Have mixed feelings about getting the flu shot but must admit, never had one. If one wants to get it get it, if not don't. Sometimes we take gambles in life. If I were regularly around an infant I'd get the shot for whooping cough tho.

Since few would take the H1N1 flu shot last year, in their wisdom they decided to add it to this years regular flu shot, isn't that nice an all in one gift for you, come one come all.

They sure are pushing it aren't they, every where you look no wait, plenty of vaccine, etc etc etc . I even get phone calls about it...Oh well all the information here in different messages tells you plenty about these vaccines and what is in it. You can go to http://www.naturalnews.com Or Dr Rimas Site: http://healthfreedomusa.com/ It is up to each individual whether to take vaccines or not that is still your free choice...eventually they hope to take that away from you get your shots or else..big Pharma loves it.

That's standard procedure. Every year's vaccine contains last year's flu as part of the mix.

That is my feeling too just one little cog in the wheel. But then there are many out there that just want to be lead to the slaughter many of these people have no idea what is in these vaccines either, but hey what the heck.....go for it!!!! To each their own I always say....

For several years, I have been committed to making people aware of the dangers of vaccines. I get about 50% against me these days. It used to be 90%, so the movement of vaccine awareness is making head way.

The way I see it, I've planted seeds for those on the other side of the issue. They may watch someone get terminally ill in the future after a vaccine (like I have), and then they will connect it to what I and others have previously written.

It's a hard concept to swallow that just maybe those in power are trying to depopulate us. You have a choice....red pill or blue pill. I've taken the red pill

"The best way to protect yourself and the infants you come into contact from getting whooping cough —
also known as pertussis — is the tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, the CDC advises."

Whooping cough cases on the rise in NM

    Posted at: 10/20/2010 8:12 AM
    By: The Associated Press

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Health Secretary Alfredo Vigil says there's an increase in cases of pertussis (per-TUS'-is) or whooping cough in New Mexico.

Vigil said Tuesday that families and children can protect themselves by getting immunized.

Vaccines are free for children in New Mexico, regardless of whether a family has health insurance.

Children with no insurance coverage can get vaccine at a local public health office.

Pertussis is a bacterial respiratory infection and is highly contagious.

The Department of Health says there have been 96 cases of whooping cough reported so far this year, with half of those since August.

In 2009, there were 94 cases and 85 in 2008.

Killer cough exposes gap in defence

It May Be More Than Just A Cough Find A Clinic Near You Now!

ONE unfortunate side effect of mass immunisation that ultimately creates greater risks than any medical side effect is complacency. Many people do not realise how vulnerable the community becomes once immunisation rates fall to the critical point at which infectious diseases can spread widely through the population via contact between unprotected people. Most vulnerable of all are babies, who cannot be immunised immediately. One of the most frightening infections they face is whooping cough, or pertussis; its effect haunts anyone who has seen it. And many more people are encountering whooping cough. This highly infectious disease has been on the rise since 2006 and, as The Age reports, doctors are seeing the alarming consequences.

According to the Victorian Health Department, about one in 200 babies infected before six months of age will die. The disease is less serious for older children and adults, but they do spread it. Most deaths could be avoided had consistently high immunisation rates been maintained. Instead, rates fell to as low as 80 per cent in southern Queensland and northern New South Wales. Some people refuse immunisation, but this puts others at risk as well.

Across the eastern states, the surge in whooping cough cases is startling. Queensland passed the 4000 mark by mid-August, but has began to arrest the trend after cases quadrupled since 2008. Similar rises have been reported in South Australia, with 4806 cases so far this year, and Victoria, which has recorded 3832 cases, compared to 2708 last year and 1021 in 2008. A NSW immunisation drive has cut case numbers to about a third of the 10,747 recorded up to last October. Victoria recently extended its vaccination program, but containing the disease takes time.

The lesson of this epidemic is how quickly we can lose ground against infectious diseases. Australia is not alone in this - California is suffering its worst whooping cough outbreak since 1955 - and global travel ensures disease will spread whenever we lower our guard. Whooping cough can creep up on us because symptoms may be mild in adults, who then unwittingly infect others.

Victorian doctors have been advised to immunise babies as soon as possible, at six weeks, instead of the usual eight. Even then, they are not fully protected until they have had all their booster shots. Immunity wears off, so adults who were last immunised as children can spread the infection. Anyone who has contact with a baby and has not been immunised in a decade or so should be aware of the risks. Some babies and their parents pay a terrible price when we let gaps develop in our medical defences.
