Important Development Announced on Lawyers for Ron Paul Conference Call
Submitted by robbjerk on Mon, 08/06/2012 - 19:02
Daily Paul Liberty Forum
Dr. Paul has encouraged delegates and others who have knowledge of illegal campaigning to take legal action if available. The opportunity is here, and a ruling should come before the Republican Convention.
According to Federal law, which applies to political parties when choosing candidates for federal office, the result would be the unbinding of all delegates. This action is independent of the official Ron Paul campaign, and is joined by many who will not tolerate illegal and under-handed tactics, feel that already established federal law is in their favor, feel they have a very strong case, and are fighting to take the party and our country back by legal and attainable means.
Here is the conference call in a three part video:
Part 1: We the People's Mutiny! (PT 1) - YouTube
Part 2: We the People's Mutiny! (PT 2) - YouTube
Part 3: We the People's Mutiny! (PT 3) - YouTube

Note: Some of the sites included in the last link were mentioned on the call, but will not be up until two or three days

Economic Collapse of Russia 1990s - interviewing Serguei Vorojtsov

This is an excellent interview of a man named Serguei Vorojtsov, who details his experiences and understanding of the Russian Economic Collapse of the 1990s. I wanted to share this video because of all of the parallels that can be drawn with modern day America, and the dollar disaster we are about to face. (Though our collapse will be of American proportions...)

AFP: "Can GOP Dump Romney and Nominate Ron Paul?"

Ron Paul 2012
Quicklink
By Michael Collins Piper
Regular contributor to the American Free Press
"Because there are real doubts that presumed GOP nominee Mitt Romney has what it takes to displace the current White House occupant in the general election, there are some Republicans who have a message for the delegates to the forthcoming GOP National Convention: Dump Romney and nominate Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas).
In stark contrast to outspoken populist Paul, whose integrity is undoubted, whose finances and business affairs are an open book and whose political message has been consistent, Romney can’t shake the image of being an out-of-touch elitist who flip-flops on the issues and whose business affairs seem sordid and un-American.
Paul supporters are also conscious of the danger a Romney presidency would pose to the future of the burgeoning “Ron Paul movement” (RPM) that emerged during the past four years. As president, Romney would be in absolute control of the Republican Party national apparatus and would assuredly do everything in his power to quash any efforts by the RPM to expand its influence in GOP ranks. Romney is a fervent globalist whose allies in high places despise and fear the nationalist, non-interventionist sentiments of Paul and his supporters"

Believe it. As long as a win is possible, we will not waver. The official Ron Paul campaign is involved with delegation challenges in OR, MA, ME, and LA. Spread the word. It is possible, and the only way to beat Obama, in my opinion.

Why Jenna Jameson endorsed Romney
Submitted by Ian56 on Sun, 08/05/2012 - 23:28
Daily Paul Liberty Forum
Sums up Romney brilliantly.
NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Concerned that her endorsement of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney for President would lead to “cheap, easy jokes and innuendo,” porn star Jenna Jameson held a press conference today to explain her headline-making decision.
When asked what initially appealed to her about Mr. Romney, Ms. Jameson said, “He’s the only person who’s assumed more positions than I have.”
The actress said that she researched Mr. Romney’s career thoroughly, and was particularly impressed by his tenure at Bain Capital: “There’s nothing more American, I think, than screwing people you don’t know for money.”

Jenna Jameson Clarifies Her Endorsement of Romney
Posted by Andy Borowitz
While Mr. Romney’s recent foreign trip drew jeers from his critics, Ms. Jameson hailed his performance: “I respect someone who opens their mouth without thinking.”
The actress, who appeared as the character Holly So Tightly in the film Dirt Merchant, seemed unconcerned by the controversy swirling about Mr. Romney’s bank accounts in Switzerland and the Caymans: “I’ve put my assets in plenty of foreign places.”
Ms. Jameson concluded her presser by reiterating her fulsome support of the G.O.P. candidate: “Mitt Romney will do to all of America what I have already done to half of America.”

Ben Swann Maine Delegate Story Update - 08/07/2012
Submitted by Furious Primate on Tue, 08/07/2012 - 15:58
Delegates
From his Facebook page...
HUGE DEVELOPING STORY:
I've told you for months about the GOP establishment's efforts to control the Republican National Convention...
here is more unbelievable proof of how far they are willing to go. In the state of Maine, it is well documented that 21 of the 24 delegates are strong supporters of Congressman Ron Paul. Those 21 delegates plan to go to Tampa later this month and cast a vote for Dr. Paul to receive the nomination.
A little over a week ago, 20 of those 21 delegates were told that their credentials were being challenged by Mr. Peter Cianchette (who headed the Romney campaign in Maine). The grounds for the challenge... that 20 of these 21 delegates were illegally elected to represent Maine. As a result, the RNC planned to not seat the entire Maine delegation at the RNC in Tampa.
Now, here is where it gets really interesting. This weekend, the RNC, via Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster offered a "compromise"... take a look:1. A majority of the delegates sign a statement agreeing that, if Ron Paul is not on the ballot, they will vote at the Convention for Mitt Romney. For now, you can read the official response from the Maine delegation to the RNC "Compromise" here: Just scroll to the bottom to read the PDF's for yourself.
2. Instead of Brent Tweed, Charlie Webster or Paul LePage would serve as the spokesperson for the delegation and announce the votes cast for president. That spokesperson would also handle all media on behalf of the Maine delegation.
3. There will be nothing negative said about Mitt Romney or positive said about Obama (especially to media)
4. The Delegation will be admitted to the Convention, and to all committee assignments, without barrier.
5. The Contest brought by Jan Staples and Peter Cianchette will be withdrawn
Tonight at 10:00 PM.. Reality Check is going to break down all the details of this.. as well as two unrelated efforts to block Gov. Romney from receiving the Republican nomination.

Wages aren't just stagnating they are plummeting

Average wages have declined or been stagnant since 1970.
Time to take America back to before then. Time to take America BACK to what made it GREAT.

School system borrows 105 million, will pay 877 million in interest
Submitted by bytejockey on Tue, 08/07/2012 - 09:31
Current Events
With advice from an Orange County financial consultant, the district borrowed the money over 40 years in a controversial loan called a capital appreciation bond. The key point for the district: It won’t make any payments on the debt for 20 years.
The bottom line: For borrowing $105 million in 2011, taxpayers will end up paying investors more than $981 million by 2051, or almost 10 times what the district borrowed. That’s wildly more expensive than a typical school bond, in which a district pays back two or maybe three times what it borrowed.
As well as being expensive, capital appreciation bonds work by tapping future growth in property values to pay today’s debts, a concept considered by many in the school bond business to be both risky and inequitable. In 1994, the state of Michigan banned school districts from issuing bonds like this, deeming them too toxic to taxpayers.
