'Screw Monica Not Us': Sudanese Chant Against Bill Clinton

    July 16, 2012

    ‘Screw Monica, Not Us!’

Posted by Thomas DiLorenzo on July 16, 2012 08:23 AM

That's what people in Sudan chanted after Bill Clinton attempted to divert world media attention away from Monica Lewinsky's grand jury testimony by sending missiles to a Sudanese aspirin factory on the very day of Monica's testimony. Clinton originally said the building was somehow linked to "terrorism," but later admitted that, yes, it was an aspirin factory.

Over the weekend the other half of the Dynamic Duo, Comrade Hillary, spread even more statesmanlike cheer, joy, and good feelings in the Middle East as she appeared in Egypt and was met with chants of "Monica! Monica!" while large crowds threw tomatoes and shoes at her car.

Media Ron Paul delegate plurality scam

    Elections 2012
    July 16, 2012
    By: Jeffrey Phelps

Ron Paul and his supporters, and possibly many others, must be astounded by the lack of respect for the truth in the media. Now all of the sudden he doesn't have a 5 state plurality of delegates?
If you're a Ron Paul supporter, you've likely seen an almost insurmountable mountain of odds placed against you and your favorite candidate. What's one more?

If it weren't already a virtual impossibility, in an alleged democratic society, for a non-establishment candidate to have a chance at becoming the nominee of a pro-establishment political party, it may be now.

Monday morning was host to the fulfillment of a new program run by the establishment's media. One that fully displays the totality of its desperation and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make sure Ron Paul doesn't become the nominee.
    Declare an alternate reality.

Evidently, if the reality taking place isn't going to cut it, all you have to do now is pretend it doesn't exist and go with a different one altogether. Done deal.

It doesn't matter that, back in May, Ron Paul had already won a five state plurality of delegates, the majority of delegates from any particular state, five being the minimum needed to appear on the first ballot at the RNC. Although reluctantly and somewhat quietly, it was even reported on at the time by the same establishment media that Paul had accomplished that hurdle.

Some outlets reported only the five, some as many as 7, while others reported Paul as having won 11 states at that point.

In order to make it that much more difficult for Ron Paul to have a shot at taking the Republican nomination, however, they decided that was no longer going to be the case.
It was already known Ron Paul didn't have the best chance in Nebraska, he wasn't doing as well as he would have liked in that state's county and district caucuses. His delegates weren't getting themselves elected in those regional elections which meant there wasn't going to be as strong of a showing for Paul at last weekend's state convention. This was a no-brainer.

If your delegates don't make it in force to the state convention, your position is minimized as a candidate with very little to no real voting power. If it's already expected Romney will have more delegates at the convention, it's likely he will walk away with more delegates to the RNC. It's very simple math.

Therefore, a little less than two weeks before the Nebraska state convention, the media decided to run the scam that Paul only had a four state plurality of delegates at the time and still needed one more state win to see his name on the RNC's first ballot.

Just as expected, Paul walked away with only 2 state delegates from Nebraska to the RNC and now the media is using the scam to act as if he is ineligible for so-called first ballot access. They now want you to think Paul “still has yet to achieve the needed 5 state plurality.” A total and outright double-cross.

It seems as if no amount of fighting for honesty and fairness has been enough to see justice in the process. It seems as though nothing the people do will be good enough for the establishment and its so-called right-wing, even if those things mean lawfully participating and voting.

Despite Iowa Straw Poll shenanigans, multiple stolen elections, Ron Paul delegate bullying and intimidation, unlawful arrests and broken bones, total media demonetization and a complete and brazen disregard for the truth about Ron Paul's policies and chances, supporters nonetheless scratched and clawed their way to an actual spot on the RNC ballot. Only to see the establishment attempt to strip that away, as well.

Perhaps it is the fact that they now realize Paul's supporters didn't fall for the previous scam, trying to make everyone believe delegates were “bound” to vote for Romney at the RNC, if Romney won their state's original primary or caucus.

Perhaps they are also concerned about the recent Lawyers for Ron Paul lawsuit filed in district court over everything mentioned here and even more done over the 2012 election cycle to prevent real and legitimate Americans from their constitutional right to participate and vote for whomever they choose.

Whatever the case may be, the question now becomes, how do they think they're going to get away with this one?

But just to add a little more mustard to the story, while still maintaining the false notion delegates are bound to vote for someone in particular, if they reach the RNC, the media even tried to console Gingrich supporters in an ABC News article after he dropped out. It was full of promises of future RNC hopes of their own. In it they even mentioned many of the states Paul had won at that point, without even mentioning Paul.

One can only wonder why they've never done anything like that for Ron Paul and his supporters?

Ron Paul, Nebraska and Our Stupid Media

    July 17, 2012

    in Front Page, Politics
Post image for Ron Paul, Nebraska and Our Stupid Media

I keep reading these stories about what happened in Nebraska yesterday, where phrases like “Ron Paul’s last stand” and reporters saying things like “it’s all over for Ron Paul” are used liberally.

This is stupid. These reports are stupid. They may be accurate in the immediate technical electoral sense, but are wholly inaccurate in the much more pertinent and larger sense when reporting on anything concerning Ron Paul and his very large, vocal and influential movement.

