Detroit Free Press: Super Tuesday's stakes are super high -- but the battle for GOP nomination is far from over
-snip-
Mitt Romney's victories in Michigan and Arizona's primaries last week helped him regain front-runner status, but he still has a lot to prove Tuesday. Namely, that his advantage in money, organization and endorsements pays off. Even if it does, don't expect Rick Santorum, Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich to go away quickly.- end snip-
"Barring an explosion, which certainly could happen, it all comes down to California" and its 172 delegates, said Henry Olsen, a political expert at the Washington-based American Enterprise Institute.
California's primary isn't until June 5.
Four years ago, 24 states held contests Feb. 5, and John McCain won the most, essentially locking the GOP nomination. This year, Super Tuesday is 10 states -- Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia. It's a big deal, but it's unlikely to be anyone's end game.
Read the whole thing at the Detroit Free Press. Plus a nice big picture of Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul Revolution: Could complete biggest upset in GOP history
Mason Buran
Ron Paul Examiner
Rule 38, the rule that has grabbed the hopes of the Ron Paul Revolution and instilled fear throughout the Republican establishment. Due to the recent discovery of Rule 38 and the effect it may cause on the Republican National Convention, many political analysts have placed their own interpretation on what it exactly stands for. Rule 38 states, "No delegate or alternate delegate shall be bound by any attempt of any state or Congressional district to impose the unit rule.” I am here to tell you the truth about Rule 38 and it lies in the hands of a ruling by the Republican National Convention Legal Counsel back in 2008.
The Republican National Convention Legal Counsel deals with rulings and controversies within a party. Utah follows the winner-take-all delegate awarding system, which means that the majority winner of the state attains all 40 delegates. In Utah, during the 2008 GOP Nomination process, a delegate refused to vote with the state's primary winner, Mitt Romney. The Republican National Convention Legal Counsel commented with this statement.“Jennifer Sheehan, Legal Counsel for the RNC, plainly stated in a letter to Nancy Lord, Utah National Committeewoman, several weeks before the convention, 'The RNC does not recognize a state's binding of national delegates, but considers each delegate a free agent who can vote for whoever they choose.'”In order to become a delegate, it involves a long and enduring process by attending after-caucus/primary meetings. Following those meetings, potential delegates are then required to attend district and state conventions where the delegates are then nominated to the convention. The process requires that the supporters have a lot of patience, while still maintaining enthusiasm for their ideal candidate. Ron Paul's supporters have been taking advantage of this process ever since Iowa. In many of the winner-take-all states, Ron Paul supporters have been nominated as delegates to the Republican National Convention but are still hypothetically bound to Mitt Romney. However, according to this ruling by the Republican National Convention Legal Counsel, they are not required to vote for Mitt Romney in any circumstance.
Let us not forget, the Republican Party is a private organization and are subject to their own ruling. If they do decide to listen to their ruling from 2008, the Ron Paul Revolution could complete one of the biggest feats in GOP history.

Illegal adjournment of OK convention caught on tape

After reading through several posts and comments, there seems to be a lot of confusion over the details of how the OK Convention ended up in the parking lot. I was watching a livestream at the time and thought that procedure to be very significant. IF the meeting was adjourned improperly, or never adjourned at all, then the proceedings in the parking lot were a continuance of the Convention and the results of the 'parking lot convention' should be binding. If the meeting was properly adjourned, then the efforts in the parking lot to re convene would be out of order.
Watch this video, especially from minute 24 and beyond, and voice your opinion. IMHO it seems that the 'nays' to adjourn the meeting and the calls for point of order were ignored by the chair who declared with a '2nd' that the meeting was adjourned. In fact, the meeting was never adjourned. A standing vote was taken after the crowd had stood up to leave and was declared a positive result. Conventioneers were complaining that the convention business was unfinished, the lights were turned off briefly...watch the video.

Spine Tingling VIDEO! 2012 Is About Abolishing Economic Slavery In America
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8BDc5b3vTg
~We're on the verge of abolishing economic slavery in America.
~Ron Paul's aim is to abolish the debt slavery & tax bondage of the FED/IRS Complex.
~Over the last 100 years of slavery we have gradually lost most of what America set out to be, do and have.
~We never had "World Wars" before the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank.
~We are not free. We are slaves.
~Put aside all of the non-essential issues and focus on abolishing slavery.
~Let's start there.
~Our first priority is to regain our liberty, peace and prosperity.
~This is the narrative, the context for all of my campaign communications with others. It shuts down all of the nattering and competitiveness between the staus quo candidates and Congressman Ron Paul.
~No other candidate is cognizant of, or focused on abolishing the crushing debt slavery and tax bondage as a social issue.

Thank you for reporting. My heart swells thinking of the fine folks in Oklahoma who would not let rule violations dictate convention procedures. 1500+ people across the nation, watched the entire proceedings and saw the prior blatant disregard for the rules, until the convention was moved outside. It was then smooth, orderly and followed Robert's Rules and OK election rules to the letter. I would like to add, I appreciate the Red Dirt Reporter showing up to view how proper the proceedings were.
We are not just "Paul people" we are Constitutional Republicans.
It is indeed our path to return our great nation back to constitutionality. Our constitution is being eroded by the status quo, both Dems and Reps and it must stop for the sake of liberty. We are not "Paul's people", we are a growing movement who has chosen Dr Paul because of his adherence to the Constitution and loyalty to Americans. We have been the primary funding source from the beginning (as opposed to Obama's and Romney's big Wall Street financiers, who are almost identical).
We will remain long after Dr Paul has retired from politics.
We will support other sincere Constitutional Republicans as well.
You see, We are not his, he is ours. God bless the Constitution, God bless America.

Ron Paul 2012
Texas
I have been a Ron Paul supporter for over a year now. I have a bumper sticker on my truck and a "Ron Paul 2012" sign in my yard. I talk to co-workers,friends,neighbors, and strangers about issues of freedom and liberty. I donated financially to the campaign. I slept good at night feeling I was helping the cause and "doing my part".
Then a month or so ago I discovered the Daily Paul and started following all the conventions that were taking place via U-stream and the like. I started learning how the conventions and delegate selection process works, Roberts Rules (never heard of them before).
Watching the people at those conventions, many who look they are still in high school, filming the events, becoming delegates, taking their involvement to the limits of their ability... That's when it hit me. I'm not doing enough. I live in Texas, the delegates to the state convention are already chosen. I missed the boat.
I'm 40 yrs old, and these "kids" are out there that know more about how government works and are doing more than I have done to advance the cause of liberty.
I failed to become a delegate..there may be someone at the convention that is for the establishment rather than me being there.
It's not good enough to be a cheerleader standing on the sidelines. Never again will I miss the opportunity to become a delegate!

Doug Wead blog:
Ron Paul stuns in Arizona, upset win is game changer!
In a repeat of Iowa, where a Mitt Romney State Chairman held up accurate results of the vote for weeks, the Arizona State Convention has gone into overtime. Ballots are supposedly locked up, waiting to be counted “tomorrow.” But citizens and journalists on the floor had no trouble discerning that Ron Paul forces had seized the day and if the vote is fair, he will likely win the majority of delegates from Arizona to the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
If the victory in Arizona proves true, and remember, there is a tantalizing and suspicious delay, then Ron Paul will likely win the right to be nominated on the floor of the Republican National Convention in Tampa. It isn’t over yet, there are some Ron Paul states that have been won at the County or District level, that still need the formality of winning the state convention, but barring parliamentary jujitsu, it is on track to happen. It is big news.
.
The past weekend began with infuriating news for the Ronulans, from Norman, Oklahoma, where Santorum and Romney forces united to shut out the Ron Paul people at the Oklahoma State GOP Convention. By some estimates Ron Paul supporters were a majority on the floor of the convention and thus should have walked away with another win. Others, basing the vote on an attempt to elect Ron Paul supporter, Richard Engle as national committeeman, suggested that they actually accounted for 48.2% of the state convention vote.
.
Said Engle, “Under a one man, one vote scenario, I had a majority. This was acknowledged as the roll call came in from each county. When the program to apportion the votes was done 48.2% was reported. I am challenging the results and calling for a recount as the difference between victory and defeat is less than 2% as we have proof of prior mis-reporting of county numbers as well as a history of making rounding errors. Regardless, the actual majority of Delegates did support me. There is no way of knowing if that directly represents a majority for Dr. Paul.”
.
And we may never know. Frightened that the Ron Paul delegates had become the majority in the convention, the establishment GOP, running the event, used its own errors in the Credentials Report to stall the convention for several hours. On the premise that the time for the convention hall rental was coming to an end they refused to hold a final vote on credentials or to acknowledge the calls for a roll call vote on the Delegates and Alternates as required under the rules.
.
Said Engle, “They played fast and loose with the rules. If they had not used a roll call vote on my race I would have won and then they used a voice vote on 50 members of the Delegation and refused a roll call vote at that point. The chair ruled that a roll call was not required when the party rule was shown him in plain English. When the ruling of the chair was challenged he called for a voice vote and proceeded to rule that his decision was upheld despite the overwhelming sound of Delegates against him.”
.
The final slate was 62% Romney, 22% Santorum, 4% Gingrich and 4% Ron Paul. A devastating defeat for the majority.
.
Paul delegates who had give up weeks and months of their lives to get elected as delegates at the precinct and county levels were scandalized. Taking a chapter from Missouri, they tried to convene outside the venue in the parking lot, claiming a plurality and calling to do things in order. But was it too late?
Challenges will surely follow.
.
Meanwhile, in Phoenix, Arizona, cocky Romney forces led by Nathan Sproul saw defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Ironically, the Ron Paul forces came to the state GOP convention to play nice. They offered a deal. ”You know our knack for organizing?” They said, ” You know we have the numbers? Why don’t we make sure there are no surprises and nothing embarrassing. Your candidate has the nomination, we will give you 50% plus one of the delegation to Tampa, that gives you the majority, and let us have a nice delegation of the leftovers for our man too.”
But no. The Mitt Romney forces insisted on scorched earth. ”You can have one,” they said.
The Romney team then proceeded to fall apart. It was so bad that Ron Paul operative Shawn Dow couldn’t have given them a victory if he had wanted it. Said a Ron Paul staffer, “No matter how we tried, the Romney people wouldn’t move off their one delegate offer. We had no choice. We had to win.”
Sydney Hay, a Ron Paul spokesman who is sometimes seen on the Bill Mahr Show and once won a congressional nomination in Arizona , gave a positive, conciliatory speech to the convention. And Josh Romney was well received by all. And then, in a moment poorly handled, he returned to the microphone to pitch his daddy’s green ballot, with the Romney slate.
Yes, indeed, at that point there were boos but they came from the whole floor, even from Romney supporters who had worked hard to get their names considered as delegates. No one was in the mood to let outsiders dictate a list of his friends who should go to Tampa. It was yet another example of a poorly run machine. The Romney kid should never have been given such an assignment.
“Why make Josh Romney get involved in a precinct level fight for delegates?” asked Sydney Hay. “Here was a presidential candidate’s son down in the gutter in a fight. They never should have put him in this place.”
Ron Paul took 11 of 18 delegates decided in the district caucuses. It was the “at large” delegates that were left in the air. The Romney forces stalled for hours, hoping to outlast the Ronulans who stayed put as Romney delegates, disgusted with their own organization, finally began to drift away.
In a last ditch effort the Romney forces tried to declare that there was now no quorum and other motions were offered. When the vote for the “at large” delegates was finally taken it was sealed, under lock and key, with the promise that “tomorrow we will count those and sort things out.”
Uh huh.
Finally, the lights were turned out and the Ronulans were sent home, exhausted and weary, unaware that they had probably just made history and put their man into nomination at Tampa. For the Romneyites, the unthinkable had happened. It is not done yet, but Ron Paul may very well see his name entered into nomination in Tampa.
This last weekend was perhaps the most mean spirited of all. One has to wonder, if Mitt Romney has won the nomination, why can’t they communicate that message to the state conventions? The fact is that something bigger is happening than the nomination of a candidate. The Republican Party is being remade in the image of Ron Paul, the Thomas Jefferson of our generation. The Ronulan invasion continues. It is not a conspiracy. It is organic. It is natural. And it cannot be stopped.
Romney delegates on the attack.

