ALIPAC Issues Warning and Advisory on DC March for Jobs

    Friends of ALIPAC,

ALIPAC DOES NOT ENDORSE NOR DO WE SUPPORT NOR WILL WE BE ATTENDING THE DC MARCH FOR JOBS. WE DO ISSUE AN ADVISORY THAT WE HAVE LOOKED INTO THE DC BASED GROUPS BEHIND THIS EVENT AND ATTEMPTED TO WORK WITH THEM IN GOOD FAITH, BUT HAVE EXPERIENCED SEVERE DIFFICULTIES, SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM THE DC BASED PEOPLE INVOLVED, AND ENCOUNTERED NUMEROUS MISLEADING and FALSE STATEMENTS. THESE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCES COMBINED WITH THE LEGACY OF WELL FINANCED DC OPERATIVES SEEKING TO MISLEAD MOVEMENTS OF THE PAST LEADS US TO ISSUE AN ADVISORY WARNING TO ALL TO BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT DEALINGS WITH DC MARCH FOR JOBS, PROGRESSIVES FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM, and the BLACK AMERICAN LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE. Our Advisory does not extend to the activists, lawmakers, and media leaders that have been approached by these new well financed DC based groups specifically listed in this alert. ----

We would like to thank everyone who helped with our recent funds drive once again. Your commitment to our cause means a lot to us, and we will be working hard to make every day count as we fight against the Obama backed nation destroying "immigration reform" bill that is very likely to pass Congress in 2013!

For those of you who have recently joined, please remember that ALIPAC has been fighting on your behalf for almost 9 years. We have led the largest coalition efforts in the history of the "secure borders" movement, and we represent the third largest national organization on this issue. Our archives of information at www.ALIPAC.us are the largest collection of information about the negative consequences of illegal immigration in America in existence!

ALIPAC Is Not Supporting the "DC March for Jobs"

We correctly mentioned in an earlier e-mail that we had been invited to speak at the July 15 "DC March for Jobs" that is being organized by a new group called the Black American Leadership Alliance. Many activists and group leaders we have worked with before are getting on board with this march and many joined after ALIPAC put out a positive mention of this event in an earlier email.

As of today, we have been invited to speak at this event twice and our invitation to speak has been rescinded twice! We have discovered a lot of conflicting and disturbing information coming out of the Washington, DC, based leadership on this march which appears to include people who have never appeared on our radar before now despite our intensive work and cooperation on this issue for 9 years. In fact, we have recently been informed that this group is purposely trying to avoid any of the well established groups to create a new front against the amnesty bill. This is part of the last message we received in the e-mail rescinding our second invitation to speak...

"Given our goal of orchestrating an event outside of the more well established groups in the movement, our plan will be to recognize from the podium any VIP leaders in the movement who are in attendance. We plan to point to these folks in the crowd, thank them for their past and future contributions, and to ask for a round of applause for their long-standing leadership on the immigration issue. My goal will be to put forth the concept that the Black American Leadership Alliance is an emerging group of voices that have come together to stand up and be heard from. I would like to personally invite you to the rally to be among that VIP crowd recognized from the podium, rather than make a presentation. I apologize for this change of plan but the approach of creating an organic event outside the regular movement has always been the purpose of this event." (Entire Email available upon request)

This e-mail was received Sunday, July 7, from Leah Durant of "Progressives for Immigration Reform."

While we have not determined where all of this money is coming from to promote the DC March for Jobs under the leadership of Leah Durant, we have learned that Leah Durant's husband is a current employee of Eric Holder and Barack Obama's US Department of Justice.

Of interesting note, none of the other activists and leaders I have spoken to can recall being told that the purpose of this event was to create something 'organic' outside of the existing main groups fighting against amnesty prior to this email we are releasing.

This new information explaining why no tried, true, and trusted illegal immigration and amnesty fighting groups are currently on the speaking roster is very concerning to us, especially with the acute amount of conflicting information we have received from these organizers. We have even heard disparaging comments from the DC based leaders on this March directed at other leaders and activists whom we have seen working hard against amnesty before these new groups and events emerged.

We urge everyone to be very very cautious about new Washington, DC, based "leadership" on this issue. Right now, a lot of people want to be supportive of a DC March and minority involvement in the issue because, on the surface, that sounds great. It sounds just like what the vast majority of us support! Using things that the elites know we support is a core strategy of theirs to pass amnesty in 2013.

But let us be honest here. We have all been lied to and betrayed on a regular basis regarding this push for Amnesty for illegal aliens. The elites are in a well financed, well planned position and they have made it clear they will use any underhanded or deceptive tactic they feel is necessary to pass this bill. Just look into the front group "Americans for a Conservative Direction," funded by liberal Democrats in Silicone Valley that are spending more than 4 million dollars running deceptive ads claiming that S. 744 is simply an border enforcement bill, to understand how organized the efforts to mislead all Americans are at this time!

In the case of the Tea Party movement, a few well funded and organized DC based groups quickly moved to place themselves at the head of the Tea Party parade and invited everyone to DC and paid for the travel, lodging, and meals of key leaders they sought to woo to their organizations. In the end we discovered that many of these groups like traitor Grover Norquist's "Americans for Tax Reform" and Dick Armey's "FreedomWorks" all support amnesty for illegal aliens despite the fact more than 90% of the Tea Party supporters do not!

And what we see happening today around the DC March for Jobs has an eerily similar flavor to it. New leaders are emerging and inviting in activists and groups from the amnesty fighting movement while being careful to skirt the major trusted groups on this issue.

They are offering to pay for buses to transport people to DC and travel and lodging costs for their guest speakers. Of important note, ALIPAC turned down offers to pay for anything for us when these offers were made to us twice!

