Steps to take.

1. Please review ALIPAC's new letter to state and Federal lawmakers and craft your own message for phone calls and e-mails. Calls should be short.

Example: "I'm calling to express my opposition to the outrageous legislation called the Dream Act Amnesty, which is bill HR 1751/S 729. This bill should be called the Bad Dream Act Amnesty or the Nightmare Act! Senator/Congressman ______ represents my state of ______. Arkansas's state senate, which is majority Democrat, just defeated a bill similiar to the Dream Act by a vote of 21-23. I'm shocked that Congress would even consider a form of Amnesty for illegals like this during this economic crisis."

2. Get on the phones to both of your US Senators and each member of Congress in your state by using ALIPAC's directory. It is vital that each member of your state's congressional delegation gets a call from you followed by an e-mail or fax. In fact, it is best if you request the e-mail address or fax number to send to when you call.

3. When you have finished contacting all of your state's federal lawmakers, move on our projects in California, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, and New Jersey! Use our victory in AR to defeat the Dream Act Amnesty and the remaining dominoes in the states!