SIGNIFICANT RON PAUL DELEGATE VICTORIES in the OLD DOMINION! RESHAPING of the VIRGINIA GOP Through the STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE!
Posted on 13 May 2012.
I have found this from the Daily Paul about the five district conventions held today in the First, Second, Third, Seventh and Eighth Congressional Districts and the word is surprisingly encouraging:
Submitted by Virginian on Sat, 05/12/2012 – 18:26.This added to these victories in the other districts:
Looks like we got a good number so far.
Adding to the list below:
CD1: 2/3
CD2: 2/3? (Could be 3/3)
CD3: 3/3
CD7: 0/3
CD8: 1/3
Thats so far 10 -11 out of 18 which is over half.
Submitted by valleyforge on Sat, 05/12/2012 – 19:33. PermalinkI contacted the NEW THIRD District GOP CHAIRMAN, J. Christopher Stearns, who confirmed the following numbers (as well as his own election!):
April 28
CD4 1/3
CD9 3/3
May 5
CD6 3/3
CD 1: 2/3 national delegates, sweep of state central committee (3/3)
CD 2: 2/3 national delegates, another SWEEP of state central committee (3/3)
CD 3: 3/3 national delegates, STILL ANOTHER SWEEP of state central committee! (3/3)
(Our national curling team could use sweepers like this!)
CD 7: 0/3 national delegates, 0/3 state central.
CD 8: 3/3 national delegates and 3/3 state central.
I have not confirmed the other districts as far as RP delegates or state central but just these numbers will reshape the future of the Grand Ol’ Party in the Old Dominion. It means libertarians will have a seat at the table with the state party. I am a delegate to that convention and I plan (Lord willing) to be there for that. Maybe a live blog…
UPDATE: The new RP members of state central might get to decide the biggest question of 2013: How is the fight between Lt. Governor Bolling and Attorney General Cuccinelli (Note: I have endorsed Cuccinelli) for Governor: Primary or Convention? Convention is cheaper but also favors Cuccinelli. Here’s a Virginian-Pilot article on this question.
The groundwork for that possible shift, which could limit broader access to the nomination process, is being laid now even as a fight for party control builds ahead of a likely gubernatorial matchup between Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. It is safe to say the staid, steeped in convention (pun intended) Virginia GOP is due for a big change. I think it is a positive change. Let’s invite and welcome liberty candidates into the GOP
Behind it is a roster of Ron Paul loyalists, Cuccinelli supporters, tea partyers and other factions – what one activist called a “perfect storm of odd alliances within the Republican Party.”
They’ve been quietly working to put like-minded people in seats on regional Republican panels that come with votes on the Virginia GOP’s governing body, the State Central Committee.

Romney is in deep trouble...
Submitted by roythom on Sun, 05/13/2012 - 09:15
which means the bankers dream team of Romney/Obama is in deep trouble. Romney, of course, is there to ensure Obama is kept in the White House. He cannot beat Obama and everyone is now surely seeing that. He does not even have sufficient genuine support to organize a comfortable win in local and state conventions, despite supposedly having the support of the establishment and mass media. His "team" is forced, in full public view, to blatantly cheat and lie in breach of the Republican Party's own rules. Stalin and Mugabe would love the Romney team tactics. It is so easy to stick on a Ron Paul shirt and hand out fake slates.
That's the name of the Romney Stalinesque game and is hardly the confident strutting of a "presumptive nominee", itself a disastrous and glaring mistake by the RNC in breaching its own rules.
However all is far from over. The propaganda has moved into a new phase. Having been unable to paint Ron Paul himself in a bad light, and inept at countering his policy views with better policies, the propaganda machine is now seeking to discredit Ron Paul supporters.
In such a large movement as the Ron Paul Revolution there is sure to be the odd bad apple, but you can now expect fake Ron Paul supporters to be cropping up all over the place as part of the campaign to discredit Ron Paul's supporters. The usual divide and conquer tactic is already evident sometimes on this site, but it will likely become more intense as the establishment realizes their guy is heading to defeat in Tampa. The mass manipulation media of course will latch onto this with their usual tricks. They have already been testing the word "steal" and other derogatory terms to play down the recent successes in district and state conventions. They will not be declaring that Ron Paul is the Presumptive President, which he is.
As always it is a time to keep focused on the end goal of Ron Paul in the White House. Be alert for the media backlash and for the upgraded propaganda, but always keep in mind that Ron Paul has been attacked by the media for decades and has come out unscathed. It is therefore imperative that his supporters act in a way that is in keeping with the example that Ron Paul sets. We are proud of Ron Paul, please ensure he is proud of his supporters. Be on alert for fakes online and in Ron Paul shirts. They will surely make mistakes that will arouse your suspicion.
Be assured that the liars and cheats will in the end destroy themselves along with Mitt Romney's campaign. Whatever they do will backfire with almost instant blowback. Soon their propaganda toolbox will be empty. I believe there are enough genuine Republican members to see the light before the Tampa convention and encourage Mitt Romney to spend more time with his family, to make way for Presumptive President Ron Paul.

Well my dearest R3VOL, I actually have a much worse news for ya; it's a lot worse than any of us had ever imagined: all the Jekyll Island/occult origins of the Fed.Res. aside, the current 'economists' in charge at the Federal Reserve, actually, really, truly don't have ANY clue just what the hell they're talking about, or writing about, nor doing about!
The Misesian/Rothbardian Austrian Economist Robert Wenzel was actually invited to speak at the Fed. recently (not sure if this thread ever made the Daily Paul Frontpage), despite some last minute protest from its members. While there is no original audio recording of the speech, a fellow Austrian Jeffrey Rowberg has narrated/recorded in his own voice,
Robert's speech as delivered at the Fed:
Audio Version of My NY Fed Speech
Robert Wenzel | Saturday, April 28, 2012
Jeff Rowberg emails:
I read your Fed speech earlier today, and I thought it was fantastic. And gutsy, definitely gutsy. You are probably hearing that a lot right now.PS. Seems the NY Fed has caught a sado-masochistic bug as of late; apparently they also invited Dr. Paul's candidate to be the last Fed.Res.Chairman ever, Jim Grant, to skewer them, at their own HQ:
It appears that the speech was not recorded, at least not on video, and probably not otherwise. Not in a way we can access it, anyway. Therefore, I have taken the liberty of recording an audio version of your prepared remarks. I'm sure it isn't a perfect representation, but it may be useful to those who would rather have an audio version, for podcasts, sharing, giving to people who don't want to make time to read, etc. I put the final MP3 up on my website for you to do with as you wish:

Last night I was at the bar and ran into some people I knew from high school. After talking about careers and their education alot of what they were saying I agreed with so I asked the question "who yall gunna vote for come november?"
They all quickly responded "obama!"
Kinda dissapointed all I could think to say was why?? With a disgusted look on my face.
One said I like his policies and what he has done for our country.
I said which policy would that be?
The foriegn policy sending our soldiers over seas to kill mostly innocent people for no reason or what we call terrorism?
Or because he signed the ndaa or the ndrp which takes away your 6th amendment and violates the constitution?
Or the debt he has risen more than any other president in U.S. History combined?
Or do you agree with him disobeying the constitution fighting undeclared wars?
None of them could respond with anything about the policies but instead I was asked "well since you know so much about all of this who are you voting for?"
I said RON PAUL!
I got a quick response of "he will never win he has no chance"
I said how so? The popular votes dont matter the delegates do and thats how he will win the republican nomination then I asked if they even knew how the nominating process worked.
One guy said "yea all the states that voted picked romney"
I said "thats not correct. I just watched the oklahoma state convention where the romney camp tried to cheat ron paul and they ended up convening in the parking lot, the outcomes in iowa, washington, minnesota, maine, nevada, louisiana and even massachusetts are going pauls way" they didnt believe me.
Right before I walked away I said "hey I respect your opinion to be on obamas side, but I dont agree with you.
Before november comes I hope all of you do some research on your candidate and agree with what he does not what he says" and walked away.
I think I enlightened a few people on some knowledge here in tennessee and maybe got paul some more backing.
Just thought id share! RP2012 :)

