I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

WASHINGTON (AFP)--Immigrant rights organizations have called for a major march on Washington on January 21, the day after Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th U.S. president.
Defenders and advocates of tens of millions of immigrants will take to the streets to press their case for immigration reform and remind Obama of one of the policy planks he plugged on the campaign stump as he wooed the Hispanic vote.

Absolutely. The very first May Day march is what brought awareness to me about this issue.

The day after Americans will still be watching the news, on a high so to speak. I don't think they'll take kindly to this type of event taking some of the attention away from the day before.

Immigrants in the United States don't need defenders and advocates. We have the most generous immigration system in the world. Oh, but they're talking about illegal aliens, aren't they?!?

Hope the weather turns against them like it did here in Denver.
