It is over folks. Our only hope was to beat them on the final Cloture vote which required them to cross a threshold of 60.

They won that and the bill will Pass.

They now only need 50 votes to finalize passage.

That is why we told everyone to call before the Cloture vote.

    Kathyet2,

What you are seeing on Cspan right now is all political theater where everyone just gets up and has their say.

The Cloture Vote or Motion To Proceed vote has already been taken. That filibuster was our only chance to stop the Senate from passing S. 744. They won that proceedural vote 68 to 32!

Every Senator that really wanted to stop S. 744 voted No with the 32. Now a few more may vote No on the final vote to try to shield themselves from voter wrath in the next elections, but this fight in the Senate is OVER.

They only need 51 votes on the final vote to pass S. 744.

They have all the votes they need. This final vote is a mere formality. Senate Bill S. 744 has already passed the Senate and if you and others do not understand that then the Senate has succeeded in confusing you all enough that they need not fear you in the next elections because you wont even know who really passed it.

The 68 senators that voted Yea on final Cloture on S. 744 as listed above are the ones that have passed Amnesty through the Senate.

Our American Defender side has already lost in the Senate and you can keep calling if it makes you feel better but there is less than 1% of 1% of a chance this bill will fail on the final vote.

So it's over then. It'll pass the House too. . . . Time to learn spanish and get used to the USA's decline to be mexico north, ruled by a never ending stream of leftist democrats, who'll destroy what's left on their march to their socialist "utopia." This is a very sad day.