The U.S. wanted an oil pipe line to go through S.O. that broke away from Georgia 18 years prior and when S.O. declined Georgia attacked killing thousands.
Russia counter attacked to protect IT's citizens that lived in the S.O. Region and not only waxed Georgia, but black water as well
So now we have Marines rotating in and out of Georgia that borders Russia as well... this shit has got to stop
South Ossetia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclope
South Ossetians declared independence from Georgia in 1990, calling themselves the Republic of South Ossetia. The Georgian government responded by abolishing South Ossetia's autonomy and trying to retake the region by force.[4] This led to the 1991–1992 South Ossetia War.[5] Georgian fighting against those controlling South Ossetia occurred on two other occasions, in 2004 and 2008.[6] The last conflict led to the 2008 South Ossetia war, during which Ossetian and Russian forces gained full, de facto control of the territory of the former South Ossetian Autonomous Oblast.
In the wake of the 2008 South Ossetia War, Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Nauru, and Tuvalu recognized South Ossetia as an independent republic.[7][8][9][10][11]
Georgia does not recognize the existence of South Ossetia as a political entity, and considers most of its territory a part of the Shida Kartli region under Georgian sovereignty, occupied by the Russian army.[12]
2008 War
Main article: 2008 South Ossetia war
The prelude to the conflict began with violent clashes on Wednesday, 6 August 2008 with both sides claiming having been fired upon by the other. Separatist authorities in South Ossetia said that Georgia shelled South Ossetian villages, killing six Ossetians.[31][32] The Georgian interior ministry claimed Georgian forces had returned fire only after South Ossetian positions shelled Georgian-controlled villages injuring six civilians and one Georgian policeman. The Georgian interior ministry accused the South Ossetian side of "trying to create an illusion of serious escalation, an illusion of war." In addition, the commander of the Georgian peacekeeping unit, General Kurashvili, accused the Russian peacekeepers of participating in the shelling of the Georgian villages.[33] South Ossetia denied provoking the conflict.[34][35]
According to Moscow Defense Brief, over the course of several days in early August, the Georgians concentrated a significant number of troops and equipment, including the full 2nd, 3rd and 4th Infantry Brigades, the Artillery Brigade, the elements of the 1st Infantry Brigade, the separate Gori Tank Battalion, among others — all in all, up to 16,000 men — in the Georgian enclaves in the South Ossetian conflict zone, under cover of providing support for the exchange of fire with Ossetian formations."[36] International Institute for Strategic Studies and Western intelligence experts give a lower estimate, saying that the Georgians had amassed about 12,000 troops and 75 tanks on the South Ossetian border by 7 August.[37]
On 7 August, Georgian and Ossetian forces agreed on a ceasefire.[38] However, in the first hours of 8 August 2008, Georgia launched a massive attack. According to a report prepared by the Georgian government, the Georgian army acted after a large number of Russian troops and around 150 armored vehicles and trucks entered the South Ossetia territory through the Roki tunnel on the night of August 7. Allegedly the Russian military and Ossetian militia started a heavy artillery bombardment of the Georgian populated village Tamarasheni located on the outskirts of Tskhinvali at 9pm on August 7.[39] However, an OSCE monitoring group in Tskhinvali did not record outgoing artillery fire from the South Ossetian side in the hours before the start of Georgian bombardment, and NATO officials attest to minor skirmishes but nothing that amounted to a provocation, according to Der Spiegel.[40] Georgia's claim that it responded to a large-scale Russian invasion has received little support from Georgia's allies, the US and NATO.[41]
Though it was widely claimed by Georgian Authorities that the war was started by Russians, The Independent Fact-Finding Mission on the Conflict in Georgia led by Heidi Tagliavini clearly stated that it was started by Georgian shelling of South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali [42]. Erosi Kitsmarishvili, Georgia's former ambassador to Moscow and a confidant of President Mikheil Saakashvili, in his testimony to the Parliament of Georgia said that Georgian government was preparing to start the war in South Ossetia.[43]
After a prolonged artillery attack, Georgian troops with tanks and air support entered South Ossetian-controlled territory.[44][45][46] On the same day, twelve Russian peacekeepers were killed and nearly 150 injured.[47] Heavy fighting was reported in Tskhinvali for most of 8 August, with Georgian forces attempting to push Ossetians slowly from the city.[48] The following day, Russia deployed forces into South Ossetia to remove Georgian forces from South Ossetia. Additionally, Russia targeted Georgia's military infrastructure to reduce Georgia's ability to conduct another incursion. Russian troops and the South Ossetians pushed the Georgian army out of South Ossetia and moved farther, occupying Gori, Kareli, Kaspi and Igoeti in Georgia proper. Parallel to these events Russian forces also entered western Georgia from another breakaway region of Abkhazia occupying Zugdidi, Senaki and the major Georgian port of Poti.
Following an EU sponsored cease-fire between Georgia and Russia, Russia pulled its forces back to Russia and South Ossetia, finishing the withdrawal by 8 October. The war left mostly Ossetian city Tskhinvali in ruins, ethnic Georgian villages burnt and razed to the ground, leaving 24,000 Ossetians and 15,000 ethnic Georgians displaced, according to an Amnesty International report.[49][50]

Ron Paul 2012
Ok, I understand many people are upset at what seems to be the campaign sucking up to the RNC...
Ron Paul campaign statement concerning Reince Priebus and RNC Rule 11 | Peace . Gold . Liberty | Ron Paul 2012
Maybe we're not realizing what's really going on here though. I think there may be very important strategic reasons for why the campaign approved the RNC's victory fund for Mitt Romney.
Think about it. This victory fund would allow the RNC to suck up massive donations from all the big banks, the military industrial complex, all the establishment characters that usually support corrupt presidential candidates, etc...
All these institutions with huge bank accounts will be funding the RNC "ONLY" because they believe that Romney is going to be the nominee. They're only donating to Romney because they know he's crooked and that they'll get something out of the deal if he becomes president.
They "KNOW" they'll receive no benefits from President Paul. Republican Nominee Ron Paul would be left with no major funding source. Grassroots funding alone can't go up against Obama's billion dollar warchest.
So I believe what's happening is that the campaign is using Romney's inevitability as a way to amass funding for a campaign against Obama. Then if our delegate strategy pays off in the end and Ron gets the nomination, he'll be able to use these funds against Obama, funds that would have never originally been donated to him by these institutions had they known that Paul was going to be the nominee.
If all goes well, Romney will never get a chance to use this money and we won't have to rely solely on grassroots donations anymore. We'll have a huge warchest provided directly by the establishment to take down Obama.
We'll be using their own money against them. It's brilliant!
I believe as much as we don't like it, this has to be done. Competing against Obama with no significant financial backing would prove to be very difficult. Setting up this fund early on guarantees we'll have the money to succeed once we take the nomination away from Romney through the delegate strategy. I'd love to see the look on these people's faces when they realize that they really ended up donating millions of dollars to a presidential candidate that will ensure their own demise.

