Thread: Why does the military seem to be preparing for urban warfare in the United States?

Probably just more conspiracy theory. With that said though, I can see a need to train for potential conflict in our inner cities, especially with the violent gangs steadily increasing in size and power. If things get real bad for local and state police, who are you going to call, certainly not the ghost busters! I hear things are getting pretty bad crime wise in cities like Detroit and Cleveland. Furthermore, what if a powerful drug cartel armed to the teeth attempted to take over a city like Brownsville, TX? IMHO, best to be prepared for any and all contingencies with a well trained response team.
