LAS VEGAS -- Strippers and hookers are trying to get some respect in Sin City.
Sex workers demonstrated Thursday on the steps of the courthouse in downtown Las Vegas. They called for more legal protection and decriminalization of the world's oldest profession.
Nevada already has legal bordellos, but they are located only in rural areas.
The protest followed a three-day conference by the Sex Workers Outreach Project U.S.A. Organizers said the event was the largest meeting of academics, advocates and prostitutes in nearly a decade.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Can someone please explain why consenting adults can not engage a commercial transaction exchanging sex for money? Holland as taken the appropriate course of action on this IMHO. They've even gone so far as to build an area away from town where street walkers can ply their trade and meet their customers needs in relative safety AWAY from the tourist areas.
