When they ask me who I'll vote for

I'm running in a republican primary against Bob "spend, borrow, war, SOPA/CISPA/PATRIOT ACT" Goodlatte.
That's the easy part. On June 12th we will beat him. However, at three GOP events in a row I've been asked by an establishment toad in the audience whether I will support Romney as the GOP candidate -- i.e. will I vote Republican.
Yesterday I returned the favor by asking the toadie "If Ron Paul is the nominee, may I expect her full and unfettered support for Ron Paul?"
Then I withdrew the question, saying of course she would vote for him, and that I (unlike her) would never stoop to impugn her character or conservatism. She wiggled and wriggled back into her establishment cave and shut up.
Things have changed in the GOP over the past years, and we are now the majority, as the revolution grows.
We own the party and may we always remain principled and passionate! www.karenkforcongress.com

Smoke and Mirrors in Louisiana

http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.co...nd-mirrors.jpg Doug Wead On Saturday I promised an update into the complex world of Louisiana intra-party politics. You will remember that the national press proclaimed an upset win by Ron Paul in the first round of caucuses. But the GOP has worked to take that away.
Here is how events are unfolding.
The Republican Party of Louisiana has a history of protecting the establishment. They have placed a number of landmines throughout their caucus and convention processes to make it extremely difficult for Ron Paul supporters to make it all of the way to the floor of the Republican National Convention.
One simple example is a cleverly written rule, which allowed the LAGOP to abruptly change the date of the caucus. As soon as the state party realized how organized we were, the date of the election was changed from early February to late April. The date change created the unprecedented scenario of putting the Louisiana primary BEFORE the caucus. Something that has never happened before in this state and is unlikely to ever happen again.
Another example is the scheduling of the Republican State Central Committee meeting immediately after the state convention in Shreveport. The Louisiana Republican Party is hoping that the Ron Paul supporters will do something controversial at the state convention so that they’ll have an excuse to unseat some or all of the Ron Paul supporters at their RSCC meeting.
The Louisiana Republican Party is organized differently from many other states. Often, like in Michigan or Nevada, the state convention is the top governing authority of the state republican party. Unfortunately for our freedom fighters in the bayou state, this is not the case. The RSCC is the final authority and it is their bylaws that created the caucus and the convention.
The two examples above are just the tip of the iceberg. I can’t reveal our entire strategy because the establishment operatives obviously read this blog as well.
But I can tell you that we have great leaders across Louisiana who have navigated these paths before. They are working overtime to ensure that the Louisiana delegation gets all the way to the Republican National Convention!
It can be tempting to thumb your nose at the establishment whenever you get the opportunity. And they definitely deserve it!
But in this situation, getting the Ron Paul delegates all the way to Tampa and encouraging our activists to become part of the party structure should be our top priority.

WESTCHESTER, PA, May 22, 2012 — The mainstream media continue to discount Ron Paul as a factor in the race for the Republican nomination, even though he and his supporters could become serious contenders when the convention meets in August. Paul continues to rack up delegates in such states as Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado.
Strangely, in spite of the success of Paul’s strategy in accumulating delegates, many pundits insist that Paul remains a nonfactor. These same pundits continue to claim that electorally Ron Paul cannot win the Republican nomination, and while the media miss the mark by discounting Paul as a contender, they miss the truly “big story” of the 2012 election. That is, that Ron Paul, mobilizing both young and old with his message of liberty tempered by personal responsibility, and government power tempered by accountability, has already won far more than the election. He has won the trust and the imagination of the people, Rocky Balboa-style.

Oklahoma: Time to follow the Rules

There comes a point where a stand must be taken. Organizations are governed by Rules just as society is ruled by Laws. As a Republican, I hold the Rules of the Republican Party in high regard. When they are violated it must be addressed, or else we have anarchy and chaos. These are not small things. They are the very structural foundation of our political party. Without these Rules, we are a mob.
It is with a heavy heart, but head held high, that I write of this today. After fruitless negotiation, we have been forced to take action. Ample evidence has been broadcast to the world of violations of process and rule at the Oklahoma State Republican Party, on May 12th, 2012. A letter from our attorneys has been issued to the Chairman of the Republican Party of Oklahoma. I wish it had not come to this, but it has.