Christians and Conservatives–Rally Now! Ron Paul Has Out-Polled Obama and Scored Big Multi-State Wins Over Romney!
Posted on May 13, 2012
The Hope: A True Conservative Republican Candidate Who Can Defeat Barack Obama
Christians, social conservatives, economic conservatives, and others sought to find a candidate to rally behind as an alternative to Mitt Romney.
Candidates took turns rising to the top, only to eventually fall back for one reason or another. There is little in the national media to suggest that Romney has anyone still competing with him for the Republican nomination.
Yet recent events indicate that Dr. Ron Paul is still in contention to become that elusive solid conservative Republican presidential candidate–if conservatives seize the opportunity to rally around him. To do so, they must (1) become aware of the window of opportunity before them, (2) be convinced that Ron Paul is a genuine conservative who supports Christian and constitutional values (3) know that Ron Paul is the best candidate to defeat President Obama, and (4) understand that Dr. Paul still has a shot at capturing the Republican nomination.
Recent Ron Paul Victories and Advances
Before proceeding further in this article, I urge a look at this three-minute video which powerfully unfolds the reason that Ron Paul’s candidacy should now be seriously considered by all conservative Republicans. Then, because it is scriptural and wise to listen to contending points of view and to examine the teachings of even the most trusted leaders (Acts 17:11), please use the links in the text below to get a broader view of any points on which you have misgivings about Dr. Paul.
Recent Ron Paul victories in Minnesota, Iowa, Louisiana, Alaska, Colorado, Maine, and Nevada are beginning to get a bit of notice in the mainstream press. Despite questionable tactics by the party establishment in Georgia, Missouri, Alaska, Nevada, Maine, Oklahoma, and elsewhere. Rachel Maddow and FOX News have reported Ron Paul’s Iowa and Minnesota victories and essentially “inevitable” wins in a minimum of five states to put his name into nomination. Dr. Paul even had major delegate wins in Mitt Romney’s home state of Massachusetts.
For the last month or more, while the media has asked “Where is Ron Paul?” and did not report on his massive rallies, Dr. Paul has been consistently drawing thousands upon thousands to rallies at Urbana-Champaign, IL, Madison, WI, University of Maryland, Columbia, MO, Chico, CA, UCLA, Berkely, CA, Texas A&M, Fort Worth, TX, San Antonio, TX, Ithaca, NY, University of Rhode Island, University of Pittsburg, Philadelphia, PA, Houston, TX, El Paso, TX, Austin, TX. Fullerton, CA, Davis, CA, and San Diego, CA.
For accurate updates on the status of the Ron Paul campaign, which the mainstream media seldom give, a good source is Doug Wead The Blog. Mr. Wead is a Presidential historian and senior adviser to the Ron Paul campaign.
For a realistic and more accurate delegate count than the AP count nearly all the media use, see The Real 2012 Delegate Count. Reporter Ben Swann does a superb job of seeking the truth on these issues in his Reality Check program.
Who can defeat Barack Obama?
Ron Paul often polls as well or better than Mitt Romney against President Obama. A recent Rasmussen poll has Ron Paul defeating President Obama, while Romney ties. A recent Public Policy Polling survey also found Ron Paul more electable than Mitt Romney when pitted against Barack Obama. Recent polling often has Romney trailing Obama in a general election match up.
Remember that everything Ron Paul accomplishes is without media assistance. Besides his competitiveness with Obama (the media constantly says, “Ron Paul can’t win.”), did you ever hear anything in the media about Ron Paul polling second nationally to Romney, ahead of Gingrich and Santorum, as recently as February of this year? If you think the media is liberal, perhaps you should wonder why essentially only one candidate never got a media boost.
Unify to Strengthen Romney?
Some fear that continued competition for the Republican nomination will weaken Romney and hurt Republican chances to defeat Obama. Bear in mind that any criticism of Romney from conservative opponents will be insignificant compared to the barrage of advertising President Obama will unleash with his massive political war chest which will approach $1 billion. If Romney cannot stand up to scrutiny from his own party, how will he fare against a ruthless, well-funded media blitz? Look at this ad already produced by Democrats for a taste of what is coming.
What happens even if Romney wins? Will that mean 4, 8, or even 12 years of conservative compromise and a further erosion of conservative principles in the Republican party? There is some serious food for thought in The Twelve-Year Conservative Compromise. And consider the tendency of Republicans to support their president even if he waters down conservative values. Sadly, the Republican party seems to stand up for principle much better when it is opposing a Democrat than when it has a “moderate” Republican president in office.
For a solid critique of Mitt Romney from an evangelical viewpoint, Steve Baldwin’s post The Case Against Mitt Romney is substantial.
Here is one small selection:
Thanks to stupidity, naiveté and conflicts of interest on the right, we have created the Romney monster and given him the credibility he does not deserve. The chances are Romney will win the GOP nomination, but this could be disastrous since there’s a large block of Christian right and Tea Party voters who will not vote for Romney, thus increasing the chance of an Obama victory. They believe, with good reason, that a worldview-free President Romney will just swing with the wind and not make the bold decisions necessary to save America. Many also believe that a Romney Presidency will do so much damage to the Republican brand — by governing as a “lets-make-big-government-work-more-efficiently” technocrat – that it may be better if Obama won reelection with both houses hopefully controlled by Republicans willing to shut his agenda down. For one of the most complete and well-documented sites regarding Mitt Romney’s positions, go to The Mitt Romney Report by a Massachusetts pro-family group which has closely followed Mitt Romney’s record on a range of issues over the years as a Presidential candidate (2007-present), Governor of Massachusetts (Jan. 2003 – Jan. 2007), candidate for US Senate (1994), and businessman. This report includes many videos of Romney in his own words on abortion, “gay” rights, stimulus, illegal immigration, getting money from DC, identifying himself as a “progressive,” guns, and more.
Romney and Obama Similarities
Perhaps, therefore, an even more important question is “How different is Mitt Romney from Barack Obama?” Although there is some humor in this story, watch the video that follows it and ask yourself, “Do Romney and Obama have the same speech writer?” Watch here: Scientists reveal Romney and Obama are actually clones. Here is a similar compilation: Mitt Romney vs. Barack Obama First Debate Preview.
Issues of Importance to Christians
Having looked at the practical question of whether Ron Paul still has a chance to win, and whether continued campaigning for a conservative alternative to Romney is wise, we need to now look at issues of importance to Christians. If Ron Paul was the obvious alternative to Mitt Romney from the start, why did Christians not rally behind him? If they had misgivings about him before, will they be able to overcome them now that Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich have sidelined their campaigns?
Many Christians are now taking a serious look at Ron Paul. Consider this letter to fellow Christian leaders by Justin Machacek, an Emmy award winning television producer, independent faith-based filmmaker, and promotional creative. He serves as the president of Reel Deal Productions, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas and as the Senior On Air Producer for Daystar, one of the largest Christian media networks in the world.
Justin has worked closely with many of the most prominent Christian ministries and faith-based media organizations in America. Mr. Machacek recently participated in a conference call with Ron Paul and concerned Christian leaders. One Christian businessman who participated said, “There can be little doubt that if evangelicals were made aware of his views and heard first hand his explanations on abortion, gun rights, gay marriage, our monetary system, defense etc… that the move towards the RP camp would be dramatic.”
Pastor Voddie Baucham of Grace Family Baptist Church has an excellent post “Why Ron Paul?” as does Michael Eversden in “A Biblical Case for Ron Paul on Four Issues of Importance to Christians“. Both are important articles for Christians newly considering Ron Paul. The Evangelicals for Ron Paul Blog is a thoughtful site, as well.
Let’s examine some of these issues.
Abortion
Although Dr. Paul is a strongly pro-life physician who has personally delivered over 4,000 babies without performing an abortion, some had the impression that a candidate such is Rick Santorum was more staunchly pro-life than Ron Paul. Of course, Mr. Santorum himself encouraged that impression when he stated in debate that Ron Paul only had a 50% pro-life voting record–about the same as Democrat Harry Reid. Mr. Santorum did not lie, but neither did he explain that he was speaking of Dr. Paul’s 55% National Right to Life rating in 2005/2006.
During this period Dr. Paul agreed with NRTL on 5 of 6 issues. However, the one issue he disagreed on was voted on 4 times, and every time was counted as a separate vote–thus giving him a 5 of 9 record instead of 5 of 6. Dr. Paul explained in detail why he voted as he did on that one issue.
For those who want more detail on Ron Paul’s stellar pro-life position, I recommend Lori Stacey’s posts Ron Paul, Champion of the Pro-Life movement: Not pro-life enough??? and Personhood USA insults the only true champion of life, Dr. Ron Paul. To hear Dr. Paul in person, and in detail, I strongly suggest Ron Paul by Satellite at Prolife Forum Greenville SC 01/18/12. After digesting these, you may begin to wonder if millions of children could already have been saved if pro-life conservatives had followed Ron Paul’s approach when Republicans controlled the White House and Congress.
Gun Rights
This isn’t even a contest. Here’s Gun Owners of America’s evaluation of Republican presidential candidates. Santorum and Gingrich will be included in some of these comparisons, as well, to demonstrate that Dr. Paul deserved more consideration even before they dropped out: Dr. Paul A+, Santorum B-, Gingrich C, Romney D-. GOA says, “Guts. That is the one word which describes Rep. Ron Paul of Texas best.
Perhaps the most consistent vote in the Congress, he can be expected to oppose any unconstitutional expansion of government, no matter how politically difficult that vote might be.” Read the link for more details.
Our Monetary System and the Federal Reserve System
Although many people still do not see the Federal Reserve System as much of an issue, Dr. Ron Paul has fought almost alone for years to make the immorality and failure of our central banking system a fundamental political issue. To get some concept of the relationship of “millions” to “trillions” (it’s jaw-dropping!) look at this graphic depiction in $100 bills. To understand the magnitude of this issue that has been kept quiet for decades, just try to fathom that $16 trillion was secretly loaned at no interest to big banks and their cronies.
That’s about 20 times the amount of the TARP bail outs voted by Congress! Do you suppose it is truly David vs. Goliath when private bankers have the legal right to create such sums essentially out of thin air and secretly distribute them? And $5 trillion went to foreign banks. That’s more than the U.S. budget (including deficit spending!) for an entire year! No wonder Henry Ford said, “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
Steve Forbes has gone so far as to say Ron Paul should be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve System.
For more on this tremendously important issue, which only Ron Paul has the courage and knowledge to tackle, refer to The Official Counterfeiter:
As “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (1 Tim. 6:10, NIV), it would be wise to scrutinize the current monetary system of the United States, which is presently the reserve currency of the world. An event worth serious consideration, The Financial Services Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, chaired by Rep. Ron Paul, chairs a hearing to examine six legislative proposals that either reform or abolish the Federal Reserve System.
Vic Lockman, a former Disney cartoonist with economic and biblical insight, has given his permission to put his 1969 booklet The Official Counterfeiter on line. Although it is dated, I think you will find all the essential facts still very relevant to today. With evangelical voters exerting a major influence on Republican presidential politics, Mr. Lockman’s work can go a long way towards educating us about a very fundamental, but (before Ron Paul) misunderstood and unnoticed issue.
This unique work makes a major contribution to making sound, biblical economics comprehensible to a non-technical audience. It is a great tool for learning to discern what “just weights and balances” are in the modern world (Lev. 19:36; Proverbs 11:1, 16:11; Ezek. 45:10). This is a crash course in economics for everyone. We do well to understand how the world really works so we can make biblically and economically informed decisions in casting our votes for national leaders. Download the free PDF here.
Israel
Many Christians believe that God blesses those who bless Israel. Hearing the claim that Ron Paul wants to stop aid to Israel, they believe he opposes Israel. However, Ron Paul wants to halt U.S. aid to all countries, not just Israel. He believes it wrong to borrow money we do not have (largely from China) to give to other countries. He also points out that we give at least four times more aid to potentially hostile nations surrounding Israel. Cutting aid to all countries would be to Israel’s distinct advantage. Not only would cessation of all foreign aid help Israel more than its foes, but it would also allow Israel to make its own defense decisions without U.S. approval. In line with supporting Israel’s right to it’s own self-determination, Ron Paul also supports Israel’s right to designate Jerusalem as its capital.
In 1981, when Israel bombed the Iraq nuclear reactor, Ron Paul was one of the only congressmen to refuse to condemn Israel for doing so. Dr. Paul believes Israel, not the U.S.A., should determine what is best for Israel.
A well-written article on Ron Paul’s relation to Israel is Ron Paul and the Israel Question. Another very informative article is Ron Paul on Israel by the former vice president of Christian and Jews United for Israel–who is now a senior adviser to the Ron Paul campaign. For those who want some “let’s get real” talk from a Baptist pastor and former Constitution Party presidential candidate, I also recommend Chuck Baldwin’s Ron Paul’s Israel Problem.
Nuclear Iran
Connected with the Israel question is the claim that Iran is developing nuclear weapons which it would use to attack Israel and the U.S.A. However, it is doubtful that Iran ever threatened either country with nuclear destruction. U.S. intelligence continues to find no evidence that Iran is developing, or even wants to develop nuclear weapons. Even if it would turn out that Iran did possess nuclear weapons, ex-chief of Mossad Meir Dagan spoke out against a preemptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities anytime soon. He says the Iranian regime is rational in its own way.
Please understand clearly that Ron Paul is not against military defense of our country. However, he feels the greater danger now, with no solid evidence that Iran even wants a nuclear weapon, is over-reaction. A pre-emptive strike on another country is not the prerogative of the president. War should be declared by congress, not decided by the president, unless the president is forced to act in self-defense with no time for consultation. Ron Paul adheres to the Christian just war concept.
National Defense
Let’s use Iran as a stepping stone to the larger question of national defense. In one of the debates Ron Paul said our problems with Iran went back farther than 1979 (Santorum) to 1953 when our CIA helped overthrown Iran’s democratically elected leader and installed the Shah. Dr. Paul said our foreign policy often causes “blowback” when factions within other countries, rightly or wrongly, react to our interference in their internal affairs.
So who is correct on their history and foreign policy? Here are several short videos on Iran/U.S. relations: The Secret Government (CIA Overthrow of Mossadeq), History of U.S. Intervention in Iran – 1953 Until Present, and Ron Paul’s speech after the imposition of sanctions on Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia are Greater Threats than Iran, and Sanctions on Iran are Sanctions on You.
It has been sometimes mentioned, but often forgotten, that our national debt is a major national security issue. Ron Paul is the only candidate who seriously confronts the debt issue. As the Bible says, the borrower is a slave to the lender, and we are becoming increasingly dependent on other countries such as China. Other candidates talk of cutting the debt–while increasing military spending and maintaining Social Security, Medicare, and a host of federal agencies and programs.
The fact that maintaining both at current levels is unsustainable is confirmed by conservative Republican Senator Jim DeMint. Realistically, if Ron Paul is not correct about the fact that we can actually strengthen our defense by reducing morally questionable, budget-busting, counterproductive meddling in the internal affairs of foreign nations, then our national defense is destined for a severe blown when our economy eventually collapses due to deficit spending.
