While thankfully there have, been no deaths outside of China so far, a new case just sprang up in Orange County California and we are told that more than 60 cases are already in the US in 22 states! Our goal is to help provide rapid info that can bypass the censors and delays. Hopefully, this new strain of Coronavirus will be contained like SARS.

ONE THING WE ARE CERTAIN OF IS THAT YOU CAN EXPECT SIGNIFICANT DELAYS ON INFORMATION REACHING AMERICAN CITIZENS LIKE US. THE SITUATION ON THE GROUND IN CHINA COULD BE DAYS OR WEEKS OLD BEFORE INFO MAKES IT THROUGH THE CENSORS TO US.

-- Novel Coronavirus' transmission ability getting stronger
-- Incubation 1-14 days, infectious during incubation, sometimes without symptoms
-- China confirms 1,975 people infected, 56 dead
-- U.S. to evacuate diplomatic staff, citizens from Wuhan
-- China imposes temporary nationwide ban on sale of wildlife
-- 56 million people, including American citizens are now quarantined and cannot leave.
-- China has deployed biowarfare troops to the infected areas.
-- World Health Organization has not declared a global alert yet.
-- They believe this new disease is airborne and spread through the eyes as well as mouth and nose.
-- Current estimates are that three people are being infected on average by each person carrying the new deadly strain of coronavirus.
-- The new coronavirus appears to be carrying DNA from both bats and snakes.

If anyone is thinking of buying face masks, there is a story from JAMA that says the common medical face mask may do just as good as the N95 mask. The N95 mask which sells for about a dollar will probably sell out soon. The common medical face mask can be bought for about 10 cents.

It may sound crazy talking about masks, but no one knows how bad this epidemic is going to get. If anything, you could wear a face mask for prevention of flu. There has already been 18 deaths due to flu in the county I live in.
