America's tea-party movement is regrouping and preparing for a second convention to unite its leaders against the "Obama-Pelosi-Reid axis of fiscal evil" as the nation prepares for the fall 2010 election.

The Tea Party Nation, http://www.teapartynation.com/ along with ResistNet, http://www.resistnet.com/ Leadership Tea Party the Tea Party Leadership Coalition and other groups, is organizing a National Tea Party Unity Convention, July 15-17, at the Palazzo Las Vegas Resort in Nevada.

Along with speakers and training sessions, the unity event will feature the first Tea Party Nation Conservative Film Festival.

The convention is calling for filmmakers to submit feature films, short films and music videos with a conservative message and/or emphasis on traditional American values. Entries must be submitted by June 11.

Sherry Phillips, executive director of the conservative film festival and vice president of Tea Party Nation, told WND, "We want to showcase conservative filmmakers and films that highlight conservativism and traditional American values. We are really excited about it."

She said Tea Party Nation has big plans for the event and expects to transform it into an annual, conservative, Christian, family values-oriented festival.

A panel of celebrity judges will select up to 10 films to present at the convention and awards will be given for best feature length film, best short film and best music video. Entry forms are available at the convention website. http://www.nationalteapartyconvention.c ... stival.cfm

As WND reported, Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, will be a featured speaker at the convention.

Other speakers include Neal Boortz, nationally syndicated talk show host; Anna Puig, co-chair of the Kitchen Table Patriots; David DeGerolamo, founder of NC Freedom; Erika Franzi, chairwoman of the Asheville Tea PAC; and Dr. Leland Baker, author of "Tea Party Revival: The Conscience of a Conservative Reborn: The Tea Party Revolt Against Unconstrained Spending and Growth of the Federal Government." The Tea Party Express is also making plans to attend. http://www.teapartyexpress.org/home

"The speakers will speak on the subject of uniting the conservative movement," Tea Party Nation President Judson Phillips told WND. "One of the major purposes is to get the groups to work together because we all have the same common goal. We want to stop liberalism and socialism, and we need to be working together, not against each other."

Tea Party Nation will be announcing more speakers, including a keynote speaker, in the coming days.

Registration for the convention includes the following: http://nationalteapartyconvention.com/registration.cfm

entrance for three days to the convention, including breakout sessions and speakers
entrance to the convention evening general sessions activities (TBD)
gourmet breakfast and lunch buffets Friday and Saturday
entrance to the Tea Party Nation Conservative Film Festival

Tea Party Nation will provide opportunities for tea partiers to receive training and network with other leaders and members of the movement.

"We've got to do more than just complain about bad government. We've got to do more than just simply replace bad government," Judson Phillips said. "We've got to make this country better. That means some out-of-the-box ideas. We've got to do something to help our fellow Americans."