Fortunately, as Douglas A. Macgregor, Ph.D. Colonel (ret), U.S. Army, says, more money does not necessarily mean better defense. Romney’s willingness to spend far more than our national deficit on just military alone does not bode well for anyone wanting to save this country from imminent bankruptcy.
Perhaps it is sometimes forgotten that U.S. foreign policy may have an indirect but very substantial effect on Christian communities and missions overseas. A thought-provoking article on this influence is “Christian Massacres: A Result of U.S. Foreign Policy“.
Iraq and Afghanistan
It is frequently said, “I like Ron Paul except for his views on defense.” Some are under the impression that Dr. Paul “blames American” for 9-11. Actually, Ron Paul blames the terrorists who perpetrated the attacks, and he voted to pursue Bin Laden and submitted a bill to go after terrorists themselves, rather than invading countries. He believes that to properly deal with a problem you must understand its causes. Although the 9-11 attacks on innocent Americans were reprehensible and unjust, we should still examine the motives of those perpetrating the crime if we want to understand and combat them.
Just as most Americans were unaware of the CIA overthrow of Iran’s elected government in 1953, most were unaware of any U.S. actions that could provoke the terrorists to strike against us. U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said in a 60 minutes interview that the death of 500,000 Iraqi children due to U.S. economic sanctions was worth it.
Seventeen of the nineteen terrorists were from Saudi Arabia and none from Iraq, but we invaded Iraq. Regime change in Iraq was a U.S. policy before 9-11. Ron Paul first began speaking against it in 1998. Former CIA Head of the Bin Laden Unit Michael Scheuer said that Ron Paul’s correct position on the reason’s for 9-11 would have worried Bin Laden and his allies, but they thrived under the view held by all other candidates.
It is often said that good theories can be tested by their ability to predict. Everyone must watch Ron Paul’s famous Predictions speech from April 24, 2002, to understand his wisdom. In this five-minute speech you will see a decade of history predicted with amazing precision! Then, if you want to hear Ron Paul speaking candidly about foreign policy, go to this national defense page.
Col. Macgregor recently granted a detailed interview on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars which is comprehensive and enlightening.
Here is a small excerpt:
Iraq and Afghanistan are disasters and anyone who asserts otherwise is misinformed. I recently met with someone who is an advocate for Mitt Romney and he was unhappy with me because I pointed out that the differences between Governor Romney and President Obama are marginal at best. He was trying to demonstrate how profoundly different they were. He was unsuccessful but one of the things he insisted on was that Obama had somehow or another sacrificed our great gains in Iraq.Who do the troops vote for with their campaign contributions–Ron Paul or Mitt Romney?
I looked at him and said, “You can’t be serious.” He said, “What do you mean?” He seemed to be completely unaware, as many Americans are, that Iraq is effectively a satellite for Iran. That the United States Army and it’s generals did a brilliant job of consolidating the power and influence of Iran inside Iraq, by backing Mr. Maliki who is always Tehran’s chosen candidate and utterly destroying the Sunni Arab population’s influence and power.
National Defense Authorization Act
The NDAA authorizes indefinite imprisonment, without charges, and without the right to a lawyer solely on the secret determination that a U.S. citizen is suspected of a terrorist threat or has had some indefinite connection to a terrorist. This essentially removes Bill of Rights protections from every U.S. citizen. There’s not much more to say, but read it again until it sinks in! For more details, read this Forbes article. Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul all answered a question about NDAA in a debate.
War on Drugs
Voters often do not realize that Ron Paul acknowledges the right of states and localities to pass laws regulating the use and possession of drugs. Ron Paul conscientiously adheres to his oath to defend the Constitution.
To enact federal prohibition of alcohol required an amendment to the Constitution. His position is that the federal War on Drugs is unconstitutional, and, in fact, is a failure that exacerbates the problem–just as prohibition did with alcohol. Drug prohibition increases the price of drugs on the black market, creating the climate conducive for the formation of drug lords, cartels, and the resulting increasing violence. The U.S. has the largest prison population in the world both in number and percentage, and the drug war is a major cause.
Dr. Paul points that imprisonment of minorities for drug offenses has affected minorities greatly disproportional to their percentage of conviction of drug crimes. Many countries, groups, and noted individuals agree with Dr. Paul on the failure of the War on Drugs, including Britain, Latin American, the Global Commission on Drug Policy, law enforcement groups, Pat Robertson, Judge Jim Gray, Nobel Prize economist Milton Friedman, and 500 U.S. economists. I strongly recommend Milton Friedman’s short video interview for those particularly interested in the moral questions involved. The experience of countries who have tried drug decriminalization demonstrates the soundness of this approach.
Marijuana itself may not even be the main factor in its criminalization. There are far bigger economics and politics involved than the smoking of marijuana.
One major factor may be the competition hemp poses to the oil industry.
Ron Paul points out that the federal government is overriding state laws that allow medical use of marijuana. The different views of Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are contrasted in a short video of their responses to a medical marijuana user whose five doctors affirm it is his only relief.
Health and Nutrition Freedoms
What many conservatives seem to overlook is that federal laws and regulations among the biggest threats to our most cherished freedoms.
Again, bear in mind that saying federal (national) legislation in a given area is unconstitutional does not mean that states and localities cannot legislate on these matters. It is their proper and intended jurisdiction. Thus, while it may sound conservative and moral to fight drugs at the federal level, this opens the door to other federal legislation that can remove our most fundamental liberties.
As Milton Friedman said above, if the federal government can criminalize marijuana because it is deemed bad for one’s health, why not raw milk (Amish farmers have been arrested at gunpoint for selling it), free speech in nutritional information, nutritional products, not eating a federally prescribed diet (yes, a girl was not allowed to eat her sack lunch because it did not meet federal diet “guidelines”), selling raw almonds, etc.
Besides what the federal government can prohibit, there are also concerns over what it can fund or mandate–psychiatric screenings of children, for example. Granted, there may be some arguments for and against many of these issues. But federalizing issues leaves no room for error. If a state makes a mistake, other states are not forced into the same mold, but federal laws affect the whole country and stifle the creativity inherent in multiple individual state approaches. There is a growing protest of state and federal regulations that restrict what appear to many as basic rights in the area of food and nutrition.
Also, however well-intended, centralized government agencies will naturally be targets of special interests who can buy influence to favor their products or protect themselves from competition by placing sympathetic personnel in government regulatory agencies. Ron Paul talks of this when he says the FDA and drug companies are in bed together. The award-winning Burzynski movie is a real eye-opener for anyone places total confidence in the capability of the federal FDA to protect and promote our best health interests. One can look at a site like Natural News for a critical look at many federal health initiatives, if only to be aware that there is often a credible alternative viewpoint that may receive scant positive news coverage.
Local Control of Education
Education is an area that receives far less attention than it deserves from Christians and conservatives. There has been a recent movement in the nation’s largest protestant denomination, The Southern Baptist Convention, to consider alternatives to public schooling. “Dr. Morris H. Chapman, president and chief executive officer of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee, criticizes the public school system for increasing secularism and moral erosion….” saying, “All Christians should note this sea-change in sentiment within the SBC.
The spiritual, moral, and intellectual pathologies of the government school system are now obvious even to casual observers. Christian parents and pastors need to ask themselves just how much longer they intend to render our children to Caesar’s spiritually dark, morally decaying, and physically dangerous government schools.”
Whether spiritually, morally, politically, culturally, safety, or educationally speaking, it would seem parental and local control over what our children are being taught is of prime importance. While Mitt Romney may talk of block grants and reforming the Department of Education, Ron Paul advocates its essential abolition. Ron Paul is a strong advocate of freedom of education under parental control, including the option to home school. Dr. Paul sees no Constitutional authority for a federal role in education.
Prayer in schools, creation vs. evolution, abortion, sex education, history, politics, math and reading strategies, religion, sexual orientation, marriage, and other issues that can provoke strong differences of opinion are best decided at a local level and ultimately left in the hands of parents who have the right to chose the school their children attend–or teach them at home.
Dr. Paul says such issues cannot be discussed on their merits in an educational environment where each side attempts to use the force of law and imposed curriculum to impose its views on all. Dr. Paul would be a strong advocate for Christians rights of free speech and association.
Religious Freedom
Of course without the educational freedom and parental control Dr. Paul so strongly advocates, religious freedom is actually a fading entity. If a government school’s “neutral” education denies any speech about God or Christian values to be spoken, children will by default receive a secular education. Likewise, churches under federal tax rules are steered away from any political speech or any moral pronouncements that could be considered discriminatory to individuals practicing acts that Christians may deem sinful.
Ron Paul believes that the Constitution grants the federal government no authority to impose morality upon the nation as a whole. This type of legislation is reserved to the states and localities. Ron Paul would defend Christians from federal imposition upon their right of free speech and association. Christians and churches could promote their biblical morality and freely choose to associate or not associate in their churches.
Christians would not be accused of hate speech or discrimination for preaching biblical teachings. They would not be forced by federal intrusion to hire or retain personnel deemed immoral by their standards. They would be free to proclaim and practice their teachings and win converts through persuasion. Rather than engaging in the legislative battle to impose moral values through federal legislation (the states do have authority to take up such matters), Ron Paul would strive instead to preserve the freedoms of speech and association for everyone–and also prohibit the federal government from imposing one state’s standards upon another state.
Marriage and Gay Rights
Ron Paul’s position on the issue of marriage (he has been married to his wife, Carol, for 55 years) is consistent with his Constitutional approach.
He says, in opposing a constitutional marriage amendment, and endorsing The Defense of Marriage Act,
Ironically, liberal social engineers who wish to use federal government power to redefine marriage will be able to point to the constitutional marriage amendment as proof that the definition of marriage is indeed a federal matter! I am unwilling either to cede to federal courts the authority to redefine marriage, or to deny a state’s ability to preserve the traditional definition of marriage. Instead, I believe it is time for Congress and state legislatures to reassert their authority by refusing to enforce judicial usurpations of power.I suggest Christians and conservatives look more closely at Dr. Paul’s Constitutional reasoning, rather than making quick judgments that he’s against marriage. His positions are decidedly constitutional, and would most often have yielded superior short-term and long-term practical results. His position on gay rights is reasoned similarly.
Economic Policy
Ron Paul proposes to cut $1 trillion dollars his first year, and balance the budget by his third year. He will essentially abolish five federal agencies, eliminating them by attrition and transfer rather than abrupt cuts. All others want to balance the budget sometime beyond the end of their term (usually many years beyond). Dr. Paul says the only budget we can really control is this year’s–refreshing candor and truth. No more kicking the can down the road. It is called his Plan to Restore America.
Many conservatives, for example Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and Sean Hannity, endorse Ron Paul’s economic plan and recognize his economic expertise and solid track record in this area. There really is no peer to Dr. Paul in knowledge and consistency in economic matters among any of the candidates who have run in this year’s race.
Dr. Paul has been praised by David Stockman (Ronald Reagan’s former Director of the Office of Management and Budget), the independent Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Nassim Taleb (“Black Swan” author), Dr. Iris Mack (celebrated Harvard alum), The Club for Growth, and many others.
How about a 0% Income Tax? Wall Street Journal editorial board director Stephen Moore explains why Rep. Ron Paul’s ideas on economics are correct and must be accepted in the mainstream GOP platform. Mr. Moore says, “…you would see the most insourcing of jobs into America in the history of the world.”
Although Rick Santorum made some comments based on creative interpretations of data in a debate, the independent and respected National Taxpayers Union (NTU) issued a press release to clarify its presidential candidate ratings. For Mitt Romney’s evaluation compare the NTU evaluation of candidate budget proposals. Between Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul, NTU said Ron Paul’s proposal dwarfed others’ proposals in deficit reduction.
Social Security and Medicare
Related to the deficit situation is the funding of Social Security and Medicare. Christians and conservatives generally find it morally unjustified to pass on immense debt to their children and grandchildren.
However, senior citizens are rightly concerned about whether the funds they have been contributing to throughout their lives will remain sound into their retirement years. Ron Paul’s cuts in overseas spending offer the only plan to cut our deficit and balance the budget while not cutting Social Security and Medicare for those who will be dependent on it.
Other candidates plans to maintain Social Security and Medicare, increase military spending, and balance the budget do not compute. Note well that those seniors on fixed retirement incomes and dependent on savings are hurt tremendously by the inflationary Federal Reserve policies that cause the value of the dollar to fall and, therefore, the prices of goods to rise.
For more on this, including some interesting and relevant light on Newt Gingrich’s claims to have helped balance the budget four times, see Dr. Ron Paul: Champion of the Senior Citizen!
Talking Points
For those who have not looked seriously at Ron Paul previously, here is a recent comparison of Ron Paul with Mitt Romney, a comparison of Ron Paul with Barack Obama, and some bullet points highlighting his consistent record over twelve terms in the U.S. House of Representatives:
- He has never taken a government junket
- He does not participate in the lucrative Congressional Pension Program
- He returns a portion of his annual Congressional Office Budget every year
- He has never voted to raise taxes
- He has never voted for an unbalanced budget
- He voted no to the bankster bailout
- He always voted no on raising the debt ceiling
- He warned us against The “Super Congress” legislation that resembles both an “Enabling Act” and a “Politburo”
- He has never voted to restrict gun ownership
- He has never voted to raise Congressional Pay
- President Paul will take a yearly salary of $39,336, the average US worker’s salary, instead of the President’s $400,000 salary
- He will cut One Trillion Dollars from the budget in the first year and balance the budget in three years
- He will Return Power to the States as set down in the 9th and 10th Amendments (Bill of Rights) to the Constitution
- He never voted to increase Executive Branch Power
- He will Reinstate The Constitution and Save The Republic
- He will audit and eventually end the unconstitutional Federal Reserve System
- He will phase out the unconstitutional IRS beginning immediately
- He will secure the borders
- He will limit Big Government in your private affairs
- He will stop Illegal immigration and birthright citizenship, grant no amnesty, and defend our borders
- He will protect internet freedom and our Bill of Rights

