Great delegate news! (brokered convention)
Submitted by Brad.king92 on Wed, 05/09/2012 - 21:10
Delegates
Please go read some of my other posts on delegates before you read this.
By my count, Romney currently has 849 delegates. This includes Paul supporters who are bound to Romney, and the delegates won from last nights primary. In the remaining primaries there are a total of 556 BOUND delegates that are awarded proportionally or through winner take all. Nebraska and Montana are non-binding Caucus States. This means that if Romney wins every single primary from here on, he will have more than 1144 delegates at the convention. However, If you exclude TX and CA there are only 225 delegates left to be awarded.
Oregon - 25
Arkansas - 30
Kentucky - 42
Texas - 152
California - 169
N. Jersey - 50
N. Mexico - 20
S. Dakota - 25
Utah - 40
Current Romney delegate count: 849
849 + 25 + 30 + 42 + 50 + 20 + 25 + 40 = 1081
So if Romney wins every State except for Texas and California he will only have 1081 delegates!!
Also keep in mind that if Romney comes in second place in TX or California he will still get a small number of delegates but that would raise this number by only slightly more.
So right now, the goal should be to win Texas and California and to pick up all of the delegates in Montana and Nebraska.
But there is also another obstacle to a brokered convention. There are a total of 120 RNC delegates who are unbound at the convention. If enough of these vote for Romney this will bring his 1081 above 1144.
apparently I did the math wrong a few weeks ago and I was saying that Ron Paul will need to win the majority of the remaining primaries. I officially withdraw that statement but I still think it won't hurt to try to win states like Kentucky and N. Dakota.
So in conclusion: The best way for Ron Paul to win is to
1. Focus on winning TX and California.
2. Continue picking up as many delegates as possible in the remaining non-binding States, especially Montana and Nebraska.
3. Try to sway over the RNC delegates.
In case this method fails:
1. Get as many Ron Paul supporters elected as delegates who are bound to Romney. If we 2/3 of the delegate positions we can suspend the rules and unbind the delegates.
2. If we don't have the 2/3 required, then delegates must abstain.
Please give your thoughts.

This man tells in a frank and straightforward way why he will energetically opose the Obama campaign or anyone from using racial demagogury and class warfare to intimidate the electorate. He articulates Ron Paul's oppostion to certain aspects of the 1964 civil rights act quite well. He has formed a new group to advance the liberty message to all people. This was so encouraging to watch. I hope you will also be encouraged.

