In Muslim countries, you can hear people praying in the streets through out the day. Loud speakers in Arabic praise their God. And then it sounds like chanting.

In hotels, there are special floors set up for Muslims go to pray.

I know, ELE. I was staying at a hotel in center city Cairo when the minarets would start goiing off before dawn for prayer call at sunrise. The cutest thing was in one hotel many of the people had no idea which way Mecca was and staff had to instruct them. A few guests were so poor that they could not provide prayer rugs, but used newspapers.
And for the very devout Muslims during Ramadan month, some did not even brush their teeth during daylight hours in fear of ingesting toothpaste accidentally. During Ramadan you only eat after dark as this is also a time for cleansing of body and devoting soul to Allah.
