The US has - hands down - the most propagandized population in the world.

Even people in North Korea have a firmer grasp of reality.

Why is this so?

It's the news media. They've mastered the art of reporting nothing and making it seem like it's something.

They're also very creative and convincing first class liars. Kind of like Bush Republicans.

What's the solution?

Scott Ritter has an answer and thanks to the Internet, more and more people in the US are breaking free of the info-lock.

Scott Ritter has a few very good points about how out of touch Americans are these days. But unfortunately, while this country is going to hell in a handbasket, most people are just concerned about how to afford the gas to get to work to feed their families. Lots of folks grumble about the econ. situation, but very few even realize that the global world economy is upon us and no one seems to even understand what is going on. Let's see: illegals, outsourcing of US jobs, China owning more that 40% of our national debt, oil rich Arab and other countries buying everything they can get their hands on (real estate in New York and Budweiser). Foreign countries are now bidding on Alligator Alley, Florida's east to west road built by tax dollars for a lease with a lump payment to Naples FL and the right to collect tolls from those same taxpayers (no, take that back, cause there are probably a few illegals, burglars, and other crime committers using it to and from Fort Lauderdale and SW Fla. I am sure they pay taxes on all their ill-gotten loot.)