Vote Ron Paul for President
Yes, Ron Paul is still in the 2012 race for President, having won a majority of delegates in Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Iowa, and Minnesota. He is the only candidate that is solidly committed to the constitutional government that made us the free people we are. Ron Paul believes in sound money, avoiding needless foreign wars, and protecting our constitutional freedoms. These are the foundational principles for creating jobs and a booming economy.
It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “Banking institutions having the issuing power of money are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies.” Our Constitution gave the issuing power of money to Congress to protect our freedoms and liberties. Without Congressional oversight, the Federal Reserve has given trillions of dollars to their friends on Wall Street and foreign governments and banks. Like President Kennedy in an earlier generation, Ron Paul wants to re-establish Congressional authority over money in order to provide for a sound monetary policy and more stable economy.

It is time to return to a common-sense foreign policy that puts America’s security first: not fighting expensive undeclared wars, not policing the world, and not engaging in so-called “nation building.” We have over 900 military installations and military personnel in over 130 countries – far in excess of any national defense need. It should be obvious that our national defense is not served by an excessive involvement and resultant “blowback” by our military entanglement in just about every nation in the world. Ron Paul is not in favor of the expensive and aggressive interventionist foreign policy that we now have. Ron Paul is for a strong national defense; after all, defending our nation is the federal government’s most important duty.
Ron Paul is a champion of our precious and constitutionally guaranteed liberties and rights. He actively opposes internet censorship due to its violation of the First Amendment (free speech). He strongly opposes the Patriot Act’s violation of the Fourth Amendment (search and seizure). He voted against the National Defense Authorization Act because of the violation of the Fifth Amendment (due process). Ron Paul has consistently voted to protect our freedoms.
Why is America in its current crisis? Because we continue to drift further and further from our timeless and proven founding principles. As a 12-term member of Congress, Ron Paul is consistent in his message of proclaiming liberty and adherence to the tried and true ideals that have kept and preserved us as a nation. For the June 5 primary, vote for liberty; vote for Ron Paul.

Government's responsibility is to create the environment to encourage prosperity.
Previous policies of stimulation by more spending and lowered interest rates are not sustainable.
People can eliminate personal debt through hard work and gain back personal prosperity.
Regulations have chased away businesses and capital along with them. Once we create an environment that makes it possible to run businesses then they will not be able to hire people fast enough to fill all the jobs.

I didn't know if anyone here had seen this article yet. I found it on Ron Pauls official facebook page. It is pretty amazing, everyone pass it around. This amazing in my opinion. This happened at Sparks Nevada recently, Paul made an appearance and addressed the crowd. Apparently he converted some Romney supporters. Looks like everyone wants on the freedom train now. :)
Taken from the article: "After Ron Paul spoke in Sparks, Nevada, earlier this month, observers took note of Mitt Romney supporters crumpling up their Romney signs and vowing to vote for Paul. It was the first time many Republican activists had ever heard Paul speak outside of the several minutes of sound bites allotted to him during televised debates."

