Repeal & Replace The ‘Presumptive Nominee’ – Converting Delegates Is Not A Zero-Sum Game

If a ‘presumptive nominee’ cannot get enough votes at a convention to win the nomination of a primary he has already ‘won’ then there is no way his campaign can credibly continue. Furthermore thereal2012delegatecount lists his leaners as 419. If Willard Romney is defeated on the first ballot, he is defeated; and in absence of a single monolithic non-Paul alternative, Ron Paul has the advantage from then on.

I believe that subsequent to the first ballot, Ron Paul has the best support, enthusiasm, and organization to win. With that said, if Ron Paul has a “plurality” in only 6 states (maybe a few more), the delegates supporting him will not be able to prevent Willard Romney from being nominated on the first ballot.

There are just shy of 6 weeks until Convention. During this time there will be no headlines of an ongoing nomination process; but there can be.

Converting delegates is not a zero sum game. Non-Paul delegates do not need to become Ron Paul delegates yet. Put differently, they do not need to be convinced that Ron Paul is the best choice (yet); they just need to accept the truth that nominating Willard Romney is forfeiting.

I propose attempting to catalyze a groundswell of popular support to nominate somebody other than Willard Romney at Convention; which, with Ron Paul’s support in delegates, will hopefully be Ron Paul.

The past month is replete with ‘gaffs’ and ‘disappointments’ from Willard Romney and his campaign. When informed that delegates are free to nominate somebody other than a primary ‘winner’, coupled with surveys demonstrating support for nominating somebody other than Willard Romney; every time somebody says to herself ‘I wish our candidate was better’ she may instead say ‘I hope we nominate somebody else’.

I have previously posted looking to gain support to commission a survey of support among Republicans and leaners to nominate somebody other than Willard Romney at Convention.

If nothing else, I suggest that if delegates cannot be convinced to support Ron Paul, convincing them to not support Willard Romney may make the difference on the floor

Washoe County GOP files paperwork to become independent from state party

The Washoe County Republican Party in Northern Nevada is free to raise and spend money without any control from the Nevada Republican Party after filing formal separation paperwork with the Federal Election Commission, the head of the Washoe County GOP said Tuesday.

Washoe County GOP Chairman Dave Buell said the party became a separate entity three weeks ago, filing a statement of organization with the FEC on June 25.

The goal, Buell said, is to allow donors to give the Washoe County GOP up to $10,000 directly to help pay for a voter registration drive and other efforts on behalf of Republicans during a year when the GOP is trying to retake control of the White House and the Senate.

The move also gives the Reno-area party independence and total control of its money and strategy at a time when GOP regulars don't trust the leadership of the Nevada Republican Party, which has been taken over by supporters of GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul, a congressman from Texas.

The Paul takeover of the state and Clark County GOP caused a deep rift in the party earlier this year. It also prompted the Republican National Committee and Mitt Romney's GOP presidential campaign to open separate "Team Nevada" offices statewide to lead election-year efforts.

Buell put the best face on what amounts to a legal divorce between the Washoe County and Nevada state GOP. He said he and the state party Chairman Michael McDonald discussed the move and shared dinner last Friday in Elko with other GOP leaders as part of a Romney campaign event.

"We know there are a lot of donors that are reluctant to give money to the state party," Buell said. "We just want to give them the opportunity to donate for the election. I talked with him (McDonald) and he understands what's going on and he has no issue with it. He knows we're pretty well organized up here."

McDonald is focusing his organizing efforts on Clark County, where 70 percent of the state's population lives and where Democrats prevail over Republicans.

The state and the county parties are all working with Team Nevada organizers to help defeat President Barack Obama in Nevada, Buell said. And they're working to ensure victory for U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., who is facing U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., in the hotly contested Senate race.

The Nevada Democratic Party is far better organized thanks to U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., who built it into a competitive machine to win re-election in 2010 and to help Obama win the battleground state in 2008.

The one-page letter the Washoe County GOP filed with the FEC attests that the local party "is not affiliated with the Nevada Republican State Central Committee," the governing body of the state GOP controlled by Paul supporters.

"The WCRP confirms to the Commission that it is not funded by the NRSCC; is not under the management or control of the NRSCC; and does not conduct its activity (including making contributions) in cooperation, consultation or concert with, or at the request or suggestion of the NRSCC, or any other political committee established, finaced, maintained, or controlled by the NRSCC."

The Nevada News Bureau first reported the Washoe County FEC filing Tuesday evening.