Hey all,
The military is treating Chicago like a war zone, and its citizens like they are living in Baghdad. Check points, helicopters in the sky, black suited agents on the streets, citizens being asked to leave their homes? These are the definitions of a police state, of fascism taking grip of America, and politicians only looking out for themselves.
Let me quote Adolf Hitler to show you the subversive nature of our politicians in power.
"Instead of working to achieve power by an armed coup we shall have to hold our noses and enter the Reichstag against the Catholic and Marxist deputies. If outvoting them takes longer than outshooting them, at least the results will be guaranteed by their own Constitution! Any lawful process is slow. But sooner or later we shall have a majority – and after that Germany," Hitler stated while in prison.

I could go on longer, but I have made my point. We are not waiting for martial law. It is already here. We have been asleep, and we need to wake up to the prison walls that are finally here.

I'll say it again and again.. If Romney will cheat at this level.. what do you think he will do once he gets into the White House
I want to explain what is going on
You are being left behind; more importantly, we are leaving you behind
You have excepted this insane life and what is going on; we do not...
we cant convince you to come out of the trance... so you are being left behind to deal with the wolves that are waiting for you
there are too many people that will vote for Ringer candidates that are only put into place to get Obama an automatic win .. Just like John McCain... anytime he would start to over take Obama in any poll... he would do something weird or say something crazy that pummeled him in the next poll ... INTENTIONALLY
There is a fake Left-Right Paradigm going on to give you the Illusion that you pick the winner ... you do not; they are preselected by the elite ... Both Partys are the same with minor differances in them
the major differance is how they are going to rob you blind and where they will spend the money.. either way, you are broke
Even if Candidate A's record Looks like Candidate B's Record .. you hear the same crazy people saying they will have to vote for the lesser of two evils...
NO
this is NOT exceptable as a matter of fact... thats a Bizzare statement all in itself and we reject it
I dont know what to tell you at this point; other than you are being left behind
Your in a badly splintered party that Republicans themselves created
We got Obama Because of BUSH
We Reject Both
with us gone you will be the new Minority party
the ONLY way we are staying is if Ron Paul is the Candidate to go against Obama
If you choose Romney; you select another RINO; we are trying to fire them and you are trying to hire them. Even so, I do believe it will be a good thing as you refuse to fix these issues and we want fixes done now and you refuse to address them
We will pick up a majority on the Independant Votes as well pull in the Blue Dog Democrat's
I am all but embarressed to say I am a Republican, when all I hear them talk about is there is another country to invade; while our kids, NOT your kids come home in body bags and limbs blown off ... no, we will not let that happen so you have real interesting news to watch at 7 and 11 to get your patriotic kick and to beat it all you want everyone to pay for this madness
we will not; you need to empty your pockets to pay for the fake war on terror that doesnt exist
again; we will not

LDS (Mormons) for Ron Paul
Submitted by paceme on Mon, 05/14/2012 - 00:19
I'm writing this because it is timely. I have read some of the articles focused on LDS positions, where the OPs have been pro-LDS (in support of Ron Paul) and some anti-LDS (in critique of Romney). I want to educate the DP community and give some more confidence to my LDS friends as we move through the process in many LDS-heavy states. We were cheated out of honest elections at my Arizona State Convention Saturday, aggravated by Romney-supporting members of our church. We don't condemn them. Let's educate them.
I hope I can list a few Ron Paul platform pieces that coincide with and are celebrated by LDS doctrine that members of our church should be boldly trumpeting and those outside our church should congratulate us for having. Let me get something out of the way: I do not want this to be an open forum on obscure or controversial beliefs that we hold, past or present, so please keep the comments positive, but please comment. Rather, I'm trying for common ground, because that's how we're going to increase the coalition of support for Ron Paul, especially among the majority of Mormons in Arizona, Utah, California, Idaho, Nevada, and thousands more nationwide. And I believe there's more than just the Constitution that bring RP and Mormons together.
Preface: Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints follow the direction of their leaders, just as members of any organization do. For many of us, our beliefs happen to be very deep and comprehensive and they guide our actions in almost every aspect of our lives. Allegiance to God through our Prophets and Apostles doesn't diminish our allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America.
On the contrary, it magnifies it. US LDS members are largely grateful to be living in this great Republic. Our desire to worship as we please and respect the rights of others is the major reason for this. As for myself, in addition to my passion and activism for these principles, I support Ron Paul because I believe it would be a sin not to. In that sense, my faith will never get in the way of protecting my sovereignty.
Now the issues:
The U.S. Constitution:
"According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;... And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood."
- God (Jesus Christ), Doctrine and Covenants 101:77-80*
"Have mercy, O Lord, upon all the nations of the earth; have mercy upon the rulers of our land; may those principles, which were so honorably and nobly defended, namely, the Constitution of our land, by our fathers, be established forever."
- Joseph Smith, President, Doctrine and Covenants 109:54*
Drug War:
"And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man—Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving."
- God (Jesus Christ), Doctrine and Covenants 89:10-11*
"Drugs such as LSD, marijuana, heroin, and cocaine are also endangering people throughout the earth…The solution to this problem… is neither governmental nor institutional. Nor is it a question of legality [rules of law]. It is a matter of individual choice and commitment. …"
- Russell Nelson, Apostle, Special Witness: Addiction or Freedom - Friend May 2002 - friend
Pre-emptive war:
"...this is the law that I gave... that they should not go out unto battle against any nation... save I, the Lord, commanded them. And if any nation... should proclaim war against them, they should first lift a standard of peace... And if that people did not accept the offering of peace... Then I, the Lord, would... justify them in going out to battle against that nation... And I, the Lord, would fight their battles"
- God (Jesus Christ), Doctrine and Covenants 98:33-38*
"And it was because the armies of the Nephites went up unto the Lamanites that they began to be smitten; for were it not for that, the Lamanites could have had no power over them. But, behold, the judgments of God will overtake the wicked; and it is by the wicked that the wicked are punished; for it is the wicked that stir up the hearts of the children of men unto bloodshed."
- Mormon, Prophet, Mormon 4:4-5*
Free trade and precious metals:
"And behold, there was peace in all the land, insomuch that the Nephites did go into whatsoever part of the land they would, whether among the Nephites or the Lamanites. And it came to pass that the Lamanites did also go whithersoever they would, whether it were among the Lamanites or among the Nephites; and thus they did have free intercourse one with another, to buy and to sell, and to get gain, according to their desire. And it came to pass that they became exceedingly rich, both the Lamanites and the Nephites; and they did have an exceeding plenty of gold, and of silver, and of all manner of precious metals"
- Mormon, Prophet, Helaman 6:7-9*
That's all I have for now. Hopefully more later. If you bring one up with sources, I'll add it to the post to your credit. Thank you for reading!

For all you people who are venting your frustrations with Doug or Jesse. This is neither the time nor the place. I know free speech yadda yadda yadda... But there are two things you must remember.
A: "We" are winning!
Otherwise explain the blanant attempts of thuggery and cheating being done on behalf of the Romney campaign.
B: Dr. Paul is the people's President. We have chosen him and we are winning these fights. We are far better prepared than any Romney hacks they throw at us.
If you are frustrated then you are not prepared. Learn parliamentarian procedure, start a legal fund bomb, hire professionals.
We are the one's pushing Dr Paul to victory and that won't stop. You think AZ was a mess wait until Tampa. It's going to get dirty.
Please be careful how and what you say to these campaign managers they know what they are doing and something is happening on the back end. Don't let our frustrations make the news, it isn't worth it.
Thank you all for fighting to save our republic. We are winning and it is because of us. Not the messengers.
Peace be with you all.

A team of Chinese physicists have shattered the record for quantum teleportation, teleporting photons approximately six times further than the previous best, according to various news reports published Friday.
A team of physicists hailing from the University of Science and Technology of China in Shanghai were able to teleport particles more than 97 kilometers, or over 60 miles, said Popular Science‘s Dan Nosowitz.
That smashes the prior standard of more than 10 miles (16-plus kilometers), which had been set by the same team back in 2010, Forbes Staff Writer Alex Knapp added.

GOP Establishment makes a mockery of the democratic process in Oklahoma
Kevin Kervick
Manchester Independent Examiner
Video: Rump convention succeeds in Oklahoma after process breaks down
The GOP in Oklahoma has some explaining to do.
As of this writing, the GOP convention in Oklahoma is being continued in the parking lot because the temporary chair ended the convention illegitimately before a roll call for delegate selection could take place. Party rules state that a convention can be ended if two thirds of the attendees approve dissolution.
Apparently that did not happen, but the temporary chair adjourned anyway before scheduled business was completed. Consequently, a group of disenfranchised attendees decided to continue the proceedings outside (video) in what is known as a Rump convention (see below).
Author's Note: The Chairman Elect that is seen in the embedded video used the term, Rump Convention to describe the process that continued in the parking lot. Other observers believe that term is incorrect. According to their view, this was merely a continuation of the convention in a different location.
Instead of conducting a roll call vote, which is required by Party rules, the chair asked for a voice vote for a predetermined delegate slate that was favorable to Mitt Romney, despite objections from the floor.
The reason provided for this decision according to the chair, apparently oblivious to influence from the audience, was that ‘It was the way they always did it’. This appears to be a clear case of Establishment GOP corruption because the insiders wanted to select a slate of delegates that was not supported by the majority of attendees at the convention.
This turn of events came at the end of a long afternoon during which there was a lot of animosity in the air. This video contains a conversation with a Ron Paul supporter who witnessed some violence perpetrated against a fellow Ron Paul supporter by a person who was identified as an older 'Establishment guy'. According to this report, the older gentleman hit the Ron Paul supporter in the back of the head. The Sergeant at Arms intervened to remove the Ron Paul supporter but apparently did nothing to the man that hit him.
Later, an observer at the scene said that after the convention prematurely ended, the lights were immediately turned off and the walls to the convention center started to close in on the attendees. One person in attendance told me he believes the portable walls were rearranged in a manner that made it possible to exclude voters from affected districts from the ongoing process. Roberts’ Rules of order, which are supposed to govern the convention, were flatly ignored as the GOP pushed its autocratic agenda.
Contrary to popular belief, nominees for the Republican Party are not selected when the state holds its local caucuses. That vote is nothing more than a beauty contest designed to gauge the popular support for candidates. The delegates that select the eventual nominee are selected at state conventions. In this way, the candidate that has the best grass roots support and the most invested supporters often sees improved chances when the state conventions convene.
This is the way the Founders envisioned the process working because they wanted the citizens that were most invested in the outcome to have the greatest influence. They feared the tyranny of the majority, which is a flawed pure democracy system in which a special interest could galvanize a majority of voters to select a poor candidate who might be supportive of a particular popular agenda or be a favorite of a big money interest that can buy a lot of votes. This is precisely what GOP operatives seem to have attempted to orchestrate in Oklahoma in an attempt to force Mitt Romney on a group of delegates that wanted to vote for Ron Paul.
In Oklahoma, the party leaders made a complete mockery of the democratic process. According to many witnesses on the scene in Oklahoma, and with verifiable evidence from a live video feed from the event, the following violations to Roberts’ Rules of Order occurred.
· Delegate credentials were never verified.
· A convention chair was never appointed, which is required by Party rules.
· Many motions on the floor and calls for division were ignored by the existing chair.
· The temporary chair adjourned the convention even though the vote to adjourn was rejected by an estimated two thirds of the attendees.
When the meeting was adjourned after the corruption that had ensued previously, a group of stalwarts decided to take matters into their own hands and take over the process. They gathered people inside the hall and summoned them to meet in the parking lot. This is entirely consistent with the rules of order, which allow for participant action when the presumed leaders act with impunity to operate outside of the rules.
Consequently, the real Oklahoma Republican Party convention occurred after many of the participants had already left. The parking lot convention elected a convention chair who conducted the proceedings with confidence and dignity. After several hours of procedural meandering and roll call votes, the real slate of delegates was selected.
As the parking lot convention waned, participants started cheering and chanting ‘Ron Paul Ron Paul’ and ‘We cannot be bought’, which was an obvious reference to the Romney campaign which has been repeatedly accused of paying people to endorse the Governor and to serve as his delegates. All of this was captured live by a feed that sent the proceedings around the world on the internet.
Preliminary estimates are that Congressman Paul captured 95% of the Oklahoma delegates. This was an amazing feat and a political coup of epic proportions.
The Ron Paul Revolution continues.

