Mayor Daley is a bottled water guzzler who’s often seen hydrating after heated news conferences. He’s also an avowed environmentalist who’s determined to make Chicago the “greenest city in America.â€

In theory this would work! But once they implement it will be another tax to increase there coffers with dirty money!
Plastic although it is everywhere it is recyclable and it creates jobs! I don't recycle nor do I care too, but I don't believe the "global warming" hype if our country needs to cut back on ( A B and C ) but a "developing" country can create as much ( A B and C ) all they want!!!

As the US cuts it pollution it is counter balanced by "developing" countries like India and China so we ain't saving nothing! The only winners here are big business because of paying pollution tax in the US they can move there shops to a "developing" country and get cheaper labor and no pollution taxes!!! Its all about the money and nothing to do with saving the planet!!!

In light of the fact that a pack of cigarettes is $8.50 (about $4 of which is tax) in "Cook Illegal Alien Nation County" and gas (taxes) prices are the highest in the US, I guess they can't go there anymore; the alcoholic 20 somethings that fill the bars on the north side would leave the city in droves if they dare to tax their binge drinking.

Then again maybe if they ended the perpetual corruption, fraud and stopped helping themselves to the coffers and get rid of the illegal parasites that might put a dent in their multitude of deficits