As I have said throughout this entire election cycle, the mainstream media knows how to cover campaigns. But it has no idea how to cover a movement. As The American Spectator’s James Antle wrote in early May at Real Clear Books:

But the biggest problem is that there is no easy media narrative for what Paul is doing. The success or failure of most presidential campaigns is determined by two simple metrics: winning the nomination and winning the White House. Whatever his principled disagreements with Mitt Romney, when Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign, that was all she wrote. There is no generation of Rick Santorum Republicans ready to run in his place.

I summed up the much larger importance of the liberty movement in my video Ron Paul is Becoming Something More Important than President in early June:

That Ron Paul will not be president is of little concern to me. I fought as hard as anyone on the campaign to make this happen, but from the very beginning I’ve never considered it the be-all-end-all goal of this campaign and this movement. Why? Because I know that what Ron Paul and all of us are doing is far more consequential than who actually wins the nomination or the presidency.

    Some might think I’m kidding. I’m not…

During the George W. Bush years there was zero libertarian principle in the Republican Party. In the last four years, and thanks to Ron Paul, the small “l” libertarian principles that Barry Goldwater promoted and Ronald Reagan considered the “heart of conservatism” are finally back—with a vengeance.

Ron Paul’s movement is taking over the GOP from the grassroots up—with many local and state Republican Parties being staffed, and in many cases led, by Paul supporters. Every last volunteer who spent time and effort working hard in their state conventions to secure delegates and the nomination for Ron Paul, can know that it is PRECISELY their efforts that are helping to transform the GOP of Bush into the Party of Paul.

And not only Ron Paul, but his son Senator Rand Paul. And not only the Pauls. but this is also becoming the Republican Party of Congressman Justin Amash and future Congressman Thomas Massie. This is becoming the Republican Party of the overwhelming number of 18-30 years old who voted for Ron Paul in this year’s Republican primaries, far more than any other GOP candidate. This is becoming the party of a new generation of voters who know they’ll never see entitlements like Social Security and Medicare, and who also understand that you can’t police the world while expecting to have limited government back home. This emerging new electorate understands that true limited government means eschewing both domestic and foreign welfare in ways their voter predecessors never understood.

There have been generations of “conservative” Republicans who’ve talked about cutting spending. Thanks to Ron Paul, we’re seeing the first generation willing to do it…

The worst thing about the Republican establishment is that they don’t stand for anything. The best thing about the Republican establishment is that they don’t stand for anything. Once our movement more fully defines what it means to be a conservative Republican, the establishment will follow. In some ways, they already are. Mainstream Republicans care first and foremost about being part of the winning team. Slowly but surely, it is our philosophy and our Republican brand that is becoming that winning team. The hardcore neoconservatives left standing in our wake might even have to go back to the Democratic Party from whence they came.

What Ron Paul is doing is right now is far more important than what Mitt Romney or Barack Obama are doing. Ron Paul is changing the Republican Party in a way that promises to bear political fruit for decades to come…

We have elections every few years. We have very few revolutions during our lifetime.

No doubt, the Tampa convention will be a coronation for Mitt Romney. This is fine. But it will also be the most high profile demonstration to date to mainstream America that the Republican Party is becoming the party of Ron Paul. And Rand Paul. And Justin Amash. And Thomas Massie. And beyond.

It is this movement that stands ready to define what it means to be a conservative Republican for the next 25 years, 50 years and then some.

Ron Paul will not be president. He will instead go down in history, if not this year, in future years, as the man who redefined what future Republican presidents will be. What the party will be…

It all started with Ron Paul, but doesn’t end with Ron Paul. As Dr. Paul said himself almost a year ago, right after he almost won the Iowa Straw Poll: “I’m not trying to win an election. I’m trying to change the course of history.”

And he is. We all are.

    This is only the beginning.

Why does it bother you so much. Don't like the fact that he is the only one who is telling us like it is. Romney and Obama same coin flip side. Make no mistake about it Romney is better than Obama but not by much. Mitt Romney is not better than Ron Paul plain and simple not even equal.

Uh... I figure if I don't like a thread, I certainly have to read it. Or resort to rather nasty arguing as seen on another current thread. : ) We are individuals not carbon copies. Just saying.

2 Minutes Left In the Game, 40 points Ahead, What do you do?

    Submitted by 4Constitution on Tue, 07/17/2012 - 19:07
    DP Original

So, it is the fourth quarter and there are two minutes left in the game and you are 40 points ahead. What do you do? What does any normal human being do? Most honorable coaches give there second string some game time, some experience, and give the other team a break. What are the percentages of this happening? Throughout middle school, high school, college, and even in professional sports, this case scenario has a very high probability. A study could be done involving a million people and if this question were to be raised, I would guess that 99.9% of the time you would probably get the same answer, "they would play their second string."

What is happening while we are being told that Mitt Romney has two minutes left in the game and he is 1,000 points ahead? (Actually we are being told the game is over) The RNC, the mainstream media, the Romney camp, is sending in ALL the reinforcements. How does this make any sense?

If this were true we would not be getting amped up security, electronic voting machines, and more disenfranchised delegates at every single turn.

Why is this happening? Because it is a lie!

    Delegates,
They are obviously afraid. Please go to Tampa, vote for our platforms, and vote for Dr. Paul. AND please keep working at those undecided delegates.