After Ron Paul spoke in Sparks, Nevada, earlier this month, observers took note of Mitt Romney supporters crumpling up their Romney signs and vowing to vote for Paul. It was the first time many Republican activists had ever heard Paul speak outside of the several minutes of sound bites allotted to him during televised debates.
The Paul campaign's recent announcement that he has doubled down on its delegate strategy has made it increasingly likely that Ron Paul will appear at an increased number of state conventions this year. Republican state conventions, such as Minnesota's this past weekend, are increasingly making their way onto Paul's busy speaking schedule.
As an example, this weekend Paul spoke to an estimated 2,000 Republicans at the Minnesota Republican Convention in St. Cloud. Later in the convention, Republican National Committeeman Jeff Johnson spoke words of unity and praise, perhaps indicative of Paul's ability to win the hearts and minds of the Republican Party. Recent analysis has even shown that Paul has seen his base double.
In Sparks, Paul spoke opposite Josh Romney, the son of Mitt Romney. Many a political strategist will point out, however, that a surrogate is never as effective as having the candidate himself speak. By not attending state conventions, Romney cedes ground to Paul. He also saves face. It's unlikely that the moderate Romney will fare well at a convention next to the conservative Paul. Last week in Arizona, reports indicated that Republican activists went so far as to refer to Romney as "Obama-lite."
With growing discontent for the moderate Romney in the Republican Party and Ron Paul surging, how much terrain can Romney risk losing to Paul? How long will it be before Romney joins Paul at state conventions, prompting impromptu debates?
Perhaps Paul's "It's the Delegates, Dummy" strategy of focusing on delegates and speaking at state conventions is deserving of more praise than most pundits realized. Paul may succeed at convincing Republican voters to force a head-to-head comparison alongside Mitt Romney.

AP: Replacing a legend: Candidate for Ron Paul’s seat says ‘it’s sort of like being the coach after Bear Bryant’
When Republican congressional hopeful Randy Weber knocks on doors in Ron Paul‘s hometown and says he’d like to take “Dr. No’s” place in Washington, he offers a caveat.************************************************** **************
“I hasten to add that Ron Paul’s not running again,” said Weber, a two-term Texas state representative. “It’s happening less now, but a lot of people look at you like, ‘why would you want to run against him? How dare you?’ ”
Internet Vs. The Machine: Ron Paul's Social Media Revolution Still Can't Topple The Status Quo
Ron Paul's social media revolution couldn't disrupt the two party status quo.
Erik Kain, Forbes Contributor | 5/15/2012 @ 11:29AM
Ron Paul has effectively suspended his presidential campaign due to a lack of funds. The Texas Republican will still hold campaign events but won’t compete in primaries going forward. Spreading his small government message was always Paul’s first priority, even if he had to run for president in order to spread that message.************************************************** **************
Paul’s campaigns in 2007/2008 and 2011/2012 should be viewed as the first real internet-based presidential campaigns – the first time a campaign truly made use of, and relied upon, grassroots internet activism and social media to take root and flourish. Nobody has been as successful at this as Ron Paul, though certainly the Obama campaign has also made social media and online activism central to its efforts.
It’s odd, in one sense, that someone whose message cleaves so ferociously to the past should make such good use of modern technology, but that’s exactly what Paul’s campaign has done, spreading a gospel of small government and liberty through social media.
How the Ron Paul takeover could help the state GOP
Ron Paul supporters hold rigid positions on government spending, national debt and defense, but they have flexibility on issues that have led to deeper divides: gay marriage and abortion.
By Cyndy Brucato | May 22, 2012, 09:25 am
For all the sturm und drang over what’s going to happen to the state Republican Party with the takeover by Ron Paul supporters, there are bright spots -- depending on what kind of Republican you are.************************************************** **************
Republicans who are worried about the party’s precarious financial position can take hope in a modicum of fundraising resurgence. A Saturday event with Paul and newly endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Kurt Bills netted the party at least $12,000.
Republicans who want Bills to deliver more than just pluck in his contest with Sen. Amy Klobuchar are being reassured that the new blood is paying off by way of checks. Hours after his endorsement at the state GOP convention last weekend in St. Cloud, Bills held an event with Paul that raised about $20,000 for his Senate campaign.
Five things Ron Paul wants from the Republican National Convention
Peter Grier, Staff writer | May 22, 2012
It looks as if Ron Paul is going to be an active participant in the Republican National Convention in Tampa this August. That will mark a big change from 2008, when Congressman Paul held a rival convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul while the GOP nominated John McCain nearby.
Here’s our take on the five things Paul hopes to gain from staying within his party’s tent in 2012.
************************************************** **************
OMG! OMG! Adhering to the Constitution is like OMG, like SO "extreme!"
Of course the hilariously pliant sheeple, who delude that they're actually 'liberals' working at a 'progressive' NGO, when in reality, it's nothing more than a neoCon outfit founded by Clinton's former Chief of Staff John 'I wanted to decapitate Saddam Hussein in 1998' Podesta-owned Center for [Un]American Progress' online arm, "ThinkProgress," is gonna wax apoplectic about a concept that they've never ever been introduced to, in their entire lives: uphold ALL parts of the Constitutions and the Bill of Rights.
Here's the new R3VOL influenced, new Iowa GOP platform that the liberal fascists at Think Progress are going Ape-Scheisse over:
We insist that a candidate prove that he or she meets all requirements for that office prior to being placed in nomination, including proof of United States citizenship.
We support the elimination of the departments of Agriculture, Education, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Health and Human Services, Energy, Interior, Labor, and Commerce as well as TSA, FDA, ATF, EPA, National Endowment for the Arts, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
We call for a full investigation of the organization formerly known as ACORN and its allied organizations, call for full prosecution of those involved in any illegalities discovered, and call for elimination of government funding of such organizations.
We demand that the term “sustainable development” be defined, vetted, and controlled by county and state agricultural agencies whose private property it impacts rather than the UN, other international or Agenda 21 agencies, or any federal organization.
We support constitutional state sovereignty including nullification of federal oversteps.
We disagree with Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton as “settled law.” Under the Tenth amendment, these Supreme Court decisions have no authority over the states.