Young Keynesians
May 14, 2012 by Sam Rolley
http://personallibertycom.files.word...0511_image.jpg PHOTOS.COMKeynesians are working to make younger audiences favor their ideas.
Part of Ron Paul’s mission has been to simplify economic ideas into terms average Americans can understand in order to point out the crimes of Keynesian policies and the Federal Reserve. In doing this he has turned an army of young people on to the sound principles of Austrian economic theory, but the other side is fighting back.
It is no surprise with the number of left-leaning educators in universities throughout the United States that those who prefer Keynesian (or spend-your-way-out-of-debt) economic theory dominate the market on indoctrination. And as it becomes increasingly clear that this mainstream economic policy is deeply flawed and unsustainable, the Keynesians are working to make younger audiences favor their ideas.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York touts an “education” initiative called the High School Fed Challenge that it claims is an effort to “bring real-world economics” to high school classrooms. In a series of competitions hosted by Fed board members, students compete in analyzing economic current events to determine which are most able to sound like Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke in delivering suggestions for a course of monetary action.
NPR reported on the most recent installment of the competition which was won by students from Montclair High School in Montclair, N.J.: “The students are clearly very good at parroting Ben Bernanke. But they also seem to have a solid grasp of what the economy means for their own lives…Obviously, putting the words ‘Fed Challenge’ on a college application looks impressive. But there’s also a sense that understanding all this stuff really matters right now. In the finals, the students answer questions about things the people who run the Fed are debating right now — from quantitative easing to the outlook for inflation.”
While only a small number of students participate in the Fed Challenge, the initiative represents what many people might recognize as a broader problem in the state of modern economic thinking: Many leading economists simply have not been largely exposed to Austrian economics. The efforts of people like Paul and Economic Policy Journal publisher Robert Wenzel, however, are slowly bringing the conservative economic idea into the conversation.
Wenzel writes of a speech he was recently invited to give at the Federal Reserve in New York:
I then asked one economist ( a 20 year plus veteran of the Fed) if he was familiar with Austrian economics. He said that in college he had taken two history of economics courses and then said that the Austrian school is part of the classical tradition. This told me that he was not aware of the important differences between the Austrian school and classical economics (and also the neo-classical tradition).Maybe if the trend continues, it will become normal at some point in the future to read an economic editorial in The New York Times that touts the value of Austrian ideals rather than the Keynesian nonsense regularly disseminated by the likes of Paul Krugman.
…Overall, I was simply amazed at the lack of knowledge of these economists about the Austrian school. It was very close to non-existent. This points out the extremely important work being done by the Mises Institute and also Ron Paul. The number of students with an understanding of Austrian economics is increasing at an exponential rate. I can’t imagine that future economists, even those who work for the Fed, won’t have some acquaintance with Austrian economics thanks to MI and Ron Paul.

The Lies You’re Told
May 14, 2012 by Bob Livingston
http://personallibertycom.files.word...0511_image.jpg Very intelligent people buy into lies and myths the same as the general population.
The elites are masters of propaganda. They have at their beck and call an army of “journalists” who never stray from the official state line for fear of being ostracized. They eagerly and happily spread lies and half-truths in order to gain and then keep their seats near the halls of power. Those who stray from the party line (Helen Thomas) are harshly dealt with.
They have learned that the more lies they tell, the more lies we believe. And the more lies we believe, the more dependent we become. Conversely, the fewer myths, lies and deceptions we succumb to, the less dependent — and, therefore, the freer — we are.
Propaganda is the science of persuasion and mind control. Its purpose is to forge allegiance to a political order or to ensure acceptance — and, therefore, consumption — of a particular product whether it is needed or beneficial. Propaganda victimizes the public by changing and controlling its belief system to the benefit of the political establishment or for the monetary gain of corporate interests and the medical establishment.
I have learned the power of propaganda. I have watched as otherwise intelligent and thoughtful people have had their minds manipulated so that they acted against their own best interests as a result of propaganda. It seems that organized and sophisticated propaganda is able to operate above the threshold of intelligence. In other words, without some imperative to trigger inquiry, very intelligent people buy into lies and myths the same as the general population. The lies and myths then become conventional wisdom. The human mind rarely accepts a challenge to conventional wisdom.
When confronted with a challenge to the established belief system, the mind closes off. When this happens, the individual employs avoidance behavior, writes off the new knowledge as conspiracy theory and labels it as kooky, insane or stupid. The information is then dismissed, never to be considered again, even when the facts support the new knowledge.
The esoteric purpose of propaganda is to extract wealth and labor illegally as concealed involuntary servitude. The people who use propaganda to persuade the populace against their best interests create myths and sell them as benefits.
Here, I break down some of the lies.
Lie: The War on Terror. The so-called War on Terror is actually a war on the American people. If al-Qaida is our enemy, as we’re told, why did we provide it aid and cover in Libya and why are we providing it aid in Syria? If its mastermind Osama bin Laden — who was never charged in connection to 9/11 — is dead, why are we constantly hearing new rumors of supposed terror plots? The FBI is supposedly keeping us safe from terrorists, yet it is setting up patsies, planning and giving them the means to carry out terror attacks so that it can swoop in and save the day. All of the recently uncovered “terrorist plots” in America are FBI creations. The original underwear bomber was under CIA surveillance and assisted onto the plane by a CIA asset. The latest underwear bomber was a CIA double agent. The so-called War on Terror was fabricated to benefit the military-industrial complex and the vast security apparatus that was bound to develop following the 9/11 attacks and the passage of the liberty-stealing USA Patriot Act. We still do not know the whole story behind the 9/11 attacks. Even the 9/11 Commission admits this and blames stonewalling, lying and cover-up by people in government.
Lie: The West is in peril from Islamofascism: Like the War on Terror and so-called attempted terrorist attacks in the United States, the threat of Islamofascism is a creation of the shadowy intelligence networks of the United States, Great Britain and Israel, which have provided funding and training for terror networks. This is outgrowth of government’s propensity to create a problem so that the populace will clamor for relief. Government can then demand and receive additional funding and establish additional control in order to address the problem it created.
Lie: President Barack Obama killed Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden is a bogeyman who gets pulled out of a drawer whenever the political winds blow the wrong direction. George W. Bush did this first, and then Obama. Bin Laden was long dead and his flesh rotted away when Obama sent Seal Team 6 into Pakistan. He is but one in a line of terrorists who are killed and revived when needed.
Lie: Iran is a direct threat to the United States and Israel: Officials in government and at the U.N. have repeatedly admitted that Iran is not developing a nuclear weapon. Iran is a signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, and inspectors from the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency are permanently stationed in Iran to monitor its nuclear program. Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad never called for Israel to be wiped off the map. Israel has nuclear weapons and would respond with overwhelming force if Iran tried to attack. Iran does not possess a missile capable of reaching the United States. Yet the drumbeat goes on from the neocon stooges like Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman as well as from the talking heads on TV (see the first paragraph for explanation).
Lie: America is a democracy. Constitutional republican government passed away with the election of the tyrant Abraham Lincoln. Stealth, gradualism and propaganda caused the populace to accept that America is a democracy. Democracy is a euphemism for fascism. American democracy has the trappings of representative government but is fascism in reality. Call it benevolent totalitarianism. Banksters and corporate interests control the President and Congress and, therefore, control the workings of government.
Lie: The Federal Reserve controls inflation. The Federal Reserve is the world engine of inflation. Since the Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913, the purchasing power of the dollar has almost been destroyed. During the 100 years prior to the Federal Reserve, there was gold-backed currency that kept its purchasing power. The people would not have accepted a central bank, but the elites used propaganda to convince the populace the Federal Reserve was not a central bank and that the banksters opposed it. It was the first great lie of the 20th century.
Lie: The economy is improving. Despite what the Obamaphile mainstream media report, there is no measure by which the economy is showing a rebound. While the “official” unemployment rate dropped from 8.2 percent to 8.1 percent, real unemployment climbed from 22.2 percent to 22.3 percent. More than 46 million people remain on food stamps. Housing prices continue to drop. Inflation is much greater than reported. Food stamps and social welfare programs are the only things holding off revolution like the Arab Spring in Tunisia and Bahrain. (Most other supposed Arab Spring uprisings were instigated by agent provocateurs in order to depose puppet leaders who had outlived their usefulness or depose leaders who would not be U.S. puppets.)
Lie: Your Congressman is working on your behalf. The elites in Congress and the bureaucrats who do their work are employees of the government and their loyalty is to the government and their bankster and corporatist masters.
Lie: There is a difference between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. The two parties exist to provide a false paradigm to keep Americans divided. Their goal is to accumulate power and maintain a majority so their selected benefactors can be adequately rewarded from the Federal treasury.
Lie: The American healthcare system is the best in the world. Healthcare in America exists as a drug cartel to further enrich the already super-rich pharmaceutical companies. It is a tremendous burden on the backs of the people. Medical practitioners are, for the most part, completely brainwashed. Healthcare would be more accurately termed symptomology as what passes for healthcare is the treatment of symptoms, not disease. Organized medicine is now the third-leading cause of death. American healthcare is a Malthusian dream to reduce the population under the pretense of doctoring for sickness and disease.
Lie: American obesity means people eat too much and exercise too little. Americans eat too much processed and acidic foods and consume too much high fructose corn syrup. Americans suffer from full-belly starvation. The American diet is high in calories and very low in nutrition. This is a diet that builds an obese and sick population and leads to early death. The American diet is acidic, and acidification of the body brings death. A vegetarian diet is alkaline and it is the diet for health and longevity. Disease thrives on acidity. Death is full-body acid saturation. Unfortunately, eating a healthy vegetarian diet is becoming difficult thanks to machinations of Monsanto, Bayer and others who are creating genetically modified organisms and calling it food and saturating the ground with harmful pesticides and defoliants like Agent Orange, actions I term government-sponsored agricultural terrorism. And unless you are incredibly discerning in your selection of meats, you are consuming antibiotics and steroids that are creating havoc in your body.
Lie: Euthanasia is a quick and painless death. Euthanasia can happen over many years as drugs, and “immunizations” often kill slowly. The system can reduce the population without blame if it’s done over time so as to separate cause and effect. People don’t need drugs or doctors. Sick people, especially, don’t need drugs or doctors. They need nutrition.
Lie: Income taxes fund the government. The income tax system is a cover operation for the regulation of the regime of paper money. It facilitates efforts to maintain dossiers on citizens and transfer wealth. Ask yourself this: If the government can and does create (print) all the money it needs, why does it need taxes?
Lie: Savings and retirement. The money creators cause inflation to melt your savings and retirement while you sleep. CDs and bank accounts do not preserve you savings, especially in recent years with the Fed’s artificially low interest rates. The dollar is inflation. It is set to self-destruct. This is theft by deception. The true meaning of currency destruction with inflation is war upon the people. Then there are individual retirement accounts and 401(k)s. Congress set up the tax code to encourage investment in these scams in order to prop up the stock market and give the illusion of a robust economy. It created penalties that discouraged you from accessing your money, giving little choice but to watch as your nest egg lost more than half its value in the 2008 crash. Rather than help the now-destitute people, Congress rewarded the banksters who created the problem. Now there are discussions under way for the government to confiscate the billions of dollars in those accounts and replace it with another government sponsored Ponzi scheme.
Lie: A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama. The elites in both parties and the bureaucrats in the Washington, D.C., cesspool are terrified of Ron Paul and are doing all they can to defeat him. There is a full-on media blackout of his candidacy. On the rare occasion Paul’s name is mentioned it is followed by the caveat, “He can’t win.” The Republican establishment operates for sole purpose of pleasing the Israel lobby, the banksters, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the military industrial complex. Paul is hated by them because he has openly stated he wants to eliminate alphabet soup government agencies that provide a revolving door between government and industry and cut off their gravy train: perpetual war. The banksters hate him because he wants to cut off their gravy train: the Federal Reserve and its endless money printing. So the Republican voter is propagandized into believing that he should abandon his principals and vote for a candidate he does not like or agree with on many points. The American voter has forgotten that it is the candidate’s job to provide a platform and record acceptable to the majority of the voting population. It is the voter’s job to accept or reject the candidate based on that record and platform. Anything less is a sellout of principals. A vote for either Mitt Romney or Obama is a vote for continued and reinforced fascism.