Soldiers & Citizens Defense & Restoration of the Constitution Through Article V-A real plan.
Submitted by Christopher A. Brown on Mon, 04/23/2012 - 14:33
Politics & Law
Firstly, the current state of America is so unconstitutional that an Article V is too likely to be hijacked for many to accept. Therefore, this proposal assumes that citizens and soldiers know this fact and agree that the nation must be returned to a semblance of constitutionality before the convening of an Article V convention to propose amendments, if the constitution is to be preserved.
This is needed to prevent a "re-write" or the notion of "constitutional convention" or to assure that proper "adjustments" are made to our constitution.
There are three primary amendments which citizens and soldiers need to demand delegates agree to propose and amend from each state.
1) Amendment countering the abridging of free speech and the that of the press.
2) Campaign finance reform, (citizens united reversal +).
3) Securing voting systems and election reform.
The strategy is that the above are amendments which are proposed and ratified at the onset of a convention that have the potential, after an appropriate period of perhaps six months, to bring the nation to the brink of citizen constitutionality simply by informing citizens of events that media will never share. Amendment 1) needs to return the usenet to its former prominance. Dot com is unconstitutional and the constitutiona cannot be effectively defended or upheld there. Citizens will be started on the process of deeper unity based in constitutional principle and natural law.
The first obstacle is congress, and has been for 100 years. They have been violating the law, the constitution and their oaths since 1911. A man named Bill Walker sued all congressional members in 2006 due to these facts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs7qIQ1VkEg&feature=player_embedded
Currently there is a formal criminal complaint against all members of congress for this behavior.
http://my.firedoglake.com/danielmarks/2012/02/18/congress-refuses-to-call-a-convention-to-amend/
An important formal step, but chances are the Attorney general will probably do nothing. And that, I and others would propose, is because we have suffered a covert infiltration of our government which is now quite complete, even at the state levels, which is why congress acted unconstitutionally for 100 years, evading their duty with Article V to see the infiltration completed. Accordingly, the maximum democratic involvement is required to overcome the embedding of infiltrations into states legislations in order for Abraham Lincolns words to be manifested.
"We, the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution."
Abraham Lincoln, April 15, 1865
Democracy depends on opinion, opinion depends information, information comes from media, media is infiltrated, . . . democracy needs a change of conditions.
Soldiers are citizens and both of those are logically the only people of this nation that WILL act to defend and restore the Constitution. It is very likely that this specific proposal for constitutional defense is too functional and legal for any current politician to support until citizens rally behind it. There are some constitutional politicians, but considerable support for an Article V convention needs to be created before they will break ranks from the status quo political environment.
In that case, it is up to soldiers and citizens to begin that support IF the constitution is to be defended and prevail.
First the soldiers direct legal inquiry into the "lawful military authority", a status which is required for orders to be binding. This is direct legal defense of the constitution by soldiers which has ultimate constitutionality, something logically intrinsic to defense of the constitution from a domestic enemy. Only a constitutional civil government can bestow the status of "lawful military authority" upon our military. When citizens present enough evidence of unconstitutional civil government to soldiers, to substantiate the presence of espionage and sedition explaining usurpation's of the constitution, soldiers who have pledged their lives to the constitution have the right, and even the duty to break rank and make inquiry upwards into the chain of command over them.
A "lawful military authority" will immediately provide a reasonable review with strict constitutional mandates controlling the review, of the soldiers evidence. IF the soldiers evidence is reasonable and verified showing usurpation's, the chain of command MUST be prepared to use its legal system, wherein all members of that system have taken the same oath as the soldier, to identify and defend the constitution from the domestic enemy who has conducted or is conducting usurpation's of the constitution. The following link is a 3 page .pdf download of this draft of a legal pleading titled the "Soldiers Inquiry".
Download soldiers_inquiry_draft-2_14.pdf from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
When the chain of command over the soldier fails to defend the constitution by providing authority to the soldier to make inquiry, citizens must file civil lawsuits; under United States Criminal Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 115 § 2382, "Misprision of treason" or "concealing treason"; against those opposing the soldier seeking an order of inquiry. Soldiers using this legal method are acting to expose treason in pursuit of their oath to defend the constitution and any who oppose are working to conceal it. Very simple.
In the absence of free speech which can have the intended and needed meaning, citizens need a special tool of technology to make the internet serve constitutional defense. Currently it is very well infiltrated and Obama advisor Cass Sunstein recommended "cognitive infiltration" of activists group on the web as well as the ground in 2008. There are many articles written on this. The word "cointelpro" was invented inthe 197-0's to describe known infiltrations then. Any who would like to see the links, ask. Not the topic here so I'm not posting them even though they are activities which threaten the constitution.
The following 3 page, pdf download describes a internet forum software that does not yet exist, but can quite easily. All that is required is a dedicated software programmer who has considerable skill and knowledge. If any such read this and are willing to do this in defense of the constitution, count on my assistance in conceptual development of algorithms etc., that I might do.
elanuslecurus@lycos.net
Download soldiers_inquiry_draft-2_14.pdf from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
The software puts the reasonable, lawful, citizens agreements at the most visible point for all citizens so they may join and give birth to informed opinion capable of true democracy.
Enough description of these methods and tools for constitutional defense. Do you really believe that any politician will do what needs to be done from this current sociopolitical environment? Time for action, then constitutionalists like Ron Paul can be free to do what needs to be done without suffering the unconstitutional criticism of the infiltrators that surround them. Readers need to realize this is it. Your last real opportunity to defend your constitution and your future well being, freedom and rights.
I hereby certify that all downloadable documents of this post are solely of my creation and given freely for defense of the United States Constitution,