Paul rallies his troops to fight the GOP Establishment and media
Kevin Kervick
Manchester Independent Examiner
Presidential candidate Ron Paul addressed his loyal army via this YouTube statement that was released earlier today. The message to his supporters was that the campaign is still fighting hard and it is time to redouble efforts.
If anyone in the big media or the Establishment GOP had any question about Dr. Paul's intentions, this statement put those doubts to rest. Dr. Paul is in this campaign fight to win. His campaign has an aggressive strategy to combat what he believes are abusive practices by his opponent's campaign and Governor Romney's new partners on the GOP national committee. Dr. Paul will be fighting very hard to win delegates in the next series of states' conventions, despite the tactics that are being used against him by an establishment and a media that are not supposed to be taking sides.
This is welcome news to Paulistas from all over the country who still believe Congressman Paul can be President of the United States, despite what they are hearing from the big media. Paul's supporters want to fight.
This message from Dr. Paul today provided the rationale for doing so, and it reassured the Paul nation that the Congressman and his staff will fight just as hard as they will. This was music to their ears.
The key aspects of Dr. Paul's statement are listed below:
- The campaign is having great success gaining delegates at state conventions and taking over local parties, but the media is not reporting the news.
- Dr. Paul will continue to fight as long as his supporters are behind him.
- The campaign has been very honest about its delegate strategy from the beginning.
- The Republican Establishment is scared of Dr. Paul's strength and success in electing national delegates.
- Other campaigns are using desperate attempts to downplay the success and they are using outrageous abuses of procedure to try to keep Dr. Paul from getting delegates.
- The campaign is quite capable of fighting back aggressively and protecting liberty.
- Dr. Paul is in this to win the battle.
- The campaign has put forward a professional, positive, aggressive message from day one.
- The liberty movement is winning the message war and people are waking up.
- The special interests are 'coming for us and have already written our obituary'.
- Unlike other campaigns, Dr. Paul cannot go to Wall Street or Bankster fat cats for financial help. Therefore, the campaign can only prosper if concerned patriots contribute.
- Dr. Paul intends the campaign to work hard in the upcoming eight state conventions. Funds generated now will be allocated toward that fight.
- Dr. Paul appreciates his supporters who have stood by his side.
- Now is the time to redouble efforts to spread the message of liberty in order to defeat the status quo.
There can be no question that Dr. Paul is serious and he wants his troops to stay with him to the end. This campaign is just getting started.

