An Australian boy is facing a mountain of confusing challenges, as permissive parenting and professional consultants allowed him to begin to transition into a girl at 12. He then realized he didn’t want to continue with the procedure at 14, creating new complications for the teenager.

Patrick Mitchell, 14, changed his mind after beginning hormone therapy two years ago, according to reports. The estrogen treatments were recommended by “professionals,” who reportedly told Patrick’s mother the boy had gender dysphoria, and that the hormones were the “right choice” for the young man.

Gender dysphoria is a condition where a person feels there is a mismatch between their biological sex and the gender they identify as, something the so-called experts in the field describe as “distressing” to the individual.

In a clip from “60 Minutes Australia,” Patrick explains: “You wish you could just change everything about you, you just see any girl and you say ‘I’d kill to be like that.'”

The boy grew out his hair, and his body began to grow breasts. When teachers at school began to refer to him as a girl, it reportedly triggered Mitchell to question if he had made the right decision.

Mitchell has now told his mother, “I’m just not sure that I am a girl.”

Patrick stopped taking his medication, and will have to undergo an operation to remove excess breast tissue, according to reports.

While the number of people reporting gender dysphoria appears to be on the rise, an August 2016 report concluded “that most of the supposedly transgender children and teenagers who ask to change sexes instead just change their minds and grow up as normal adults.”

Meanwhile, parents are ignoring such studies and accepting younger children transitioning. Even elementary students are facing the transgender issue. In liberal-leaning California, a young, first-grade girl attending a charter school was questioned over her use of the wrong pronoun, when referring to a transitioning fellow classmate.

No 12 year old child should be going through sex transition therapy and hormone treatments.

They are way too young to be making these type of decisions or what it all really means.

The mother is an idiot.
