And what do we say? NO ONE BUT PAUL!!!!

Gingrich to Romney: Court Ron Paul Supporters

    By Danny Yadron

If you look at the 2012 election through a historical lens, as Newt Gingrich is wont to do, Mitt Romney would be wise to court supporters of Rep. Ron Paul, the former House speaker argues in his latest column for the conservative publication Human Events.

Mr. Gingrich notes that recent elections in France and the rest of Europe prove how economic doldrums can wound incumbents of all parties. (The Wall Street Journal’s Gerald F. Seib addressed this issue in his latest column as well.)

    Ron Paul 2012

Here's a piece of what DW had to say.

Next Wednesday, May 9, 2012, will be an important day. I will be online that night at 9PM to talk with anyone who wants to join the discussion. Here is the link.

Doug Wead: Author, Speaker, Presidential Historian | Facebook

read the full blog: Ron Paul: How Many Delegates Now? « Doug Wead The Blog

This combined with John Stossel TWICE this week saying Ron Paul was going to take off next week. Does this mean something big we don't know about yet or am I missing something? Reading too much into nothing? theories?

    UPDATE III:
First, here is a 2008 article talking about the ability to abstain

    Paul backers give in, graciously - Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 | 2 a.m. - Las Vegas Sun

Second, here is the rule about nomination: Rule 40(d)
    (d) When at the close of a roll call any candidate for nomination for President of the United States or Vice President of the United States has received a majority of the votes entitled to be cast in the convention, the chairman of the convention shall declare that the candidate has been nominated. [emphasis mine]

    http://www.gop.com/images/legal/2008_RULES_Adopted.pdf

Thirdly, here is RRO rules on abstaining

    Do abstention votes count?

    Answer:

The phrase “abstention votes” is an oxymoron, an abstention being a refusal to vote. To abstain means to refrain from voting, and, as a consequence, there can be no such thing as an “abstention vote.”

In the usual situation, where either a majority vote or a two-thirds vote is required, abstentions have absolutely no effect on the outcome of the vote since what is required is either a majority or two thirds of the votes cast. On the other hand, if the vote required is a majority or two thirds of the members present, or a majority or two thirds of the entire membership, an abstention will have the same effect as a “no” vote. Even in such a case, however, an abstention is not a vote and is not counted as a vote. [RONR (11th ed.), p. 400, ll. 7-12; p. 401, ll. 8-11; p. 403, ll. 13-24; see also p. 66 of RONRIB.

    Frequently Asked Questions about RONR

This means that every abstain is one FULL vote removed from Romney he MUST have 1154 votes to get nomination. [edit to fix #required]

Fourth, here is the preamble of the The Rules of the Republican Party stating that the current rules are in effect until the convention

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the following be and hereby are adopted as The Rules of the Republican Party, composed of the rules for the election and government of the Republican National Committee until the next national convention, the rules under which delegates and alternate delegates shall be allotted to the respective states in the next national convention, and the rules under which such delegates and alternate delegates shall be elected and under which contests shall be considered, and the rules of business of this national convention.

    http://www.gop.com/images/legal/2008_RULES_Adopted.pdf

It gets a BIT more confusing when it comes down to the Rules committee and what they can do, but there will be months to finish that research(too tired right now to work it out) as those things can't happen until the delegates are all chosen. Please everyone keep this post on the top via comments all day so that people will have a chance to view this information, i've been up all night doing this and need sleep... 2 finals tomorrow good day all!

The Real GOP Delegate Map The Media Won’t Show You

Posted by Alexander Higgins - May 9, 2012 at 10:26 am - Permalink - Source via Alexander Higgins Blog

Even after Ron Paul had massive victories over the weekend, the media is still lying about the Romney delegate count so here is the latest real map.

The corporate media still is running story after story claiming Romney has a massive lead and Paul has few delegates.

Simply put, as the table below shows, the media is counting non-binding caucuses and states with mixed primaries as wins and delegates for Romney column.

The problem is the non-binding caucuses don’t mean a thing. Those non-binding caucuses are just that non-binding and the real delegate selection for many of these states hasn’t even happened yet.

