What Lou Dobbs is doing is nothing more than status quo political double talk. What, does he think we're STUPID? He must, otherwise he wouldn't have the audacity to say that this has ALWAYS been his position and that he's said it numerous times on his CNN show. That's a LIE.
Maybe somebody should ask him if Mexico has the same Amnesty policy toward illegal aliens that get caught in their country, as they are demanding of us.
He's a two faced sell out who's pandering to the height of ass-kissing Mexicans for their support and votes.
Take a stand and show him the highway to hell.
William, I think you were very succinct and well spoken.
I was surprised and disappointed by Lou because of this
bridge building verbage he used.
I say no amnesty, period. illegals go home first,
then you can apply for citizenship the legal way. That is the only path
there should be. Just like the rest of all our ascendants had to do.
It appears he has aready begun his poltical campaign for some office in government, and is trying to blur the lines on what used to be his clear stance on immigration to appeal to more people. I got the impression that once the borders and ports were secured, then he was all for granting amnesy to those illegals who are already here. I am very disapointed that he's not a stand-up man anymore. JKO

Even the most radical pro-amnesty groups are reluctant to say we have too much border security. The issue that appears to really separate the pro-amnesty lobby from our side is the issue of interior enforcement/workplace enforcement (which is the meat and potatoes of an attrition through enforcement strategy). The pro-amnesty lobby usually does not oppose border control measures, but they throw everything they have into blocking interior/workplace enforcement. Lou Dobbs has been very supportive of interior/workplace enforcement in the past. Whether or not he continues to be supportive of these measures is what I think will me most telling in how much we can still count on him.

Welcome to Alipac :) all of the following new members, and to anyone else recently joined. We need your support to counter the claims by Lou Dobbs and politicians, individuals, groups trying to force us to accept amnesty, or a pathway to citizenship "under certain conditions."

im clear about mr. Dobbs, wish you would have ask him about anchor babies, altho i already know the answer, hes not willing to deport the law breakers, god knows he wouldn't deport them either.
Lou Dobbs .... you will not get my support.
steve, so. cal
As I said in my first post about the stand that Lou Dobbs took, either being shot at gave him pause to think about his and his family's security or he has been talking out of both sides of his mouth for years. I do not know because I have never cared for him as he appeared to be a mamby pamby and I just did not watch him! That now seems to be the case! The other thought that occurred was that maybe they have threatened his family and he feels forced to take this opposite stance? That, to me is not a good reason as the union threatened my dad with "hurting my mom and me, and throwing a bomb through the picture window of our new home." He told me not to be afraid and because I trusted him implicitly, I was not. We were always safe and I still believe that my dad was the biggest man I ever knew at 5 ft. 8 in.
and 140 lbs! A soft spoken, pleasant man who loved his family! Too bad Mr. Dobbs does not have more courage!
I have listened to both interviews. It is clear that Dobbs is for amnesty, a position I can NEVER support. It is time to withdraw all support of Lou Dobbs by ALIPAC.
At 10:22 Dobbs said that alipac and Dobbs have split their ways. I agree with him. So long to Lou Dobbs. I strongly support dropping anything that has to do with him.
I agree 100%, LAPhil. It's so bizarre that a relationship between millions of his listeners and viewers was apparently based entirely on the false premise that he wanted to stop illegal immigration and restore protected trade policies when in fact he doesn't want to stop illegal immigration or protect our trade. What he revealed yesterday was even more revealing than the Telemundo interview. I'm still in shock. Yesterday, he actually said that he has never supported deportations when that is what our law requires which happens to be the only way to remove illegal aliens from our population. He even said to the guy from Rhode Island who was talking about the failed non-protectionist trade policies giving rise to reason that we need to restore protected trade, "well, lets not use the words protect and protectionism, lets call it job creation and increasing exports".Quote:

