Perry Booed for Supporting Tuition Benefits for Illegal Immigrants

GOP Presidential primary front runner Rick Perry will likely experience a significant drop in support after the crowd booed him tonight at the CNN and Tea Party debate during discussions of his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens, which is opposed by 81% of Americans according to numerous polls.
"Perry was the first GOP candidate that the crowd booed tonight, and they started to boo as he rationalized his support for in-state tuition for illegal aliens," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "We are about to see what we will call the 'Perry Plunge' in the polls since surveys show 81% of Americans oppose the kind of illegal immigrant support legislation he signed into law in Texas."
A recent Rasmussen Poll released on August 23, 2011 showed 81% of Americans oppose in-state tuition for illegal aliens. This poll confirms a JWP Civitas Poll run in North Carolina in 2005 that also showed 81% opposition.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC has helped to defeat in-state tuition legislation in twenty states in the last six years by simplifying the public's message in opposition to such benefits for illegal aliens.
"In-state tuition for illegal immigrants forces taxpayers to pay more in taxes to replace their own children in the limited seats in our colleges," said William Gheen. "Generations of Americans have built these universities with our taxes and tuition, and it is reprehensible that our own government would give our money to help illegal immigrants displace and replace American students in college."
Texas Governor Rick Perry contradicted himself tonight by claiming that the federal government has failed in its job to secure the border, while also maintaining that immigration matters, such as his support for the Texas Dream Act tuition legislation, is a states' rights issue.
"Rick Perry needs to understand that no wall will stop illegal immigrants from coming in when they know they can get taxpayer tuition breaks for college, free education, free health care, welfare benefits, child subsidies, food stamps, and ballot access here in America!" exclaimed William Gheen. "Rick Perry is off base with 4 out of 5 of Americans on this issue and should thus be considered by voters to be disqualified for the position as President."

Anybody notice that Rick Perry kept saying that he doesn't want them to be on the government dole??
Really Perry, what dole is that? Illegal aliens are not supposed to be collecting any dole from the government.

If they are in favor of giving tuitions away, they are for amnesty.
I heard Perry say that Texas and Mexico had a 'long-standing agreement' to do this. Perry is cut from the same thread as the Mike Huckabees and George Bushs.

Rep. Joyce Elliott, D-Little Rock, said she had already planned to file a bill granting instate status to the children of immigrants who live in Arkansas and have applied to state universities. "It’s nice to know we will have an ally in the governor’s office." (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette 1/12/05)
Huckabee calling those of us in Arkansas who opposed illegal immigration racists was par for the course.
He went so far as to suggest that a Republican legislator wasn't a good Christian for proposing a bill to prohibit spending taxpayer money to give illegal aliens benefits, saying that he drank a different kind of "Jesus juice".

TAMPA, Fla. — The Republican presidential candidates aggressively confronted Gov. Rick Perry at a debate here on Monday night and pressed him to expound upon his views on Social Security and a controversial vaccination program for teenage girls that he signed into law in Texas.

I agree, Rick Perry was saying that he rather give them turition breaks than dole. So I am saying what dole? Illegal aliens are not SUPPOSED to be on any dole. Of course tuition breaks are dole, I understand that too.

On immigration, Rick Perry takes heat for Texas DREAM Act
On immigration, Rick Perry takes heat for Texas DREAM Act
September 12, 2011, 6:55 p.m.
In a debate that's already been fiery, the temperature rose further, even a little uncomfortably, when the subject of immigration came up.
The candidates on this stage have repeatedly said they won't elaborate on their plans for dealing with the 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country until the border with Mexico is secured.
Perry, who signed a Texas version of the DREAM Act (which allows young people in the country illegally to pay in-state tuition at public colleges and universities) drew several rounds of boos when he defended the policy.
"If you've been in the state of Texas for three years, and working toward citizenship, you pay in-state tuition," said Perry. "It doesn't matter what the sound of your last name is. That's the American way."
The point, he said several times, is to allow immigrants to become "contributing members of our society, rather than be on the dole."
As he has often done, Perry reiterated this evening that he does not believe a fence along the entire border is feasible.
"The idea you're going to build a wall from Brownsville to El Paso and go left to Tijuana is not reality," said Perry to booing. "What you gotta have is boots on the ground … the aviation assets in the air. We understand and know how to secure that border, but the federal government needs to step up and do their constitutional duty and secure the border with Mexico."
Huntsman, who has tried repeatedly to get traction with sarcasm or over-the-top statements tonight, seemed to stun the audience when he said, "For Rick to say you can't secure the border is pretty much a treasonous comment. We can secure the border." (Huntsman was alluding to Perry's controversial remark that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke's policies amount to treason.)
Romney piled on Perry (a recurring theme of the evening).
"Of course we build a fence, and of course we do not give in-state tuition credits to people who have come here illegally."
And then he took the opportunity to knock Huntsman, who, while Utah governor, allowed illegal immigrants to have driver's licenses (though the documents were not to be used as a form of legal identification).
"This is the party that believes in supporting the law," Romney said to Huntsman.
Huntsman was having none of it: "We can spend all night talking about where Mitt's been on the issues and that would take forever."

So if Perry is knocking Huntsman for giving illegals driver licenses, does that mean he does not want illegal aliens to be able to drive to colleges in Texas to collect the in-state tuition benefits he gave them?
Am I confused or is Rick Perry just completely full of it?