I read today:
"It amazes me how many profess faith in God,
but can’t accept that God will assist us if we only make the choice to act to restore godly principles to this nation.
When I stand before my maker, I believe I will be held to a standard something like this, “If every person (action) as you (or to the same degree as you), would the world have been a better (more godly) or a worse (more evil) place. Among the missing (action) words or phrases may be: “treated others,” “voted ,” “sought truth,” “fudged on principle,” “compromised good for evil,” etc.
When God sends a Ron Paul, I cannot vote for a Mitt Romney. I am a Mormon, and it does not bother me that Mitt Romney has the ear of some persons in the (former) Freeman Institute, or in any other group. Ron Paul has proved that he does not compromise on Principle, and Mitt Romney has proved over and over that he does. My vote for Romney would violate my integrity. It would prove to others around me that I have no faith.
Our Founders recognized the hand of God in nearly every occurrence along the path toward freedom. If we are truly paying attention to the Ron Paul/Freedom movement, and not just paying lip service, how can we not recognize the hand of God in this fight. That does not mean that Ron Paul will be president, maybe he will, maybe he wont, but we have come a very long way in very little time. We will continue to progress if we keep working. The fight for freedom must become a lifetime passion. Even recovered freedoms will quickly slip away if we become comfortable.
That said, can anyone tell me why a Ron Paul slate for the WA State Convention should not include a choice for Permanent Chairperson? When I brought up the question at the 6th Dist Ron Paul meeting, I was told that Kirby Wilber would probably start as the Temporary Chair and that Wilbur “has never done anything egregious enough” for us to want to replace him. Personally, I believe this is a good start of a recipe for failure. I am going to be very disappointed if the Paul Campaign does not have someone to nominate for Chairperson for this convention. I want the opportunity to vote for a better man than Kirby Wilbur, and I think we would have a chance, if we could go into the Convention knowing who to nominate/vote for that position.

After a study published last year labeled viewers of Fox News as grossly misinformed, the researchers who conducted the poll have expanded their work and now confirm, again, that the network’s audience might want to consider changing the channel.
Researchers at Fairleigh Dickinson University conducted a study last year that yielded some inarguably unsurprising information about Fox News’ viewership. At the time, researchers concluded that, based off of a study that sampled residents of New Jersey, people that only watch Fox News are less informed on current events than people that don’t watch cable news at all. Now only months later, the school’s researchers have published their finding of a similar study that calls on a sample of participants from coast-to-coast and, according to the results, confirm that their earlier report wasn’t a fluke.

John Ramsey became old enough to buy a Carlsberg nine months ago. The 21-year-old college student from east Texas isn’t old enough to serve in Congress. His intellectual role model, U.S. Texas Representative Ron Paul, has been in Congress 22 years -- longer than Ramsey has been alive.
Yet, Ramsey is leaving a mark on U.S. politics that may outlast his political mentor and presidential candidate, Paul. The college senior spent $1.3 million of his own money to create a super-political action committee, Liberty for All Super PAC, that backs candidates who endorse what Ramsey calls “freedom philosophy.” The dogma includes policies championed by Paul, such as supporting free-market economics, protecting civil liberties, slashing government spending and opposing most U.S. military action.

Oklahoma
5/22/2012 at about 5:10pm: Oklahoma GOP chairman Matt Pinnell evicted me from HQ bldg shortly after I entered building. This was after he told another republican that National non-delegates could enter building with video cameras. Apparently the Pinnell & others in the building were shocked that I showed up. Pinnell indicated it was a private club, even though Im a card carrying republican since 1973 when I 1st joined Army during Vietnam War. Pinnel went so far as to ask me if I needed help in leaving building. I went back to parking lot & told Conservative slate delegates & Paul supporters what happened. They were shocked. After Ron Paul folks got their cameras & live feed gear charged up about 20 minutes later they all (about 70 of them) marched down to the GOP headquarters & Pinnell did not say a word about the cameras nor about non-executive member delegates. Everybody (including me) got inside building for conservative slate caucus in another meeting room in the building.
I dont know why Pinnell had the nerve to mess w/me. If he has a problem with me not prejudicing Ron Paul folks, then he better get over it real quick.