Texas
OK, so when I saw that there is actually a county called LIBERTY county in Texas, I just HAD to buy SuperBrochures to send there. These things make a HUGE difference. They are very well designed and show all of his most convincing positions, people read them and sometimes keep them for years, and they cost just 55 cents per household.
I just bought the entire first page worth of precincts in LIBERTY county, Texas. (12 precincts). Proof
Even if you just buy ONE precinct it makes a big difference. Many Texans HATE Romney. They are searching for an alternative. Delegates are awarded proportionally in Texas, Ron Paul is spending tons of money there and drawing huge crowds, and its his home state. He could get ALOT of the 155 delegates from Texas.
I will also be donating another $50 dollars to the next moneybomb on May 17th. Rise for Liberty Moneybomb

Ron Paul Might Actually Win Republican Nomination (Yes Seriously)

http://www.michiganstandard.com/images/ron-paul.jpgThese results might not mean what you think.
After the Republican Party County Conventions held here last week, something has started to become increasingly clear – Mitt Romney does not have the Republican nomination for President secured. This may come as a surprise to many, but the primary voting on February 28th was essentially a beauty contest. Mitt Romney won 41.1% of the vote and Ron Paul won 11.6% of the vote, but the delegates are the ones that actually pick the candidate and the delegates will not be determined until the state convention on May 18th-19th.
Here’s how it works – first there is a primary where the voting is open to the public. This is what happened on February 28th and this was what received all of the media attention. It didn’t take long for various media outlets to project Mitt Romney as the winner, and by the next day we got the projections that Romney had been awarded 16 delegates, Santorum received 14, and Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich received none. This is where the confusion comes in.
The media projects delegates based on vote totals from the primary, but that is incorrect and inaccurate. Delegates are actually selected at county conventions which were held statewide on May 3rd. Then, a number of those delegates are selected to go on to the state convention which is May 18th-19th, and then from that pool of delegates, 30 are selected to go to the national convention where they will cast their vote for the nominee.
Almost one million people cast a vote in February for the Republican candidate of their choice, but only 30 people actually get to vote at the Republican national convention in August, and those 30 votes are the only votes that count. Those 30 people are the ones that Ron Paul has been targeting this whole time – not the one million people in the primary whose votes don’t actually count. This was the strategy used by Warren Harding and it got him elected President despite being relatively unpopular in the general voting. Now you see why Mitt Romney is getting nervous and the Republican Party is trying everything they can to ignore Ron Paul.
It’s unlikely that Ron Paul will get a majority of the 30 delegates from Michigan, and because of state party rules certain numbers of delegates are bound to vote for Mitt Romney in the first round of voting at the national convention. So the strategy that Ron Paul has been following is to get as many of his supporters on the slate of delegates even if they are bound by state party rules to vote for Romney. It remains to be seen how many Michigan delegates support Ron Paul, all we know for sure is that the official numbers are completely inaccurate.
Since a candidate needs 1,144 delegates to win the nomination at the national convention, any Ron Paul supporters that are bound to Mitt Romney can simply abstain from voting, thereby denying Romney enough delegates in the first round of voting. Then a second round of voting is required and all bound delegates are thereby released and allowed to vote for anybody they want. At that time, Ron Paul supporters will be free to vote for Ron Paul thereby guaranteeing that the Romney delegate total will decrease significantly in additional rounds of voting.
Delegates can even vote for other candidates that have suspended their campaigns (in case you were wondering why candidates “suspend” their campaign rather than “end” it – that’s why). This would be a disaster for Romney and at that point nobody knows what will happen. Nobody can deny that Romney appears to have very little support in the Republican Party and a brokered convention would probably destroy his chances of winning the nomination. After all, if he were going to be the candidate, it wouldn’t make it to a brokered convention in the first place.
Making matters worse, with Ron Paul still in the race the Republican National Committee is required not to show favoritism to any candidate. According to rule #11 found here, the party is not allowed to contribute money or any aid at all to one candidate over another. This rule seems to have been violated by RNC Chairman Reince Priebus on April 25th when he released the following statement indicating that the national party was lining up behind Romney, despite Ron Paul still being in the race:
“Governor Romney’s strong performance and delegate count at this stage of the primary process has made him our party’s presumptive nominee,” Mr. Priebus said. “In order to maximize our efforts I have directed my staff at the R.N.C. to open lines of communication with the Romney campaign.”
“It’s my intention to have a seamless and complete merger between the presumptive nominee and the Republican National Committee,” Mr. Priebus said. “That means political, communications, fund-raising, research and the chairman’s office, along with the governor’s main operational team, are completely merged.”
According to Republican Party rules, Ron Paul is entitled to those same fundraising efforts, and if we know anything about Ron Paul supporters they are going to hold the party to those rules. And Mr. Priebus better be careful or he may end up being replaced by a Ron Paul supporter too.