Waukesha WI – Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel today opened an investigation into the “Subs-for-Votes” scandal. Yesterday while wrapping up his Wisconsin tour the Romney Campaign bought $500 worth of Cousin’s subs to encourage the crowd to hit the polls and vote for Romney. Unfortunately for Romney there are a few things that you can’t do on election day in Wisconsin, and Rep. Paul Ryan who was arm-in-arm with with Romney throughout the ordeal neglected to tell the presidential candidate that the distribution of goods on election day is illegal

Ron Paul Revolution - Give Us Back our Constitution!

There has been a lot of debate, division and discussion concerning who and what is behind this effort to destroy our Constitutional Republic. Some would say it’s the English Crown, others blame the Zionists, others are sure it’s the Vatican while others still will claim it’s the communists who have simply revised their tactics from an external onslaught to destruction from within. Maybe it’s none of them, or maybe it’s all of them with other factors thrown in. I would assert; however, that rather than arguing over who or what is behind the planned demise of our nation, we should instead focus on the tactics that they are using to do so. Primarily it includes undermining and rendering ineffective our governing document, the United States Constitution. This document has been a thorn in the side of those who want to see this country destroyed from the day it was written.

The U.S. Constitution was the first of it’s kind. It created the first government of the people, by the people and for the people. It recognized no human King or Caesar, but instead recognized the value and rights of each individual. It sealed in both blood and ink, those rights which were to belong equally to everyone for all time - it declared to all the world that these rights were inalienable - that they were granted to us directly from our Creator and no man or government had the right to take them away. For the American people to be subdued and ultimately enslaved the Constitution had to go. It is a document which, when followed, protects ALL of us equally and no friend of freedom can ever justify it’s destruction!

The Ron Paul Revolution is made up of a very diverse group of people. It includes people from all walks of life: young, old, Jewish, Christian, Atheist, Agnostics...pretty much any label you can come up with can be found represented somewhere within this movement. We may not agree on a lot of things, but if we can stand united on just one thing, it must be defending our governing document, the United States Constitution. We must all demand in one united voice that the oaths taken by all of our public officials and armed forces to “protect and defend the United States Constitution, from all enemies, both foreign and DOMESTIC” be upheld. We must also refuse to give our support to any individual running for any office that does not have protecting and defending the U.S. Constitution as their primary goal. Ever. I don’t care what other label they attach to themselves, Constitutionalist must be one of them. This document protects ALL of us equally and any individual who wishes to subvert it, ignore it, or change it in a manner not prescribed by the Constitution itself, is an ENEMY of freedom.

To effectively do this; however, we must all first have read the Constitution THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION - We the People and know what it says and what it means. I am not talking about the long process of going through all the convoluted court cases that the Supreme Court has dished out, especially over the past 60+ years (simply because the high court itself has been infiltrated, to a worse and worse extent by the very people who wish to see it destroyed). I am talking about studying the document itself, in the plain English as it was written and all of it’s properly ratified Amendments (although the 16th & 17th Amendments require further discussion at a later date). It really is not very hard to understand because our founding fathers purposely wrote it in a simple language that the average person could understand.

If after you have read it, you have questions, try looking at the Federalist Papers which will give you a lot of the intent and reasoning behind what ultimately became The Constitution. Also, it is extremely helpful to read the words of the people themselves who played a crucial role in shaping this document:. A good place to start would be with James Madison, (who is often referred to as the “father of the Constitution”); Thomas Jefferson, the author of our Declaration of Independence and George Washington, our greatest General and first President. Also, I don’t suggest picking up and reading any random biography of these great men, because biographies are subject to the whims and interpretations of the authors who wrote them. I would stick to reading the words themselves of these people, by their own hand. You can find a number of different collections from the Library of Congress and Amazon carries many of them.

In short, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. How can we possibly protect and defend a document that we have not fully read and do not fully understand? Don’t wait for somebody else to do your work for you. Take the time to do what is necessary to familiarize yourself with this country’s founding. Again, I repeat, you MUST find the time to do this crucial research. Without it, you will be as useless at protecting your rights as the officials in DC, who also, for the most part, do not know or care what it says (except of course for Dr. Paul and probably Rand...haven’t given up hope on him just yet, but I digress....). Once you have learned it, take the time to encourage others around you to do so (starting with your own family) and to share what you’ve learned with everyone who will listen. It would even be a great idea to stop by your local representatives office with a copy of the Constitution and ask him/her if they would like a lesson on it too.