Again, I always give credit where credit is due and I will always be thankful to Lou Dobbs for his impeccable news coverage of the two issues of illegal immigration and free trade treason, despite the fact that he clearly supports both. It's as startling a revelation as when I learned a few months ago that Walter Cronkite actually believed in a New World Order and One World Government. He just never told anyone who would dare speak of it until after he passed away.
We have to set our sights not only on what people say but what they have actually done. For example, if someone says "I oppose illegal immigration and will never vote for amnesty", our follow-up questions have to be as follows:
1. What have you done to stop illegal immigration?
2. Are you a member of ALIPAC or a related organization and if so, which one (s)?
3. Have you contributed funds to help these organizations win the battle against illegal immigration?
4. How many phone calls, emails and faxes have you sent to Congress, Governors and State Legislatures with your name on it lobbying to stop giving licenses, benefits, educations, health care and jobs to illegal aliens, to pass E-Verify and fund 287 (g)?
5. Do you support the deportation of illegal aliens?
6. Do you support reducing legal immigration to the 1970's replacement levels?
7. Do you support restoring Protected Trade Policies to balance our trade deficits and bring home the 32 million jobs Free Trade Treason has cost the people of the United States?
8. Do you understand the relationship between the illegal drug trade and illegal immigration?
9. Are you willing to legalize/regulate/tax the illegal drug trade to stop illegal immigration and the drain of our money supply into a black market foreign cartel run drug industry?
10. Do you support the FairTax that helps bring our industries home, that penalizes illegal alien workers, and dries up the funding for illegal alien not-for-profit aiders and abetters?
It's not complicated. It's very simple. Either these people actually support US or they're just double-speakers trying to win over our eyes and ears for their television or radio shows or books for money or our votes to get them elected to some public office.
There are 5 simple steps we must take to fix our economy:
1. stop illegal immigration
2. pass the FairTax
3. protect our trade
4. legalize/regulate/tax under 2. the illegal drug trade
5. drill baby drill
It's really just that simple. If we don't do all 5 and do them immediately, we'll soon not have the means to do anything. Time is of the essence. Make every race in the 2010 elections count to gain support for as many of these 5 actions as possible. Nothing else matters at this time, just these 5. Focus on them when you look for candidates to support. The first 3 are the most crucial, because when we get candidates who want to stop illegal immigration, pass the FairTax and protect our trade, then 4 and 5 will follow in due course. When the FairTax is in play, then every politician will want to legalize/regulate/tax the illegal drug trade to collect the revenue and redirect law enforcement to removing illegal aliens instead of chasing pot smokers. When we elect candidates who want to protect our trade, then they will want to lift the bans on domestic oil and gas drilling to balance our trade deficits.
As disappointing as the revelations of Lou Dobbs Absurdities have been to so many of US, we must count it as a type of divine intervention that we found out well in advance of putting him in the White House. Lou Dobbs is ironically the perfect example of our Period of Ironies and Opposites. He is not the only one, most of them will be just like Lou, so we must be vigilant and diligent and consider it a blessing when we find out before we inadvertently elected them to a powerful national public office. The same discovery was made about Sarah Palin. Lou and Sarah are just the beginning of the molded and groomed double-speakers we'll run into, and oh boy, were they groomed well.
"Do you support amnesty?" "Oh no, never."
"Do you suport legalization and path to citizenship?" "Oh yes, of course, we can't actually deport illegal aliens."
We need Brian and his Barf Bucket. Where is Brian anyway?
Lou, you are pro-amnesty and pro-free trade, which means you're not fit for any public office in the United States, not even Dog Catcher.
Buh Bye, Lou.
:(
I have watched Lou for years and never heard him support a "bridge to legalization" for any group of Illegal Aliens so I am very disappointed and he appeared to be defensive. I may have missed a few of his shows and would like him to retrieve clips from his prior broadcasts where he expressed such support. Yes, we have heard Lou for years be consistent in his support for securing our ports and borders and wanting a sane immigration policy and highlighting how illegals have repressed wages for Americans in 4 industries where they are prevalent (e.g. hospitality, construction, etc). I agree with William's comments that groups like LaRaza, MALDEF, LULAC and other ethnocentric racist groups have no place at ANY table in that their interests and mission are UNamerican and contrary to the integrity of our nation. My perception of Lou's position over the years has been that he is supportive of enforcing our current immigration laws and American sovereignty and not apologize for enforcing our laws. His subsequent interview with Michelle Malkin highlighted the need for enforcement and how any prior amnesty has led to more illegal immigration. William is right in that any tacit endorsement of a "pathway to legalization" will only encourage that behavior and excuse the crime that it is. One major void in Lou's respsonse is that he did not delineate what he proposed as a pathway for legalization for illegal aliens who were otherwise exemplary residents. That is a misnomer, of course, since they have committed a crime with illegal status, they are likely taking jobs from American or repressing their wages, they are producing anchor baby children by the millions and collecting millions in benefits at a time when our country is going backrupt. We don't need to apologize for wanting to enforce our laws or repatriating people to their own countries where they also have family, colleges etc. The arguments used by the open borders crowd have no rational basis and I am sure Lou has heard all of their arguments over the years. He does not need to apologize for not speaking Spanish. As I see it, Telemundo encourages ethno-centric separatist interests and Lou should not validate them as a credible group for discussion. Lou should encourage the engagement of groups that support America such as "You don't speak for me" or just plain old groups that represent the majority view of Americans against any form of amnesty for the unknown millions of illegals that have implanted themselves and who will forever change the culture and standard of living for Americans if they attain legal status and voting rights. I have followed many message boards and articles and see how many, if not most, of those supporting amnesty and "pathway to legalization" that they are filled with hostility and resent America as we know it and care most about "the fastest growing minority in this country". Lou is misguided to think that Telemundo or any similar group would support him politically over a candidate named "Menendez". We need to stop looking at race and ethnicity and any such groups that focuses on this (black caucus, hispanic caucus, LULAC, MALDEF, LaRaza, blah, blah, blah). America has been a great country because of the Constitution, hard working Americans who believe in our sovereigty and enforcement of our laws. It is not our laws that are broken but rather the people who disrepect them for their personal agenda.

