Thread: Betrayal in NC and Hope in Texas in fight against illegals

Friends of ALIPAC,

The version of HB 36 that just passed in the NC Senate is NOT the version passed by the House. Behind closed doors, NC Senate GOP leaders gutted the E-verify bill that would have opened up tens of thousands of jobs for desperate American workers.

This bill was gutted by Senate President Phil Berger of Rockingham [919-733-5708], NC along with Senators Tom Apodaca of Hendersonville [919-733-5745], Bob Rucho from Charlotte [919-733-5655], and Harry Brown of Jacksonville [919-715-3034]. Other Senators may be involved and we are gathering information about that now.

Feel free to let those Senators know how you feel in a firm but peaceful way. Let them know you plan to support their removal from office in the 2012 elections.

More GOP Senators may be involved with this skulduggery. ALIPAC is working on a plan to remove these corrupt senators from public office by communicating what they have done directly to the voters in their districts.

Many thanks to all of you who worked so hard on NC bills this year. The good news is that our bill to end welfare for illegals, S 205, is headed to the house floor where we expect it to pass. Also, HB 36 is now going back to our friends in the House instead of the Governor's desk because the Senate changed the bill so much. Victory can still be ours!

In Texas, our bill SB 9 has passed the full senate and should be voted on in the Texas House soon. Democrats and some GOP illegal alien supporters are trying to gut this bill which would end sanctuary cities in Texas.

Please continue your calls to the Texas House in support of SB 9!

Sample Message "I am calling / writing today to ask Representative ______ to support SB 9 which would end illegal alien sanctuary cities in Texas. Many Texans have been killed or victimized in other ways by illegal immigrants who have walked in and out of Texas jails without deportation and this is due to sanctuary policies like those in Houston and Dallas. Please vote to protect American jobs, taxpayer resources, and lives by supporting and passing SB 9.