~Ron Paul's aim is to abolish the debt slavery & tax bondage of the FED/IRS Complex.
~Over the last 100 years of slavery we have gradually lost most of what America set out to be, do and have.
~We never had "World Wars" before the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank.
~We are not free. We are slaves.
~Put aside all of the non-essential issues and focus on abolishing slavery.

~Our first priority is to regain our liberty, peace and prosperity.
~This is the narrative, the context for all of my campaign communications with others. It shuts down all of the nattering and competitiveness between the staus quo candidates and Congressman Ron Paul.

Become a Blue Republican for the primaries, support Freedom, and vote Ron Paul.
Neither Ron Paul nor his campaign had anything to do with this video. I'm just a random guy sitting in my underwear finding interesting clips on the internet and making videos out of them.
I am in no way suggesting that 9/11 was an inside job by using footage of the attacks in this video; rather I am suggesting that our imperialistic adventures overseas are responsible for their hatred and inevitable blowback toward us. If you take issue with that, read the 9/11 report.
Most of the footage and interpretation of the events of the American Revolution were from the History Channel documentary 'America: Story of Us'.
It's a challenge to cram 400 years of history into a short youtube video, so please keep that in mind when watching this. I had to omit many details and speak vaguely of certain events in order to stick to a general narrative. My intention is not to mislead anyone on the events between 1619 and 2011; it is to highlight similarities between the original American Revolution and the one that is boiling beneath the surface today.

Ron Paul Ties Obama in Latest General Election Matchup Poll
Poll proves limited-government principles are viable vs. unfulfilled promises and big-money establishment backing
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul would tie the sitting president 42 to 42 percent if the general election were held today, according to a recent survey from Rasmussen Reportsas reported by Real Clear Politics.
“President Obama receives support from the liberal establishment including full reputational umbrella coverage from many in the media and he is aided by hundred million dollar advertising budgets. This poll tying Ron Paul with Obama is nothing short of a biting embarrassment to the president,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
“Ron Paul continues to match or outperform the sitting president due in part to his ‘Plan to Restore America,’ winning on principle as opposed to unfulfilled promises and overflowing campaign coffers. In short, the electability of the president should be held in question as voters shift attention from rhetoric and status quo solutions to authenticity, substance, and real change.” added Mr. Benton.
This poll marks the third time this year Paul has either tied or bested Obama in a Rasmussen matchup poll. The data are derived from the responses of 1,000 likely voters surveyed from May 6th-7th. Proprietary access to the poll can be found here.

Rasmussen: Obama 42% Paul 42%
In 2004, Republicans railed against someone who was perceived as an out-of-touch Massachusetts elitist. Enough independents agreed with this sentiment to defeat John Kerry and re-elect a still unpopular George W. Bush. Already, Democrats are railing against the establishment GOP frontrunner as an out-of-touch Massachusetts elitist. Still, Republicans are simply banking on Obama’s unpopularity.
But like 2004, will this be enough for Republicans to win?
The latest Rasmussen poll shows Ron Paul tied with President Obama, with both men scoring 42% of the general electorate vote. But what does this mean? Simple: Paul represents something far and away different from both the Democratic and Republican establishments and the American people know it. Better yet, they like it.
But does the GOP get this? Like 2004, Americans are simply not satisfied with the two establishment candidates. What is it about Ron Paul that attracts people from across every imaginable ideological, religious, racial and political background? What is it about a message of individual freedom, peace and prosperity that continues to excite so many Americans?
This isn’t the first time Ron Paul has measured up well against the President in a poll. Instead of ignoring him, Republicans better start figuring out why only Ron Paul continues to generate the kind of excitement both parties just can’t seem to muster.

