The Buffalo Bills said they had 59,119 spectators at New Era Field on Sunday (capacity 71,870 seat maximum) when the New York Jets came to town. Some thought that estimate seemed high when looking at the empty seats.

The Cleveland Browns also announced their crowd size — 59,392 at FirstEnergy Stadium (capacity 67,895) — as the Browns bested the Carolina Panthers in a 26-20 final. But some photos seemed to show a lot of empty seats:

Watching the Panthers at Browns. There’s at least 20,000 empty seats there. Is the NFL going under??

The Cincinnati Bengals winged their way out west to visit the Los Angeles Chargers at Stub Hub Center, but some fans decried the empty seats:

The Washington Redskins hosted the New York Giants at FedEx Field, only to get creamed 40-16. But, if it’s any consolation, basically no one saw it:

Fans have also questioned the empty seats at the Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium when the Indianapolis Colts came to town:

Finally, the Kansas City Chiefs just pushed by the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium with a 27-24 final, but some said there were a lot of empty seats:

    Rick Decker @1750agreed

@codybtapp Why so many empty seats at Arrowhead? A 10-2 team? Patrick Mahomes as QB and we still can't fill up the stadium, I don't understand it.

It's sad. But, the NFL should have known that a great many Americans will change their habits and spending to defend our country, to stand up for our honor, and execute our little role in the duty to save our country, our way of life, our flag, our national anthem, our troops and our President.

We also need to cut off the taxpayer dollars building these stadiums! They are a big business, they can pay to build their own stadium.

Yes, we sure do, Beezer. If cities and towns or states want to compete for it as a business enterprise in their community that's fine. Having a national sports franchise in your community is a good thing, it's good for the people, it's good for the community and the games and other activities the stadiums are used for generate a lot of revenue and jobs, BUT, it has to first be good for the people, something they enjoy participating in so when the athletes ruin or spoil that for them, with this kneeling crap and using the venue as their personal protest something territory, then those athletes have hurt a lot of people and damaged otherwise good investments. But federal tax dollars should never go into these projects. Maybe some roads or infrastructure monies, but that's it. Block grants and other types of federal funds should not be used.

Did you see that article I posted about the DOD's Mattis wanting $750 billion next year in defense spending? I was surprised with that number. How much more building up do we need? I know things were really bad, so I realize it's probably going to take more than 2 years of increased funding and this coming year would make 3 years .... but I swear, how are we going to pay for it? One way .... that's JOBS JOBS JOBS ... pound on GM and all the others and tell them you build every car or whatever you make in the United States if you want to sell it in the United States. We've got lives to live well, things to do and bills to pay, so you're going to be allowed to send even 1 dollar out of this country without a penalty, because we need it all, every dollar, every dime. ZERO TRADE DEFICIT. MAKE IT HAPPEN OR GET OUT OF THE WAY.

    PERIOD.

I do not agree with $750 billion for the military budget. We need to get out of these damn wars and protect our own border.

We need to stop bringing refugees, asylum, TPS and illegal here. They need to go home, solve their problems and stop these wars!

Yeah, I was stunned when I found that article. Either something is up that we don't know about yet, or our military was in worse shape than we thought, or something is off and Mattis can't be trusted with a budget.
