2 Illegals Arrested After Killing 18-Year-Old Female Air Force Academy Candidate in Jet Ski Hit and Run

Two illegal aliens have been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run death of 18-year-old Ava Moore, an incoming US Air Force Academy cadet who was set to begin basic training this June.

Ava Moore was killed while kayaking on Sunday when the 21-year-old illegal alien ran her over with a jet ski and fled the scene.

Authorities say the two entered the country illegally in 2023 and 2024.

Police say 21-year-old Daikerlyn Alejandra Gonzalez Gonzalez struck Moore with her jet ski, then fled the scene in a vehicle w/ another Venezuelan illegal alien, 21-year-old Maikel Coello Perozo, and they hit another car while fleeing.

Both have now been arrested by TX authorities, and a press conference will be held tomorrow morning by Texas Game Wardens, Grapevine PD, & Homeland Security Investigations.

Moore had reportedly just finished prep school and accepted a coveted slot in the US Air Force Academy’s class of 2019.

Per NBC DFW:

After 10 months in Colorado Springs attending the US Air Force Academy Preparatory School, Moore graduated on May 19 and recently accepted an appointment to join the US Air Force Academy as a member of the Class of 2029.

“We lost an exemplary teammate this weekend–Cadet Candidate Ava Moore, whose passion for leadership and service left an impact on everyone she met. Ava’s constant happiness and attitude helped her squadron get through the challenges of the Prep School, and her drive to excel was on display as she sought out leadership positions to improve herself and her team,” said Lt. Gen. Tony Bauernfeind, U.S. Air Force Academy superintendent. “Our team is focused on providing support to Ava’s family, her Prep School Squadron, the Prep School Women’s Basketball team, and the entire Academy family.”

Moore was an accomplished basketball player, beloved by her teammates and coaches, who are now left heartbroken and in disbelief.
