    Wimp & Sellout Watch — No. 2

By Steve Milloy Thursday, January 6, 2011

While we have high hopes that the newly empowered Republican Members of Congress will make every effort to fight the socialization of America, we are also aware that the GOP has an ignominious history of wimping- and/or selling-out, especially on environmental issues. Wimp & Sellout Watch is GreenHellBlog’s effort to spotlight the GOP’s weak links because:—In the 112th Congress, it should take more courage for GOP-ers to retreat than to advance.

Today’s update on potential wimps and sellouts to watch:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC). According to a report in today’s E&E Daily, Graham told South Carolina reporters that, http://www.eenews.net/

“I think $4 a gallon for gas is coming and is an opportunity to re-engage on the energy policy. … Four dollars a gallon for gas is going to reignite this debate… [At $4 gasoline] everybody is tripping over themselves to find an energy policy.â€

Gasoline will go down when the fed gets out of the way.
The libtards tax and tax, regulation, EPA, and drilling moratoriums are all
    that drive costs up.
Tap a few US owned oil wells (if we still have any) and the price of crude drops in a day.
And all that needs to happen is the administration saying it is going too.
Wimp's like Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Rob Portman are toast if they keep up their sell out.
America has all it needs for energy independence.
If the Free and private sector were allowed to responsibly work.
Which would put a bunch of us back to work.

    They do not

They do not want the U S to be energy independant. Energy is one of their means of control over Americans. If the U S was energy independant a great deal of their ability to control and minupulate us would diminish...
If a completely new and abundent energy source became readily available they would take hold of it with an iron fist to control us with...

[Portman] has also been floated by the Obama White House and Democrats as someone across the aisle who may be open to negotiations on several issues, including energy and environmental policy.

I voted for Sen. Portman - R, because his opponet was an old, liberal hack. However, I don't trust him any more than Sen. Sherrod Brown - D.
Sen. Portman is another "pro business" con artist. He would gladly support additional free trade agreements, which would result in the loss of additional jobs. He will not support E-verify.

    Agreed.

We need to keep an eye on cap and trade. If that goes full bore we are screwed, right along with the rest of the world.

If it appears as though gold, silver, oil and other commodities can and are manipulated in the markets, imagine what they can do with CO2.

Corporate control over the world's emissions of CO2. If we think politics is corrupt now, just think about all of the fun yet to come.

There has been a ton of money spent trying to convince the whole world on global warming, they want cap and trade in a bad way.

Is there a difference between Wonder Boy and the Republicans when it comes to cap and trade?
