything that can walk in the door, from what I understand . They pay minimum wage . Use to be a real hard job to get . my daughter applied there once in the early 90s . She said the test was hard and she has always been smart and As all through school . She passed it but went into business instead before they called her .