Why ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ is 110,000 Strong
The campaign made the announcement today that the ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ (YFP) program membership has now surpassed 110,000 members.
This has happened in just eight months. This is amazing.
It is also not surprising. Discussing what he calls ‘First Globals’ (18-29 year olds) renowned pollster John Zogby broke down some interesting statistics last week at Forbes:
On some key issues, majorities of First Globals are not doctrinaire liberals. The poll found less than majorities agree with liberals on some of their most cherished beliefs. For example: 44% agree health insurance is a right government should provide for those who can’t afford it, 43% agree with the same statement about food and shelter, 37% agree government should spend more to reduce poverty, 20% agree government spending is an effective way to economic growth and 28% agree government should do more to curb climate change even at the expense of economic growth. (That last number has to hurt environmentalists.)
Lest Republicans get too giddy at those findings, they should also know less than majorities agree with these conservative and neo-con ideals: 22% agree it’s sometimes necessary to attack potentially hostile countries rather than waiting until we are attacked, 23% are willing to give up some personal freedoms for the sake of national security, 39% agree cutting taxes is an effective route to economic growth, 24% agree we should eliminate all barriers to trade, 25% agree recent immigration has done more harm than good, 21% agree religious values should play an important role in government and 25% agree homosexuality is morally wrong.
Zogby concludes:
These attitudes betraying both the traditional left and right fall generally within the bounds of libertarianism. Live and let live. Individual responsibility is as important as collective responsibility. Avoid military interventions. Distrust both government and corporations. Protect civil liberties.
Young voters have been the energy behind Ron Paul… He is still in the GOP race for President, apparently looking to impact the party platform.
Impact indeed. Those 110,000 Youth for Ron Paul members represent a force that will continue to reshape American politics far beyond 2012.
History is full of small groups that start revolutions. 110,000 is not a small group.

‘Youth for Ron Paul’ Member Total Exceeds 110,000 Lifelong Small-Government Activists
Supporters in 627 nationwide chapters commit to lasting political reform as they carry responsibility to govern their lives and bring about real change
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that its ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ (YFP) program membership has surpassed the 110,000 mark.
Since the program launched in September 2011, and as of yesterday, the number of YFP members was 110,880. Members have established 627 sanctioned chapters in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia.
Young supporters including college-age activists and new workforce entrants established these chapters nationwide to remain politically involved expressly to challenge the status quo, bring about lasting prosperity, and work toward the full, permanent restoration of their economic and civil liberties. Ron Paul, the champion of these aims, often declares that the free-market and constitutional ideas he espouses are young ones, and that an idea whose time has come stands no chance of being stopped. The intellectual revolution youth are bringing about, then, is a manifestation of all that Dr. Paul hopes to achieve through his lifelong advocacy and pursuit of our nation’s highest office.
“Young Americans are often viewed as a solid constituency for the left and establishment Washington, who make promise after promise about a federal government that will ‘take care of them’ from cradle to the grave. Now it’s clear that more than 110,000 young Americans reject this empty rhetoric and have committed themselves to the principles of constitutionally-limited government and the restoration of their economic and civil liberties as real solutions to our nation’s challenges,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Manager John Tate.

I live in IL but drive to work in St. Louis. On my way in to work after a few jams on a classic rock station in which I was listening ends, two people start talking for their morning radio show at 7. The man and woman were discussing a new report out from the DoA stating that the cost to raise a child to the age of 17 is up 25%. They go on to say that it will cost $225,000 to raise said child. While they were ranting about the cost of groceries, health care, and cars and how this all contribute to the huge cost of raising a child I was frustratedly thinking, "But it's because of inflation that all of these things are more expensive!" And then I hear the male host say this:
"...and then we have the devaluation of the dollar because interest rates are too low"
Queue immediate celebration in my car.
We are doing it fellow Paul supporters. We are having an impact. Our message is out and the cat's out of the bag for the Keynsians. I am just so happy right now about this I had to share!
Keep spreading the truth.
With love,