To those that either were not paying attention while the beauty contests were plagued with blatant corruption or have such short memories that you would allow msm to spin the stories into a narrative that the Ron Paul campaign supposedly is cheating and stealing delegates, I would have to reply with....."Nonsense".

The only thing missing is how the Dems wil have a field day on this, should Romney be nominated.
Romney will go further down in the polls.

Between election fraud, bogus polls leading up to beauty contests, numerous straw poll victories by Ron Paul that were conveniently ignored and now convention shenanigans, it is extraordinary that Paul supporters are still the ones concerned with actually obeying the party rules.
The fact is that the Paul campaign's big mistake throughout this process has been their confidence in being able to come back to the states they were initially cheated out of and pick-up the delegates anyway. This confidence possibly was the contributing factor that caused them to not fight for the beauty contest wins and better expose the election fraud in the first place. They should have fought for their rightful win in Iowa in which 9 precincts of votes which were believed to be Paul strongholds were thrown out of the permanent record of the vote and never counted. Even without them, Paul was basically in a 3-way tie. The vast majority of the entrance polls showed he should have had a decisive win. Now, the fact that they did not fight for the states that were obviously corrupted is backfiring on them as they gather delegate wins by playing by the rules. The chaos ensues in every case so far because of the Romney/Establishment loyalists breaking the rules and then Paul supporters trying to get them to obey the rules. Yet they are being demonized because they did not win the beauty contests and reports are being spun that it is the Paul supporters that are supposedly causing the chaos. That line of reporting is just simply not based on the facts.
Of course, in the latest attacks on the Paul campaign, the national media is not going to remind you of the blatant election fraud in those states that occurred to the point of at least 2 state chairmen resigning: Nevada and Iowa. In Maine, how Charlie Webster has managed to keep his state chairmanship is unbelievable at this point. There is still no updated and complete legitimate accounting of the final Maine vote that I am aware of and apparently just like the Iowa vote in the very beginning, there probably never will be. Not fighting for the Maine beauty contest win either was probably the greatest cause of reduced vigor toward fundraising efforts by his supporters for at least a small portion of time.
So now, the national media pundits want you to believe that Ron Paul supporters are stealing wins? Give us all a break.
They never squawked about Mitt Romney using his lawyers to take over the North Dakota state convention, broke all their traditions and rules and then hauled off a majority of the delegates in a state that he lost the beauty contest by a mile in. (see video)
Where are the mainstream national stories of how illegitimate Romney delegates have been bussed into state conventions, then disappeared after getting caught? Or, circulating fake slates of delegates that had Romney supporters' names on the list that were supposed to be Ron Paul slates? This tactic was caught at a number of conventions. In Nevada, a Romney loyalist had a fake badge to gain entry into convention and was wearing a Ron Paul t-shirt. He was caught handing out fake Paul delegate slates. Security was called to have him removed.
If you allow yourself to fall prey to accusations that supposedly the Paul supporters are cheating or the ones responsible for causing the chaos, take a step back and do your own research into the matter and find out the real facts.
All of these states that the Paul campaign has racked-up major delegate wins in were either overrun by blatant election fraud in the beauty contests or are states that the 75% anti-Romney vote is now coming into play. Is it the Paul campaign's fault that all the rest of the anti-Romney candidates chose to drop out?
If you still think it is terrible that the Paul campaign is having delegate victories even though they are the ones that have been playing by the rules.....Get over it!
The fact is that Mitt Romney seems to have never had the real majority of grassroots support on the ground to begin with. The Romney campaign has been dependent on small groups of loyalists breaking the rules, election fraud, an army of lawyers and dirty GOP leadership that has allowed him to get where he is at in this process today.
Let us not get confused, Mitt Romney has not yet won the nomination! Until and if he ever gets 1,144 BOUND delegates acquired through bona fide data and accurate math prior to the national convention, the primary race is not over. There is now even considerable debate regarding whether any delegate can truly be bound to begin with. According to party rules, there may be legitimate grounds to suggest that no delegate has to vote for any particular candidate and that a complete binding of their vote could actually be against the rules.
The most recent report by the Paul campaign is now calling a continuing battle at the Arizona convention a possible "game changer".
In the latest chaos at the Oklahoma state convention, once again Romney loyalists broke all their own rules and did not even complete the party's business before shutting out the lights and unethically closing down the convention presumably because they were not going to be happy with the results. It even descended into physical assaults by 2 Romney supporters against Paul supporters. That convention was started all over again outside in the parking lot, largely by the anti-Romney block of delegates which would include former Santorum and Gingrich supporters that are now supporting Paul. The outdoor convention was covered yesterday via livestream over the internet and an archive of the event can be viewed here. Viewers from all over the world sent pizzas to the crowd in order for them to be able to keep going and complete the party business at hand. Attendees thanked the Daily Paul for getting the word out to chip-in on this effort.
At this point, ask yourself when was the last time that the presumptive winner of the Kentucky Derby actually made it to the winner's circle after all the rest of the horses were allowed to complete the race? Pundits and so-called experts get it wrong all the time.
Let the primary race continue and let the people finally decide that the race is not over until it is really over.
A brokered convention is shaping up to be even more of a likely possibility even though Santorum and Gingrich have dropped out. The anti-Romney vote is still the largest voting block in the party. That has always been an undeniable fact.
Don't let yourself be presumptively McCain'd again. I believe Republican voters just are not going to lay down and let that happen this time around. Voters have had it with the mainstream media and GOP leadership picking their nominee. It will be interesting to see what could possibly be one of the most exciting brokered conventions in decades.
Ron Paul obviously is receiving the lion's share of Independent voters and could possibly be peeling off as many Democratic voters away from Obama as he is receiving Republican votes. This can be evidenced in part by "The Other New Hampshire primary results barely whispered about" from the very beginning.
Let's make sure that 9 full innings are actually played this time.
My best political advice for the Paul campaign if he indeed loses the nomination would be for Ron Paul to jump onto a 3rd party or Independent ticket as VP right after the convention is over and probably would not hurt to have some of his people working on that possible Plan B in the near future. The "spoiler argument" would be an even greater case of hogwash than normal, given this particular candidate's obviously broad appeal.

As Chaos Mounts, Ron Paul’s Convention Plans Remain Mysterious
Benjy Sarlin May 14, 2012, 6:00 AM 2211
Mainstream Republicans afraid Ron Paul’s steady accumulation of delegates will cause chaos at their national convention in Tampa just received a terrifying preview of what a worst-case scenario might look like.
In Oklahoma on Saturday, Paul supporters and Romney supporters reportedly came to blows as the Paul side fell short of electing their slate of delegates amid cries of foul play, including the use of a voice vote instead of a more painstaking roll call to decide the outcome. Speaking at the event, Romney surrogates Tim Pawlenty and the state’s own governor, Mary Fallin, drew jeers.
At the state convention in Arizona, also this weekend, the presumptive nominee’s son, Josh Romney, was booed off the stage by Paul supporters, some of whom derided his father as “the white Obama.”
At this point it’s way too late to keep Paul from having a sizable presence at the Republican National Convention, and likely control of enough state delegations to put his name up for a floor vote against Romney. But it’s still an open question just what these delegates and other Paul activists planning events for the national convention will do when they actually get there.

Rand Paul: GOP Needs Ron Paul Supporters to Grow
Reports The Des Moines Register:
Sen. Rand Paul, in Des Moines today, said if the Republican Party wants to grow, it needs to include supporters of his father who bring different views on certain issues.
“People talk about it being a big tent – having a big tent means bringing in the Ron Paul people. And if you do, your party will grow,” he said…
Drew Ivers, a Ron Paul campaign official in Iowa, called the changes “growing pains” that are offset by the benefits of growing the party. He said people new to politics can be “zealous” and don’t always understand customary procedures, but they will learn with experience.
Paul spoke at an event sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, a super-PAC that opposes President Obama’s green energy agenda…
Sen. Paul is right. The Ron Paul people are not only growing the GOP–they’re transforming it.