As we saw over the weekend, Romney got romped by Paul in 3 states that the media had counted as Romney states based on the results of these non-binding caucuses.
But guess what? The media is still not updating their falsely reported delegate counts and are instead sticking to the story that Romney is way out a head.

In reality, Ron Paul has won the 5 states (actually he is winning 11 states now) needed to secure a spot at the GOP national convention but you won’ see those 5 states listed as wins on any corporate media list of delegate counts.

But putting aside the deception they are using to manufacture consent for Romney, here is the real 2012 GOP delegate map as provide by a Ron Paul supporter.

The Real GOP Delegate Map May 7 2012

And here is a report from a real media outlet willing to tell the public the truth.

Also Notice how the media is still counting states such as Maine, Nevada, and many more for Romney even though he has officially lost these states over the weekend when the real delegates were selected.
The latest update from Business Insider:
Republicans Are Finally Getting Nervous About Ron Paul’s Secret Delegate Strategy

For several weeks I have been writing about Ron Paul’s upset victories at district and state GOP conventions, and about the surprising success of his delegate strategy. Now, with Paul’s delegate sweeps in Maine and Nevada, it looks like Mitt Romneyand the Republican Party are finally starting to catch on to the trend.Paul supporters swept this weekend’s state GOP conventions, picking up 21 of 24 RNC delegates in Maine and 22 out of 28 delegates in Nevada. The twin victories come on the heels of Paul’s surprise delegate wins at district caucuses and state conventions in Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, and Louisiana, as well as a Paul-friendly takeover of the Alaska GOP.Paul supporters have managed to stage these state-level coups despite significant resistance from local Establishment Republicans, many of whom are predictably reluctant to relinquish their power to the insurgents. So far, however, the Paul campaign has attributed most of the Establishment’s “shenanigans” to local animosities. But there is growing evidence that the Romney camp — and the national GOP — are stepping up their efforts to prevent an embarrassing Ron Paul uprising on the floor of the Republican National Convention. In Maine, for example, the Romney campaign dispatched its top lawyer, Benjamin Ginsberg, to oversee the state convention proceedings this weekend. (It’s worth noting that Ginsberg is best known for his work for George W. Bush during the 2000 Florida recount.)Ginsberg’s presence didn’t stop the convention from descending into chaos, with both sides accusing the other of breaking party rules with phony ballots and illegal delegate votes. (The Kennebec Journal has a colorful account of the madness here.)
Ultimately, Paul supporters out-numbered and out-organized their Romney counterparts, winning the majority of the state’s RNC delegates, as well as both RNC Committee Chair posts and 34 out of 50 open spots on the state party committee. Romney supporters have pledged to mount a legal challenge to the results with the Republican National Committee.
In Nevada, the Paul sweep was largely expected — the Silver State has been a Ron Paul stronghold since the 2008 election, when the state GOP literally turned off the lights at their convention to avoid seating Ron Paul delegates to the national convention. Since then, Paul supporters have won elections to local and county GOP boards, and are now major players in state Republican politics.
“The Establishment is us now,” Ron Paul’s Nevada campaign director Carl Bunce told Business Insider before this weekend’s convention. “If we turn off the lights, we know where the light switch is.”
But Nevada’s Paul-friendly party Establishment didn’t stop the Republican National Committee from trying to stop Paul’s acolytes from completing their takeover this weekend. In a letter obtained by the Las Vegas Sun last week, the RNC’s lawyer warned that the national party could unseat Nevada’s convention delegation in Tampa if the state party elected too many Ron Paul supporters as delegates.
Romney is also apparently keen not to avoid a second embarrassment in Iowa, a state where Paul continues to make significant inroads. At the Republican National Committee summit in Phoenix last month, Romney aides tried to force Iowa’s three-person RNC delegation to sign a “loyalty pledge” promising to vote for Romney at the national convention. Iowa GOP Chair AJ Spiker, a former state director for the Paul campaign, told Business Insider that the Romney camp backed down after he and the two Iowa RNC chairs refused to sign the pledge.
Privately, sources close to the Ron Paul campaign say they believe Republicans will continue to ramp up his efforts to block Paul delegates at state conventions, particularly after Romney’s embarrassing delegate losses in Massachusetts. But state organizers tell Business Insider that Paul supporters are significantly more organized than Romney’s delegate team, and are ready to put up a tough fight in states like Idaho and Washington.

