Thread: white Sox Hispanic only day

Well the Chicago White Sox would have you believe that "Dia Del Deporte" is not a Hispanic only event, but their marketing is all for the "Hispanic community" and features only Hispanic players. Jake at the Freedom Folks received an invitiation wherein it stated in Spanish "Companeros, wanted to share with you this information of an event where us podramos to feel proud of our race." That's nice.

Jake has more at the entry above on the differences in the Spanish and English promotional signs, but let me ask you one question. What would happen if it was a "white players only" day?

I'm really getting tired of this sort of thing. And the answer to your question is obvious. They would be branded "racists". Apparently that term only applies to while people. Other can be as racist as they like and it's perfectly acceptable.