Rand Paul: Tea Party wins in Indiana

Rand Paul
Indiana
By Sen. Rand Paul
Reports of the Tea Party’s death have been exaggerated greatly. Oh sure, Harry Reid may say it’s dead, and he clearly wishes it were so. The upset victory of Richard Mourdock in Indiana indicates the Tea Party is alive and well.
Something remarkable happened Tuesday night in Indiana. Voters from nearly every part of the Republican Party came together to vote for change. Not just any change - change from a well-liked 36-year incumbent. Let me note here that I mean no disrespect to my departing colleague, Richard G. Lugar, who is a gentleman and has served honorably.
But this kind of change does not happen very often in politics. Ninety-six percent of incumbents win. Defeating an incumbent is extraordinary and is evidence of an electorate that thinks government debt should be controlled. The chattering class complains about the death of the center and bipartisanship. We are told a safe seat has been endangered.

Romney Under Investigation for a Felony, Could Disqualify Presidential Hopeful
Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel today opened an investigation into the “Subs-for-Votes” scandal. Yesterday while wrapping up his Wisconsin tour the Romney Campaign bought $500 worth of Cousin’s subs to encourage the crowd to hit the polls and vote for Romney. Unfortunately for Romney there are a few things that you can’t do on election day in Wisconsin, and Rep. Paul Ryan who was arm-in-arm with with Romney throughout the ordeal neglected to tell the presidential candidate that the distribution of goods on election day is illegal.

GOP Threw 2012 Election to Obama in 2009, Multi-billion dollar ponzi scheme involving Romney and Son
So to review, we have Mitt Romney coughing up $10 million to help start a firm that hired three brokers who sold bogus CDs for Stanford Financial and made some decent money on the deal, too. Not only that, but Spencer Zwick the lead fundraiser for Romney’s campaign is a principal in the Solamere Capital firm along with these Stanford brokers. Spencer Zwick does business as SJZ, LLC, and has been paid over $2 million in fees by the Romney campaign.
Since sentencing of the first convict begins in June of 2012, it is guaranteed to blow up as a major campaign issue leading into August, September and November of this year, and will affect the GOP campaigns.
The criminal fraud not only of Madoff and Stanford, but of the major banks and Wall Street firms has so overwhelmed the economy of this country that voters will be hard pressed to give the office to one so deeply connected to these evils.

RNC still touting Romney

Last night I received a call from the RNC. The caller said he was calling on behalf of the RNC, "Mitt Romney and all the other candidates". I asked him why he singled out Romeny by name, why he didn't say "Mitt Romney and Ron Paul". He argued with me that Dr Paul was included in the phrase "other candidates". I asked him how many other candidates were running for president. "None, they all dropped out." I asked why mention Mitt by name at all. He said, "Because he's got 700 delegates". I told him to wait until the Convention and watch the first vote.
By now the caller and I were both pretty heated. I told him Priebus should resign because he was violating the RNC's own rules, I had voted Republican since the Reagan days and was ashamed of the party because of the dirty tricks they were playing in the state conventions and caucuses. I concluded by telling him I was only giving money to Ron Paul until after the November election.
Not surprisingly, as I was noting that the caller should get an honest job, he hung up on me.
C'est la vie!

Romney will not have the nomination, even with 1,144 delegates, not even close

Ron Paul 2012
Suppose for a second Romney secures more than 1,144 delegates before the national convention. Does that make him the official nominee? No it does not.
He only becomes the nominee after the first vote at the convention. He needs 1,144 delegate VOTES at the convention to become the nominee.
What everyone is afraid of is that they think if he secures 1,144 delegates its all over when its really not even close. They think that once you have a bound Romney delegate you are forced to vote for Romney. You dont.
If a good chunk of Romney delegates are really stealth Paul supporters they can all abstain on the first vote thus keeping Mittens from acheiving the nomination altogether and creating round two - aka brokered convention.
Once we have that its an easy victory.
Right now our main focus should be to make sure all stealth paul supporters who are Romney delegates know that they need to abstain for the first round.
We can still very much win this. We just need a small chunk of them to abstain and we have a brokered convention. Romney will need way more than 1,144 delegates to win.