How The Media Falsely reports 2012 Republican Delegates

    1) Non-binding caucuses are being scored for Romney. It’s a lie. Non-Binding caucuses are just that – non-binding which means they are not Romney’s delegates
    2) It was previously confirmed that Paul won at 5 states and is heading to the GOP national convention, and now he has the majority of delegates in 11 states.

Yet the following list from Real Clear Politics which is basically the same lie being echoed elsewhere in the media show Ron Paul only winning 1 state and only 93 delegates. There math clearly doesn’t add up.

Battle for Oklahoma - Santorum Team Sells Out

Submitted by Steve Dickson on Wed, 05/09/2012 - 15:21
    Blog

Rick Santorum is a pro-Life. Mitt Romney is sometimes. Rick Santorum is a social conservative. Mitt Romney is also, sometimes. Rick Santorum wants to repeal Obamacare. Mitt Romney does too (although he created Romneycare – never mind!).

Ron Paul has always been conservative. He has been a Republican Congressman for 24 years (which means he is not a member of the Libertarian Party). I don’t know where “legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution” comes from, but I do know that we have some drunken political whores running our government, and it’s time for them to go – in both parties.

Oh, and Ron Paul is the guy who stands for the right of Israel to determine her own future, and the location of her Capitol, without the interference of our government. He is also the guy who opposes the UN and globalism…

Civility means abiding by the Rules. We plan to – I certainly hope others do, although that would be a change from recent Conventions (Maine? Nevada? Colorado? Missouri? Never mind – nothing to see here..)

For your enjoyment, an email sent to me by a friend.

Subject: RON PAUL'S PLAN TO STEAL OKLAHOMA THIS SATURDAY
SUBJECT: RON PAUL'S PLAN TO STEAL OKLAHOMA
From David Van Risseghem, Oklahoma State Coordinator, Rick Santorum For President
    ________________________________________

If you are a Ron Paul activist, you need not read any further. You already know the things I'm about to say.

This Saturday, in Norman, Oklahoma; Ron Paul's people intend to complete their grand design and add Oklahoma to the growing list of state delegations they already control.

The national media is largely ignoring the recent developments in many state and district conventions.

Rick Santorum won Minnesota, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, Iowa, and several other states. But the states I just named are now under the control of Ron Paul, and those delegates intend to vote for Paul regardless of the outcome of their Caucus results.

Oklahoma pledged all their 40 delegates to Santorum, Romney, and Gingrich; on Super Tuesday (March 6th). Ron Paul received less than 10% of the vote and zero pledged delegates.
But when the time came for selecting which individuals will wear those national delegate badges, Ron Paul's activists have already successfully received 9 of the first 15 national delegates from Oklahoma.

Each congressional district was allowed to select 3 national delegates and three of Oklahoma's district conventions (3, 4 & 5) were all controlled by Ron Paul activists. Districts 1 and 2 selected primarily Santorum supporters. Ron Paul's activists attempted a coup at District One and they are now petitioning to vacate the results of District One. Here's an edited video they posted.

They redacted portions they don't what you to see. Oklahoma 1st District Republican Convention 2012 - YouTube

    Here's why I'm calling on you….

Dedicated Republicans need to work together to avoid a chaotic state convention this Saturday. The convention needs to select the final 25 delegates and protect the District One delegates. Libertarian forces are plotting to supplant the primary results by selecting an alternative slate of candidates who reflect the agenda of the American Libertarian Party. (Freedom is My Nationality: The libertarian takeover of the Republican Party?)

If you are a state delegate, it is imperative that you attend the Oklahoma Republican State Convention, this Saturday. There will assuredly be a passionate struggle for control of the convention, the national delegation, and the party's future. Call your county chairman, to make sure they added you to the delegation list.

Please take a few seconds to RSVP here: http://goo.gl/skNqb , so we can keep you informed of the developments this week.

The Tulsa County Republican Party has already filled up one bus for the trip to Norman, this Saturday. Another supporter has stepped up and offered to provide us another bus for the Santorum Supporters of Eastern Oklahoma, but only if enough interest is evident. We need a "hard count" by Thursday.