Nevada
The revolution is strong here in Nevada! At the beginning of our CCRCC eBoard meeting, pro-establishment Chairman Gibbs and Vice Chairman Stroupe both read out loud their letter of resignation and walked out of the meeting.
Seconds after walking out to "go grab a beer" with the now former Vice Chairman, an email was sent out to Clark County Republicans with the following text:
CCRP CHAIRMAN JOINING TEAM NEVADA
Las Vegas, Nevada - May 23, 2012 - Today, Clark Country Republican Party Chairman Dave Gibbs announced to CCRCC members that he will be joining Team Nevada.
Members of the Clark County Republican Central Committee,
When I was elected Chairman of the CCRP, my plan was to focus all our efforts on electing Republicans to office as is stated in our county party bylaws. I, and many others, believe that 2012 offers us a great opportunity to make gains in all levels of government that will get this county, state, and nation refocused on fiscal responsibility, reduced regulation, and less
However, I find that I now spend more that 75 percent of my available time focused on issues that have nothing to do with electing Republicans. These distractions take away from doing what must be done in order to defeat the Democrats this fall.
So that I can focus my time and energy on doing what is really important to win this fall, I have decided to leave my Chairman’s position at Noon on Friday, 25 May 2012, and take a volunteer position with Team Nevada.
the encouragement and support I have received from so many of our members, and I am proud to call so many of you my friend. As I leave, I want you to know that your dedication to the Republican Party and to working for positive changes has meant more to me than you can
I ask that you continue to work in whatever method you desire to elect Republicans to office this fall. I’ll see you around the county.

Delegates
Illinois
I've yet to hear from anyone saying that they actually became a delegate because of my recent threads and help via email answering people's questions to become a delegate. But, most likely not because of anything I did, the IL GOP has keeps extending the deadline to become a delegate for the IL state convention.
So, even though I've been committing over 8 hour days for about a week straight trying to help people and getting a little tired from a lack of results, I want everyone to know that I'm still here to answer anyone's questions to get them appointed as delegate or alternate delegate for the IL state convention.
If you are in IL, are willing to make a phone call, can pay the $50 fee and are available June 8-9th to be at the convention, then feel free to email me at sovereign120@gmail.com and I'll do my best to get you appointed.
This is too important.

"My job is to try and create party unity, and that's my goal. But I'm distressed that there is an apparent attempt to create this confusion."Read more: Ron Paul supporters seeking control of state GOP

Massachusetts RNC delegates.. do not sign any affidavit!
I posted last night a letter that has gone out reportedly to Massachusetts delegates requiring that they sign an affidavit stating that they will vote for Romney at the RNC or risk "the pain and penalty of perjury." This is a VERY serious issue. Massachusetts delegates need not take this lightly. I was emailed these quotes by Alison Wright.
These are comments by Jerry Davis at Lawyers for Ron Paul:
"1. "It IS ILLEGAL TO FORCE ANYONE TO VOTE ANY CERTAIN WAY...PERIOD!!!!"
2. "ALL of the 'binding' IS under civil constitutional law....VERIFIABLY...ILLEGAL."
3. "We are not even going the rule 38 route, ANY means of manipulating a vote, whether by proxy or by unit, is illegal."
4. "The RNC's use of these rules in their very nature, are illegal, but no-one has brought this to the table yet."VOTE ANY CERTAIN WAY...PERIOD!!!!
ALL of the "binding" IS under civil constitutional law....VERIFIABLY...ILLEGAL."