I am in agreement with you William, we cannot bend on this issue. Lou Dobbs sounds more and more like a fork-tongued politician. We will never win our country back if we continue to support people like this who waffle under the strain. I say we carry on without Lou Dobbs!!
Yall know what??
After listening the interview with William Gheen, I feel one more time, "we are doomed". There is NOTHING we can do as long as we keep depending on people. We cannot afford to keep "hope" in public faces. This BS will never stop.
Legalizing the wrong people in this country, not only will affect future immigration policy, but also, IT WILL DESTROY the identity of the United States. It will change the face of this nation forever; culturally, traditionally, politically.
Great job William Gheen. That's a great American that I would love to shake hands with someday. Hopefully on the border.
William you are right in what you are saying and we have heard for years from Lou that he is not supporting AMNESTY and suddenly we hear that he wants to compromise what a Joker.
I suggest that we drop Lou Dobbs from our intensions of giving him support because now when he is about to become a Politician he is just adjusting to whatever the other crooks are saying.
No Amnesty and no ILLEGALS can stay here they have to go home and be put in the back of the line.
Your interview is just what we needed and keep up the good work, it was a statement from us all.
Lou, the village just called, they want their idiot back before he makes too much more of a fool of himself.
I refuse to stay quiet while some self serving politician or group(s) minimize or trivialize what it means to become an American Citizen. No President or politician should have the authority to wave his hand over the crowd and pronounce them citizens of this great land. IT MUST NOT WORK THAT WAY. DON'T YOU DARE TRIVIALIZE WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY. FOR ANYONE TO PRONOUNCE ILLEGAL ALIENS AS CITIZENS WITH A WAVE OF THEIR MAGIC WAND THAT PERSON SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH SEDITION. And i say this based on the fact that allowing 20,000,000 illegals to become citizens without going through proper channels could change the entire political landscape in this country. GIVING THESE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS TREASON. I refuse to standbye while political groups comprised of people that shouldn't be in my country anyway, use these groups to put political pressure on government officials, or align individuals of their chosing to win elections in order to push their illegal alien agendas.
That being said, there are too many qualified candidates out there that will state their position and case to the American People and stand by their convictions. Lou Dobbs is out as far as I am concerned. It would appear that he has either sold out, or been paid out.
Put our political backing elsewhere.
B
Lou is sounding more and more like a Washington Politician! Let's say one thing now and do something else later cause it will make me more popular and get more votes. I admit I haven't been a follower of his on CNN, so I don't know what he said about legalization in the past, but I know this................If I, as an American Citizen broke into someones house here in the US, I would be made to pay the consequences. I would not be rewarded with the keys because my vote is desireable. Why are illegal aliens afforded more rights than Citizens? This kind of thing only happens in America. Try it in another country and see what happens!
This has always been one of my talking points and I wish it were brought up in every interview or conversation with illegals and illegal supporters. Why not just adopt Mexico law here?Quote:

