    New Jersey (2010) Session

Please Call, Email, or Fax the Governor of New Jersey and thank him for taking a stand and removing illegal aliens from state health care system

    EDITORIAL: Cutting spending in N.J.
President Obama could learn a lot about fiscal responsibility from New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie. The governor is making hard choices to close a $2.2 billion state budget deficit by freezing spending and erasing surpluses to meet current needs.

Mr. Christie is cutting money for schools, colleges, hospitals and the New Jersey Transit system - 375 line items total. He is removing noncitizens from the state health care system and canceling a jobs program that mainly created jobs for government bureaucrats. His cuts are intended to impose efficiency and accountability on government spending, concepts people generally do not associate with New Jersey politics.

Mr. Christie is taking withering fire for his efforts, which is a knee-jerk response to making hard choices, particularly when they affect government spending that some came to view as entitlements. But he is doing what he was elected to do. Mr. Christie's rationale is that, "We cannot spend money on everything we want." It's an approach refreshing in its simplicity and common sense.

Message Example (please craft your own, the example will aid you in what to say)

    Subject line:

    To the Honorable Governor Christie,

I'm writing to thank you Governor for doing what others can't bring them self to do, that is cut off programs for illegal aliens instead of cutting programs that hurt American citizens. Finally someone is taking a stand and protecting taxpayer money that is being spent on people who should not be here is the first place, it is fiscally irresponsible, it is aiding and abetting and it is forcing Americans to pay for people who are breaking our laws.

    Again thank you!

Good suggestion, jamesw62. We need to reinforce and support this kind of rational governance. Its important to let the pro-open-borders traitors know when we disagree, but its also important to let the pro-enforcement, pro-American officials know when we support and appreciate what they are doing.

Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose has proposed legislation in Trenton to fight illegal
    immigration in New Jersey.

Here's a list of the bills sponsored or co-sponsored by Assemblywoman McHose:

    Labor Committee

A189 - "New Jersey Jobs Protection Act;" requires verification of employment - introduced
1/12, sent to Assembly Labor Committee

A1366 - Clarifies right of employers to require employees to speak English while engaged in
work - introduced 1/12, sent to Assembly Labor Committee

A2337 - Prohibits release of illegal immigrants from correctional facilities - introduced 2/25,

incentives for 7 years - introduced 1/12, sent to Assembly State Government

It is essential that members of NJCIC get behind these bills. Let's all contact our assemblymen
in Trenton and let them know that we want to see these bills pass.

Don't know who your assemblyman is? You can find out here:

Also, we should contact the chairs of the 4 committees where these bills are and tell them that we want to see these bills put forward to the floor of the Assembly and voted on!

    Here's the contact info:

Assembly Labor Committee: Chair Joseph Egan - tel. # 732-249-4550
Assembly Law & Public Safety: Chair Gordon M. Johnson - tel. # 201-836-4924

Call the governor on the air Thursday 8/26

Thursday, August 26th, FM 101.5 will be having its monthly call the governor radio program. The more people who call the governor and ask about the illegal alien problem the better! The show begins at 7pm. The telephone number is 800/283-1015. The radio station link is<br />. Ask for support for the bills mentioned above. Also ask what he is doing about the 3.478 billion $ cost to N.J. taxpayers of illegal aliens. Although this figure includes municipality, school district, and county spending as well as direct spending by the state government it amounts to an astouding 12% of the state's budget for fiscal 2011! ( See for the state budge )