Please RSVP via this link: http://goo.gl/skNqb

It's time for all values voters to work together to keep our communities safe for the next generation. Several Ron Paul activists want to legalize recreational drug use, decimate obscenity laws, and sanction prostitution. It's time to stand with our allies in the middle east. It's time to restore civility to the Oklahoma Republican Party.

It's been a great honor to work with all of you during this presidential primary season. I don't regret any of it, regardless of what comes next.
    God bless you,

    Daily Paul Liberty Forum

I Today walked out of my speech class at Pasadena city college, to see a table with RP signs and informative brochures being worked by a fine gentlemen by the name of Brian. I identified myself as a liberty oriented individual who backs the Paul campaign then we had a great conversation about the fed, media, and the state of the enslaved mind, and how we can better set them free. Our dialog seemed to attracted more and more people we had a bunch sign up as republicans to vote on June 5th, but what I found was astonishing was the amount of people rooting for us and stopping to discuss the issues of the day.

So many people had different concerns and Pauls policies solved them all! Some democrats others republican yet all intrigued by RP. I just wanted to share this experience because it was the first time I had seen anyone actively advocating for Paul on campus, although the revolution continues with us I always focus on restoring liberty as the main issue, in speeches etc. but today was different, I didn't have to feed the message to people who really don't care, the youth care about America and we care about freedom and so forth.

Besides I really enjoyed explaining freedom, and rights to where my peers fully understood the concepts, and I explained the failures of government just by describing to them their own school administration and it's inefficiencies, and guess what it finally all clicked. I asked them if they liked going to the DMV better or Disneyland, public restrooms or private, I think analogies really help with the ground game and each of us have to connect with our own "demographic" for us to be able to unity occupy the mind of the other side and make your argument real! Make it hit home. Once they realize what they are asking for from the govt after understanding that your body is your property and if you give up property you give the state the decision of what your property, including your body will be used for, peoples jaws dropped and they really walked away with a new perspective, or their jaw just hit the floor !

Sorry for the long post but I am excited, thanks again to Brian and Paco there representing liberty and the champion of it Ron Paul, good luck in your battles patriots!

Romney Will Be Disqualified From Race Due To Fraud

GOP Threw 2012 Election to Obama in 2009, Multi-billion dollar ponzi scheme involving Romney and SonAs reported here and here several weeks ago, we reported that Romney would certainly be disqualified or discredited as a Presidential candidate for the 2012 election due to fraud and other crimes against the American Taxpayer and the US Government.

As far back as 2009, nearly concurrent with the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scandal, the GOP knew, beyond any doubt, that Mitt Romney was seriously involved with a Ponzi scheme, to the tune of $8.5 BILLION dollars.

In February of 2009, the Washington Post revealed that the SEC was alleging $8 Billion in savings fraud by Allen Stanford AND HIS COLLEAGUES, read Mitt Romney and Son, of lying about investments and CDs in a Ponzi scheme concerning staggering amounts of investor’s money, partnerships in which they invested upon collapse of the fraud.

“”We are alleging a fraud of shocking magnitude that has spread its tentacles throughout the world,” Rose Romero, director of the SEC’s Fort Worth office, said in a statement.”

Despite the actions of the SEC in this case,

“A few months after the Ponzi scheme collapsed, a firm financed by Mitt Romney and run by his son and chief fundraiser partnered with the three men and created a new “wealth management business” as a subsidiary.”

    So what do we know?

We know that Stanford has a PAC which has contributed large amounts of money to lawmakers annually.

We know that over $400,000 of that money was tied directly into the Madoff Ponzi scandal.

We know that one is only sentenced if FOUND GUILTY:

“Sentencing has been set for June 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 8A before Judge Hittner. Stanford faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years for the count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, each count of wire and mail fraud, and the count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, and five years for the count of conspiracy to obstruct an SEC investigation and the count of obstruction of an SEC investigation.”

Victims of this Ponzi scheme have been asked to fill out ‘Victim Impact Statement/Financial Crime’ and have not, as yet, received compensation or restoration of fraudulently stolen funds.