Next comes the hardest part: Once you have done your research and understand the meaning and reasons for our great Constitution, you yourself, must hold yourself accountable to the words of that document. You must no longer support, promote, defend or desire any legislation WHATSOEVER that is not authorized by it or which is in direct violation of any of it’s provisions. You also must not invent rights that are not there, specifically any “so-called” right which results in the encroachment of someone else’s rights (i.e. the “right” to healthcare, housing or any other benefits paid for by somebody else; the “right” to have any references to faith or religion removed from the public eye because you feel that it offends you, etc. etc..) RECOGNIZE the fact that you can not seek to take rights away from others without diminishing your own rights at the very same time!

There are always very persuasive arguments or reasons given to subvert this document; i.e. helping the poor, taking care of the elderly, planning for retirement, “protecting” people overseas from their oppressive dictators (like we don’t have enough of those right here at home to worry about), etc., etc..., and although some of these things are very valid concerns, most can effectively be addressed through the private sector, on a state level and/or through self accountability and whether or not they can, we MUST NOT be willing to trample our governing document for any reason, no matter how noble it may sound! It is for that very reason, that we find ourselves on the brink of destruction today. ALL of the Constitution must be upheld for it to be effective as a governing document. All of it. If any single part of it can be violated without consequence, then the entire document will ultimately be in peril and us with it (where we find ourselves today).

And this, my friends, is the one area we can and must all be UNITED on: supporting, protecting and defending the U.S. Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. The people that are trying to undermine and destroy this country (and are very close to succeeding,

I might add) are united in their desire to subvert and ultimately replace it (with something that will look more like a list of privileges that can be granted or taken away at any would be dictator’s whim). If they can destroy this document, there is NOTHING to stop them from ultimately destroying this Republic, and all of us in the process. At least nothing short of bloody, violent revolution, in which case we will all pay a very high price.....

Be patient and persistent and never lose hope! There is far too much at stake to let despair overtake you! It took the enemies of this country a very long time to bring us to the brink of disaster. It is going to take a long time to undo the damage that has been done. Brace yourself for the worst and hope for the best, as I always like to say. For those who believe, pray to God daily for His courage, guidance, help and intervention. And remember, it is not going to be easy, but what in life worth having ever is?

NOTE: Obviously the most urgent task at hand right now is getting Ron Paul nominated on August 26. All of our efforts should wisely be put to that task as well and doing everything each one of us can do to make that happen, including getting down to Tampa, if at all possible, to support him, even if you are not a delegate. The ideas I am putting forth in this article exist in conjunction with that goal and are in fact, exactly what Ron Paul has spent the last 30 years of his life trying to do. It’s high time we ALL do our part to give him a hand!

RNC Delegates This Is Your Time! Do It Now!

This is my call for sanity from all RNC delegates. Please take a pause from your daily grind or whatever it is you may be doing right now and reflect on what made you decide to do the work and invest the time in the Republican party as I have to become a delegate or elector to elect the next President. Unfortunately I did not get elected from the Texas Convention this year. Since you have,what will you do with your opportunity?

Was it a career decision or something more?

For most I would guess it was a desire to set things on a right path again for America.

Delegates, We the People of the United States are the ones who will ultimately suffer or prosper when our leaders make or break laws.

Think about the people who have campaigned for the 2012 election for local to national positions.Do you know with certainty judging by their character and their records that he or she will fulfill their Oath of Office to defend and uphold their State and US Constitutions?

The world is experiencing an economic meltdown and it will continue as our Federal Reserve bails foreign banks and governments out,borrows more from China and destroys the value of our currency with artificially low interest rates.

There are no competing currencies too. When is the last time you could go to a store and pay in gold or silver,real money?

Our military is spread thin and our vets are overworked,under paid and committing suicide at alarming rates.

Our foreign policy is a clear failure that is not paying any benefits at home.

Ladies and gentleman of the Delegation, consider the record, consider the words and experience the candidates have brought to the table.

Each one has been tested and failed to meet the confidence of the people.

Now there are only 2 possibilities for President from the Republican Party.

Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Mitt is a known liar, flip-flopper who has practiced vulture capitalism and has never held a real working man's job and has not served in the military. He is clearly unpopular even to many Party insiders.

We have had 3 Presidents in a row who have not had any legitimate, war time military experience. How has that worked out? Do we really want a Commander In Chief with zero experience with the armed forces?

We also have Ron Paul Ron has served honorably in the military during war time and has a very respectable career as an OBGYN doctor. He has also proved that he can win elections.

He has won 12 times as Congressman and has a spotless record both in word and deed by following the Constitution.

Delegates, you are NOT bound to vote for a certain candidate at the RNC. You can nominate and vote for the one who is qualified for the job and who CAN defeat the dictator Barry Soetoro aka Barrack Hussein Obama.

He is Ron Paul. This IS our last chance in the foreseeable future to elect the only one left who is able to pass the test.

Please do not curse this Nation to more of the same!
