(Raleigh, NC) The NC-based national organization ALIPAC is pleased to report that after many years of struggle, the Republicans in the North Carolina House and Senate voted today to override corrupt Democrat Governor Josh Stein's veto of HB 318! Republican state House Speaker Rep. Destin Hall tweeted the video (VIEW HERE) of the override vote on his Twitter account this afternoon before sending the bill via special messenger to the NC Senate, where they voted with a large enough majority to override Stein and Pass HB 318 into law!

This means that HB 318 becomes law despite Democrat efforts to protect illegal alien criminals who harm US citizens in North Carolina in many ways, and effectively ends Democrat Sheriff sanctuary county policies in the state.

HB 318 is titled the "Criminal Illegal Alien Enforcement Act. (VIEW/READ HERE) is "AN ACT TO MODIFY ELIGIBILITY FOR RELEASE AND REQUIRE NOTIFICATION OF
RELEASE TO IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT WHEN PRISONER IS SUBJECT TO AN IMMIGRATION DETAINER AND ADMINISTRATIVE
WARRANT."

ALIPAC President, and North Carolinian native, William Gheen spoke in favor of this measure before NC committees during prior sessions, has asked ALIPAC activists to support Rep. Hall's legislation, and issued this statement today...

"HB 318 will save many lives by detecting illegal immigrants in our jails and honoring immigration detainers on criminal illegal immigrants. This law will send a clear message to illegal immigrants that North Carolina is not the state they want to continue trespassing in, and they will receive no sanctuary from Sheriff departments. We commend Speaker Destin Hall and the Republican lawmakers in NC who voted to effectively end sanctuary counties for illegal aliens in our state today, and we admonish the Democrats like Governor Josh Stein and Roy Cooper who are more concerned with criminal invaders than the well-being of US citizens they swore to protect."
