Sign Tells Trick or Treaters Why There's No Candy

GLENDALE, Ariz. - It could be a sign of the times. Chic Ritzheimer in Glendale has posted a sign at his door this Halloween.

It reads:

“Sorry kids, but I have been out of work for two years, and your current government has spent all my money.
I'm sorry I can't afford candy this year. God bless you and our country! This is the change ... get used to it!!"

Wow. That's a strong message. Not the approach I would probably take since we were raised to try to shield children from the woes of adults, but I certainly don't blame him for it. Not one bit. Otherwise he'd be the oger for not having candy and they'd vandalize his property.