Mitt Romney's 1981 arrest and 4 other times he lost his cool

Interesting "well-guarded temper."
Fans of truly explosive political fireworks may have been disappointed when the seemingly unflappable Mitt Romney won the Republican nod to face the famously no-drama President Obama. But flashes of Romney's well-guarded temper have made cameo appearances on the campaign trail, and BuzzFeed's Andrew Kaczynski just unearthed a gem from Romney's past: A three-decade-old arrest for clashing with a law officer. Here, a look at that tale and four classic "Mitt-frontations" (as his family calls them)

A message to Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum supporters
Submitted by Ian56 on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 07:36
Daily Paul Liberty Forum
If it were not for the total and shameful bias shown by Fox News towards Romney it would now probably still be a four way fight.
Santorum would have been declared the winner in Iowa immediately.
Newt would have won Florida (Fox suppressed the Newt Damon fraud ad) and Romney would have been really floundering.
Take away Romney's cash and GOP election rigging and it would have been a straight 3 way fight without Romney, between candidates with similar levels of resources. A fair fight not one bought by Fox media bias and bankers, Bain and NuSkin cash.
Romney cannot beat Obama in November. Romney is so unpopular even amongst Gop voters and so poor a candidate with so much baggage still unaired, that he cannot beat Obama as poorly positioned as Obama is.
A jailbird from Texas recently challenged Obama in the Democratic selection and got 40% of the vote to Obama's 60%. Romney does only slightly better than a Texas jailbird on current polls.
Romney is going to get absolutely slaughtered in November. It's not even close.
Electoral College map - current state of play :-
Ian56: Electoral College Maps - Romney CANNOT win UPDATED 05/09 to Include Karl Rove's assessment
Newt and Rick's recent endorsements of Romney were about the most luke warm and barbed that I have ever heard.
So the question to Newt and Rick supporters - delegates and voters is :-
Are you going to toe the line and support Romney, picked by Fox and unseemly wealthy backers, who will be slaughtered by Obama in November.
Or are you going to stand up for yourself and do something else and get a Republican in the White House not Obama?
N.B. Romney baggage.
Obama's going to use it plus some more, almost all of it is unknown to the general public. Fox never aired it.

Ron Paul Might Actually Win Republican Nomination (Yes Seriously)
byJ Vincent BurrMay 7, 2012

http://www.michiganstandard.com/images/ron-paul.jpgThese results might not mean what you think.

The "Anyone but Obama" Mentality and Why It Is Destroying our Political Process!
Submitted by principle_first on Thu, 05/10/2012 - 09:33Ron Paul 2012
I do not support a second term for Barack Obama. With that said, I want to comment on this "anyone but Obama" mentality that seems to be a popular campaign slogan for the Republican party. I have a lot of beef with this. It is not because I don't agree that Obama is steering this country in the wrong direction. It is because I don't believe that any Republican would be better than him. This kind of logic says - at least to me - that the Republican party is the answer. I have no faith in any party and this logic only strengthens the two party system which I despise greatly. "Anyone but Obama" is an ambiguous statement that has no meaning to me. I don't want just anyone. I want a president with principles and who respects our individual liberties.
People need to question their allegiances to their parties. The Democrat/Republican seesaw that has been our political process for over a century is a problem that has been destroying this country from the inside out. I'm no scholar when it comes to history but you might benefit from reading George Washington's farewell address. He speaks about the growing influence of political parties in detail. He argues that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms amongst the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country (Wikipedia "George Washington's Farewell Address"). This is coming from the first president of the United States. Wake up people! Something has got to change! We can no longer 'hope' for it or it will never come!

Ron Paul 2012
TAMPA, May 10, 2012 – With his wins in Maine and Nevada last weekend and imminent wins at state conventions in six more states, it appears that some of us were correct when we said over a month ago that rumors of Ron Paul’s campaign demise were greatly exaggerated.
The media continues to insinuate that there is not only something underhanded about Paul’s strategy, but something fundamentally wrong with what Politico describes as “the country’s cumbersome and arcane system for nominating presidential candidates.” According to this narrative, Paul’s supporters are “undermining democracy” by using said “arcane rules” to nullify the wishes of the electorate.
