5 Reasons Trump Voters Should NOT Go to the Inauguration

I sincerely hope to be wrong about this, but I believe that Donald J. Trump beckoning his supporters to come to DC again on Jan 19-20, 2025, is a sign that bodes ill for the future.

My text messages and emails are filled with "Join President Trump on January 19th for his EPIC victory rally! Help make this the largest rally crowd in history? Donald J Trump wants you at his swearing-in ceremony. We need YOU in Washington for the BIGGEST RALLY YET!"

I believe it is very unwise for Trump voters, Republicans, or conservatives of any stripe to gather in groups with publicized times and locations in that "wretched hive of scum and villainy" called Washington, DC, where they will be in danger from federal and city agents and employees and violent left-wing zealots converging on the city!

There is no way I would ask anyone I cared about to expose themself to this expensive and unnecessary risk especially after the Jan 6 trap!

I attended Trump's first inauguration and if I had been anywhere inside the DC city limits on Jan 6, 2020 Id still be in a damp jail cell to this day for jay walking.

Trump supporters who went to the last Trump rally in DC ended up fired from their jobs, dead (Ashli Babbitt), held indefinitely without trial, or sent to prison for 18 years (Stuart Rhodes of Oath Keepers)!

I'd hoped Trump would make his second inauguration a small, secured ceremony that is broadcast for people to see from home, immediately enter the Oval Office, and get to work on America's critical needs.

Why would Trump ask his supporters to incur such unnecessary and extravagant expenses and levels of risk to their lives and freedoms by walking into another DC trap (again)?

Here are my thoughts on the matter and why I'm concerned about the 2025 inauguration.

1. It seems to me if Trump truly cares about his supporters, he would not beckon them to return to DC, considering the current terrorism and political violence threat levels and what happened to many of his supporters who lost jobs and freedom after coming to DC at his request on Jan. 6, 2020.

Trump has no control over the DC and federal agencies that are filled with smart, armed, dangerous Democrat appointees and employees who HATE TRUMP SUPPORTERS. Any Trump voter, conservative, Republican, or opponent of globalists and socialists traveling to DC would be more secure keeping their identity and itinerary private, not packing a stadium for a rally and attending well-advertised events.

Federal and DC employees who control DC cannot be counted on to protect Trump and his voters and may be hazardous to Trump and his supporters.

2. Now is neither the time for celebration nor to rub Trump's win in the face of Democrats. The situation in America is too dire, unstable, and dangerous for celebratory rallies and extravagant balls. Victory laps and rallies will add to the divisiveness and discomfort of US citizens. Now is the time for hard work, not parties.

3. DC is too expensive. Hotel, travel, and food costs (on top of fees for inauguration events and the high-end clothing needed) are through the roof, on top of the inflationary economy we are all suffering under. It is likely that more than half of Americans who are too far to make a day trip to DC can't or should not afford a celebratory trip to DC. Priceline currently shows DC hotel rooms for two adults for $600-$1,000+ per night!

4. DC does not deserve our money. Ninety percent of the voters in Washington, DC, voted for Kamala Harris, and only 6% voted for Trump! The January 6 demonstrators and the Covington High School kids are just the tip of the iceberg of Americans who have been abused in that city.

5. Considering the terror attacks, political attacks, multiple assassination attempts, and online calls by leftists to converge on DC during the inauguration, President-elect Donald Trump and VP JD Vance should not be exposing themselves to advertised times, locations, and crowds to give any terrorists & assassins opportunities. Trump and Vance should not be risking exposure and should be focused on securely taking office and controlling the weaponized DC-based agencies immediately.

If you are going to the DC inauguration, please take every step you can to stay safe and have a plan to get out of Dodge fast if needed.

I pray that Trump supporters are able to walk into what may be another DC trap and return home unscathed, but whether anything criminal happens or not during the inauguration, it bodes ill with me that Trump voters are being beckoned to DC for January 19 and 20, 2025 celebrations that I feel create grave and avoidable risks for both attendees and the new Trump administration.

Our national security situation is far too compromised, and our position is too precarious for extravagant, risky rallies and parties...

I supported and voted for what Donald Trump has promised to do for America (twice) by deporting 20 million illegals, and I don't want to see anything derail or stop that from happening.
