Thanks for all the welcomes.... We are going to have to band together if we are going to stop the illegal issue.

And this is why the publicy is so useful. The more people who hear about the groups fighting the illegals, the larger our memberships get.

Most court houses have public notice boards. Pin a flier up there!

    Facial recognition

Seeing as how more and more of our major cities are implementing camera surveillance in high crime or high density areas and communities, and apparently such programs have already passed constitutional tests, how would opposition to REAL ID stop any of this? Indeed, England and Europe pioneered the use of surveillance in fighting crime in their major cities, and it's my surmise that some of the best "European Vacation pictures" anyone will ever see are those taken by the numerous hidden cameras in London, Paris and Madrid. Daily I see more stop light and roadway surveillance cameras in the Dallas area. Even if we were to overturn the REAL ID legislation and deny the government use of facial recognition technology, what would prevent private companies from establishing their own "for profit" systems, much like the numerous credit reporting companies that invade our every transaction? Some of these credit card companies already use a sort of biometric device in that they carry a photo of the consumer, how would we roll this back. I'm, sure the argument could be raised that Citizens could litigate against companies that invade their privacy and take their picture against their will, but given the finances of these monolithic corporations and the interests of banks, credit card service providers, etc.... the chances of a Citizen prevailing are marginal. The argument against DNA testing and it's widespread usage is that rather than actually solving most crimes, it only provides a much larger pool of "people of interest" who's lives and actions would be opened to invasive scrutiny. Imagine that a violent crime happens in a restaurant or bar, or a hotel you visited. The fact that your DNA might make you a suspect, or at least allow your privacy to be invaded is a truly disturbing misuse of technology. Equally disturbing is that "camera's" would be allowed to "profile" citizens going about their business, and make them a "person of Interest". If anything, one would think that the use of biometrics with respect to immigrants, and only immigrants, would be preferable to constant surveillance of America's Citizens? In fact wasn't that the original point for legislating the REAL ID act? We already stipulate to using standard federal government approved forms in virtually every transaction we make. Whether registering for school, voting, building permits, credit card applications, medical or health services, all are required to meet federal guidelines. How would requiring "uniform drivers licenses" be any different? Law enforcement in other states can readily obtain necessary information to do quite an invasive scrutiny of anyone, based on the information from any existing drivers license. How would a uniform format for drivers licenses make this any less dangerous or invasive? Certainly people entering our country, boarding an airplane, or hauling hazardous chemicals, or operating in secure government facilities should be required to identify themselves sufficiently. But the mundane day to day transactions we all encounter would seldom if ever benefit from biometrics. As for being able to track us day and night, why not just leave your drivers license at home when you go out, and simply use cash for purchases?

Denying the government access to this technology doesn't mean that we are any more free or safe from intrusive surveillance and monitoring, as private companies would doubtless fill any void that the government doesn't. Anyone truly concerned about invasive privacy intrusions probably shouldn't carry credit cards, apply for mortgages, put their children in schools, or get involved with community service organizations or political parties. Would our government abuse it's power? Definitely! Has our government abused it's power? Absolutely! Would denying our government the technology to use biometrics make our privacy any more secure? Absolutely not! What is missing in all of this "soviet era, number of the beast, 1984 outrage and indignation is a clear, workable, alternative to REAL ID that would likely pass muster with the supreme court! Rather than all of us ranting against what is and what we won't accept, we should be focussed on alternatives that could work and that we can accept.

Companies do not have the power and authorization to demand that we submit our biometric information.

    The Government does.

Knowledge is power and they want absolute knowledge/power.

And if you give that to them, all future complaints you have or concerns you have will be nullified by the absolute power you face.

This system creates an electronic omnipresence.

There is room for only one omnipresence in my life and it is not Michael Chertoff or his successors.

When this technology deployment was originally discovered prior to 9/11, the backlash took the system down and Congress yanked funding.

After 9/11, they rolled it out again without resistance.

Now that more people know about it, people are fighting back against Real ID in many states.

It is my personal belief, that the real intention of this system is to make sure each of us continues to pay pay pay pay as the economics of this country collapse due to our debt structure.

Everyone can see that the name of the game with the US Government is PAY MORE FOR LESS!

There will come a point where Americans will be so strapped, that paying the 30,000 plus each of us owes combined with the half a million dollars in future entitlements we owe becomes very painful to us all.

With Big Brother Biometric in place and a Consumption Based Tax, each of you will be unable to escape the all powerful watching eye.

Each of you will pay pay pay or you will not eat, work, or have shelter.

The elite banking powers will make money off of you with little or no return to you.

Just like College kids that are sent credit cards that twist and turn later in life to escape the bad marks on their permanent record.

Each of you should remember the logo that was launched when this program was originally discovered in the Pentagon's TIA (Total Information Awareness) program under disgraced Admiral John Poindexter (Iran Contra Scandal Felon)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Poindexter

This is no joke. This is no Hoax. Notice the eye casts its power over America and Europe.

scientia est potentia, meaning "knowledge is power"

    Read it and weep.

It was my pleasure to see you for the first time on O'reily last night Mr. Gheen. It was a great delivery, calm and sincere, excellent interview!

It was also the first time I heard of the fliers, I LOVE IT!

I had a dream last night that I was in New Haven and it was SWARMING with illegals and all the anarchy and chaos that comes with them. I was standing away from the throngs of illegals, watching the mayor spinning in circles totally dumbfounded while I was grinning from ear to ear.