Of course, when we caution you against new DC groups spending large sums of money to "organize" you, we of course do not mean the well established groups like NumbersUSA that have proven they are on the side of the public on these issues.

While each of you can make up your own minds about this "DC March for Jobs" on July 15, 2013, please make note that this event does not rise to the standards of ALIPAC's approval, support, or endorsement.

Sorry to have to share the bad news folks, but we feel it is best considering the circumstances.

    Sincerely,

William Gheen and The ALIPAC Team

What is going on with this? I thought ALIPAC was against illegal immigration! Sounds to me like some personal jealousy or envy or something going on here. Site point; Someone needs to research before posting this on the Internet. Leah Durant's husband was hired by " PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN AND A.G. ED MEESE"! Yes the man has been at the Justice Department as a staff attorney for some 30 years or more. He has seen Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43 go and now is under Obama. So? If this organization is truly not going to support this rally, then something is wrong. When you have Col. Allen West, Sen. Ted Cruz, Congressman Steve King, Congressman Mo Brooks and many African American conservative activist all on the same stage preaching about how bad this S744 is, then what is the problem. It truly doesn't matter who is holding the rally or where the money comes from, the point is " the rally is being held and people are trying to stop a bad bill". Again; I ask, what is the problem with that?

Welcome 'Rabid Conservative' what an interesting name you have! Thanks for the info about Leah Durant's husband working for the Justice Department. We sent Mrs. Durant an email inquiring about the details of his employment with Eric Holder several days ago and received no response.

No, ALIPAC is not supporting this march because while the DC Based organizers of this march are saying things we all want to hear about opposing amnesty and getting more minorities involved and while they are greasing the wheel with a lot of money of unknown origins, these organizers do not rise to our standard of quality for an event we would support.

It is not just that they are disorganized, it is that we have been lied to by them several times and ALIPAC does not work with liars.

Also, the revelation that the newly created Black American Leadership Alliance (BALA) has intended all along to not include or work with the existing groups that have proven track records defeating amnesty legislation is of concern. Those dc based organizers are making an intentional effort to avoid and bypass groups that the public has come to trust on this issue.

The numerous lies, combined with this overtly suspicious behavior, combined with the distraction and difficulty the organizers caused ALIPAC with their repeated approaches asking us for help then rescinding offers to speak leads up to have to put out a notice clarifying this event is not supported by us.

We certainly were NOT going to put out an email to our extensive communications networks we have been building for 9 years that contained false information we were given by March for Jobs organizers and not send out a correction when we were informed otherwise.

So if you have a complaint about ALIPAC's advisory, you would be better served at directing it at BALA because anytime anyone misleads ALIPAC, lies to us, or engages in suspicious or integrity lacking behavior, and tries to trick us.... we are going to put it out there in a big way.

    Thanks for reading and posting.

For those of you supporting the DC March for Jobs we had to put an advisory out because we were lied to by event organizers on several occassions when they started asking us to circulate information about this march to our networks.

At first, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and put some info out as they requested of us. But then they put us in a position where we had put out false or changed information. When we told them we would have to issue a correction, they contacted us back and lied to us a second time.

When we discovered we were lied to a second time by Leah Durant, our 'correction' turned into this advisory you see above.

If you have a concern about ALIPAC telling our networks the truth about our experiences with BALA and the March for DC, then this organization is just not for you.

We believe that the truth is the only strong weapon we have against the liars in DC.

We have seen the truth prevail in many David and Goliath political matches.

We have taken heat before for putting out truthful information that some people in our movement preferred us to conceal because it tarnished some event they wanted to attend or speak at.

While we would have preferred to have had nothing to do with this march at all at this point, this chain of events was set in motion by BALA and March for Jobs supporters and the lies that were told which necessitated our response.

Please make sure that everyone is aware that ALIPAC stands ready to work with and support any racially inclusive, peaceful, and political groups fighting against amnesty and illegal immigration. We have demonstrated that many many times over the last 9 years.

But if you lie to us, mistreat us, or unfortunately trick or cause us to distribute information that is false or that changes inappropriately we will not just bit the bullet.

In this case we were told some things to illicit our participation and endorsement, we gave that and then the rug was pulled. When we made it clear we would have to issue a correction, we were contacted a second time and lied to a second time leading to this advisory.

At no time has ALIPAC contacted the DC March for Jobs leadership except our one call to Leah Durant in response to the first lie to try to clarify what was happening. DC March for Jobs contacted us twice and misled us twice in an attempt to get us to use our networks and supporters to strengthen their event. This would have been fine if they had simply told us the truth, but that is not what we experienced.

If people are going to march on Washington, our ALIPAC supporters deserve to know what we know and to know if the event has our endorsement or not.

In this case it does not and having Ted Cruz or anyone else speak does not change that.

Update: We have been advised that several group leaders and activists that were arranging buses for this march have decided not to participate after reading ALIPAC's advisory. We are also advised that some of the DC March for Jobs are angry and blaming ALIPAC for this loss of support. Our response is that the blame belongs to the DC March for Jobs organizers that lied to us and put us in a position where we put out false information to our networks based on their statements and actions. Instead of allowing the false information to remain out there, we corrected it and made it clear to all we were not attending, supporting, or endorsing this march and why. If anyone is angry, place the blame where it belongs and not on those of us that are strict about telling our supporters the truth about our positions and what is going on. If the DC March for Jobs had wanted ALIPAC's endorsement or participation, all they had to do was tell us the truth and treat us with the respect we deserve and we would have been more than happy to assist them. But that is not the way they chose to act in these matters and that is why this advisory has been issued and that is why many activists and leaders that respect ALIPAC's positions on these matters have withdrawn or foregone support.