We know that Romney lied about the specifics of the Stanford Fraud and still created a joint ‘wealth management system’ with criminals

“Mitt Romney, his son Tagg, and Romney’s chief fundraiser, Spencer Zwick, have extensive financial and political ties to three men who allegedly participated in an $8.5 billion Ponzi scheme. A few months after the Ponzi scheme collapsed, a firm financed by Mitt Romney and run by his son and chief fundraiser partnered with the three men and created a new “wealth management business” as a subsidiary.”

Republicans Are Finally Getting Nervous About Ron Paul's Secret Delegate Strategy

    Grace Wyler|May 9, 2012, 7:48 AM| 19,870

For several weeks I have been writing about Ron Paul's upset victories at district and state GOP conventions, and about the surprising success of his delegate strategy. Now, with Paul's delegate sweeps in Maine and Nevada, it looks like Mitt Romney and the Republican Party are finally starting to catch on to the trend.

Paul supporters swept this weekend's state GOP conventions, picking up 21 of 24 RNC delegates in Maine and 22 out of 28 delegates in Nevada. The twin victories come on the heels of Paul's surprise delegate wins at district caucuses and state conventions in Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, and Louisiana, as well as a Paul-friendly takeover of the Alaska GOP.

Paul supporters have managed to stage these state-level coups despite significant resistance from local Establishment Republicans, many of whom are predictably reluctant to relinquish their power to the insurgents. So far, however, the Paul campaign has attributed most of the Establishment's "shenanigans" to local animosities.

(It's worth noting that Ginsberg is best known for his work for George W. Bush during the 2000 Florida recount.)

Ginsberg's presence didn't stop the convention from descending into chaos, with both sides accusing the other of breaking party rules with phony ballots and illegal delegate votes. (The Kennebec Journal has a colorful account of the madness here.)

Ultimately, Paul supporters out-numbered and out-organized their Romney counterparts, winning the majority of the state's RNC delegates, as well as both RNC Committee Chair posts and 34 out of 50 open spots on the state party committee.

"The Establishment is us now," Ron Paul's Nevada campaign director Carl Bunce told Business Insider before this weekend's convention. "If we turn off the lights, we know where the light switch is."

But Nevada's Paul-friendly party Establishment didn't stop the Republican National Committee from trying to stop Paul's acolytes from completing their takeover this weekend. In a letter obtained by the Las Vegas Sun last week, the RNC's lawyer warned that the national party could unseat Nevada's convention delegation in Tampa if the state party elected too many Ron Paul supporters as delegates.

Romney is also apparently keen not to avoid a second embarrassment in Iowa, a state where Paul continues to make significant inroads. At the Republican National Committee summit in Phoenix last month, Romney aides tried to force Iowa's three-person RNC delegation to sign a "loyalty pledge" promising to vote for Romney at the national convention. Iowa GOP Chair AJ Spiker, a former state director for the Paul campaign, told Business Insider that the Romney camp backed down after he and the two Iowa RNC chairs refused to sign the pledge.

Privately, sources close to the Ron Paul campaign say they believe Republicans will continue to ramp up his efforts to block Paul delegates at state conventions, particularly after Romney's embarrassing delegate losses in Massachusetts. But state organizers tell Business Insider that Paul supporters are significantly more organized than Romney's delegate team, and are ready to put up a tough fight in states like Idaho and Washington.

At this point, it is difficult to gage the actual delegate count, but even his closest campaign advisors admit it would be virtually impossible for Paul to deny Romney the nomination in Tampa.

So why are Establishment Republicans so concerned?

Even if the nomination is not in play, an army of Paul delegates could cause significant problems for the presumptive nominee, who needs a smooth convention to assuage concerns about his ability to unite and energize the Republican base.

While some of Paul's delegates will be bound to vote for Romney on the first ballot, they will not answer to Romney's campaign. That means that the presumptive nominee will have little control over how those delegates vote on the other issues at the convention, including the party platform, the convention chair, and even the vice-presidential nominee. If Paul winds up with the majority of delegates in six states — and it looks like he might — they will have the power to stop the convention proceedings, and make a motion on anything from electing a new convention chair, to changing the rules, to introducing new platform positions.

Sources close to the Ron Paul campaign tell Business Insider that senior strategists are already hunkering down to plan their convention strategy. The campaign did not respond to requests for comment, but if the state convention results are any indication, Romney underestimates their plan at his peril.
