ALIPAC Calls for Mitt Romney To Respond To Obama's Executive Decree Amnesty

ALIPAC Calls for Mitt Romney To Respond To Obama's Executive Decree Amnesty

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is calling for Mitt Romney (857-288-3500) to release his statement regarding Barack Obama's executive decree Dream Act Amnesty announcement today since Romney has remained silent on this story of national importance.

"Mitt Romney's silence today is deafening!" said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "Romney has promised voters he would veto the Dream Act, will push illegal aliens out of America through increased immigration enforcement, and will turn off illegal immigration magnets. Obama just bypassed Congress, our existing laws, the elections, and the US Constitution to contradict everything Romney promised. Where is Mitt Romney on Obama's historic and nation shaking actions today?"

A Wall Street Journal online poll is indicating 66% public opposition to Obama's Amnesty announcement.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC believes that American voters need leaders who take on tough issues head on. Today's announcement by Obama is unprecedented in American history. Some have suggested that despite his tough rhetoric about illegal immigration, Mitt Romney serves the same Council on Foreign Relations and Goldman Sachs masters as Obama, and thus would eventually have an identical agenda regarding illegal immigration.

"Mitt Romney needs to come out and oppose both Obama's Dream Act Amnesty and Obama's use of dictatorial powers to overthrow the functions of the Congress and the American Republic," said William Gheen in a second release Friday afternoon. "Otherwise, Mitt Romney's silence will suggest acquiescence to both!"

Members of the America media, talk radios shows, and bloggers are encouraged to immediately confront the Romney campaign on this issue.

Wow! The Mitt Romney campaign put out a release right after we did this!

I sent message into Romney's office that we were putting this release out about ten minutes before 4pm. I asked them to let us know if anything had been put out.

Then our release started rolling out around 4:10pm

Then we get this at 4:22 via the Associated Press

    --------------

Romney says Obama’s immigration decision will complicate efforts to solve larger policy issue

By Associated Press, Friday, June 15, 4:22 PM
MILFORD, N.H. — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says President Barack Obama’s decision to stop deporting some younger illegal immigrants will make it harder to solve the country’s larger immigration problems. He did not say he would reverse the decision if elected.

Romney said Friday that that the plight of illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children is “an important matter to be considered.” But he said Obama’s decision will make finding a long-term solution more difficult.

During the Republican presidential primaries, Romney said he would veto the so-called DREAM Act that would have provided a pathway to citizenship for young illegal immigrants who went to college or served in the military.
Obama announced the change in immigration policy on Friday at the White House.

49 minutes ago before ALIPAC's release went out, we saw this...

Mitt Romney Plans To Completely Ignore Obama's New Immigration Policy

    by Grace Wyler

    Business Insider

Leading Republicans and cable news pundits are already dismissing President Obama's surprise immigration policy shift as simple election year politics, designed, in part, to back Republican nominee Mitt Romney into a corner on the issue of immigration reform. But the Romney campaign appears determined not to let the President force their hand.
“The Governor’s going to focus very intently on the issue of the economy,” Romney senior advisor Kevin Madden told MSNBC’s Chris Cilliza this afternoon. “I think the message that he has to Latino voters, Hispanic voters, will be related to what he can do to put the country on the right track and how it can help, how it will help folks who want more opportunity in this country.”
Reporters following Romney's swing state bus tour today have so far been unable to get any reaction to the President's announcement from the candidate or his staff. The campaign did not respond to Business Insider's request for comment.
Romney, who has came under fire for taking some fairly extreme immigration positions during the Republican primaries, has not unveiled any details about his immigration policy since the general election began. In recent meetings with Latino voters, Romney has mostly stuck to his standard stump speech on the economy, and rarely, if ever, mentions the immigration issue.
This strategy could have some merit, as polls routinely suggest that Latino voters care more about the economic issues than they care about immigration. Still, immigration reform is a central issue for Latino activists, who hold the keys to the kingdom when it comes to mobilizing Latino voters.

Romney is responding to Obama's executive decree amnesty with some "long term solution" to illegal immigration he has never discussed openly with the American public.

It speaks to the influence of ALIPAC that Mitt Romney responded so quickly to our release challenging him. In fact we simply exploited a glaring weakness in the script of this political theater. Those controlling this show knew the power of the question if anyone had asked it as we did.

The disappointing thing is that it sounds like Mitt Romney is agreeing with Obama and Rubio and that his criticism of Obama is that his executive decree does not last long enough!

You can bet that the CFR soldiers and Janet and DHS and a lot of very big political guns are paying attention to us right now. They have stuck this in the faces of Americans and they have their electronic search lights on tonight I guarantee ya.

WilliamG, he has to agree...cause Obama dropped the big bomb "amnesty" for "votes" so dictator Obama is a shoe-in for the Presidency. See Obama made an off the record comment that he will be president again one way or another evan if he "steals" the election...he is not finished destroying and weakening America. If he is re-elected, I would not be surprised that he throws out the Constitution of the US and replace it with a dictatorship type of government...Glenn Becks prediction of a serfdom type of economic and governmental system may just happen.