Dobbs claimed that he has always supported an amnesty and a path to citizenship for some after our borders are secured. How could so many of us not heard him say that he supports an amnesty all these years? I would like him to point out where on his website we can find proof of that.
Regardless though, I can no longer be a supporter of Dobbs if that is his view. No amnesty for any illegals! So long, Dobbs.
I just listened to this interview and William did such a great job of sticking to the truth and backing his statements with facts and sincerity.
Then there's Lou Dobbs who lied. He never said he was for "humane" legalization in all the years I watched him. Now he suddenly states that his "position has been clear".
Well, Lou, I'm not deaf and I know what I heard, you were against amnesty and the illegals in this country while on CNN but now you've changed your tune. Build your bridges somewhere else because it isn't legal to give some "humane" amnesty when they are here illegally in the first place! That's just opening a new can of worms, sir!
Remember Elvira and her pleas? She was sent back to Mexico and you covered the story! I never heard you call for any "humane" exemption then. Also, I am furious that you called yourself the Latino's "Greatest Friend" which is so biased. What about other minorities, Lou? What about just being a friend to all but an American first?
I feel like he used all of us for ratings and now we see just what an actor he is and that he really isn't sincere about fighting amnesty. Kick him to the curb!
The Telemundo crowd isn't buying his line of crud either! They call him Lou "Cesar Chavez" Dobbs:
http://trueslant.com/rickungar/2009/...os-everywhere/
I've listened to the interview on Telemundo and Lou's radio show interview with ALIPAC. He sounds just like a spin politician. If making illegals legal was his stance before it's news to me. I always thought he was 100% against it. I've watched his show on CNN hundreds of times and never remember him having this position on illegal immigration. I think he's acting like a politican trying to get the hispanic vote or some such trash. I'm not really sure and honestly don't care. I know longer support Lou Dobbs in any way. I think he's two faced.
I didn't feel any better after the Dobbs / Gheen interview concerning the Dobbs thing.
I did feel much better after the Michelle Malkin interview concerning Michelle Malkin...and life in general. She is a sweetie. I'd follow her into battle without a doubt.
After listening to the Lou Dobbs/William Gheen interview, (and the Telemundo interview) I withdraw ALL support of Lou Dobbs. He has totally turn-coated. He never, on his show, supported any type of amnesty for illegals. He is now like all the rest of the politicians, ignoring the demands of approximately 80% of the American citizens.
NO SUPPORT FOR LOU DOBBS or I cancel my membership in ALIPAC.
Good for William Gheen for plainly stating the position of ALIPAC and the American people.
After hearing the Nov. 30 discussion between Lou Dobbs and Wm Gheen, I feel that the discussion of the Dobbs Telemundo interview solidifies my feelings in that I do not want to support this man even for garbage collector. He has backed down on everything he has led us to believe he would do and support.
I think that :x Alipac would weaken it base if it continues to follow and support this man. I don't know who got to him, but someone must have.
Very good column by Rick Ungar! I was opposed to ALIPAC's "Draft Lou Dobbs for President" campaign last year because I felt that he was better for us as a commentator doing just what he was doing, and I couldn't see him as any kind of politician in the same capacity. I see now my instincts were right.Quote:

Wow William, thanks for clearing things up on the Lou Dobbs radio show! MY stance just changed from neutral to: being against Lou Dobbs. We need a new hero. :( Who will be brave enough and fierce enough to stand up for the American citizen, our language, our culture, our laws?
I just want to add that we lose citizens in the cold winter months here in New England. Unlike the lucky illegals who have things handed to them on a silver platter, we have elderly who die in their own homes because they cannot afford their heating bills. We have people living in tent cities out in the freezing cold!! We have poor people going hungry. :(
I am so upset that I can never contribute financially to this site. I lost my job over a year ago and my husband is currently on disability. I am so frustrated and angry that our own government turns a blind eye to our own citizens who have worked so hard for so long, and spend billions of dollars to support and encourage illegals. We must never back down. We are a voice for the voiceless. I sign petitions, e-mail those in congress, voice my opinions on forums etc. We must do anything and everything we possibly can.
Well after five pages, I'd say it's unanimous. Lou gets a definite thumbs-down!
You know I was just thinking, Lou has a Mexican-American wife, I bet he has a thing for Latino women, when he went up against Janet Murguia and the Telemundo babe, he turned to putty. Maybe his libido is overpowering his patriotism?Quote:

Kiara, thank you for what you are doing. People can contribute in many ways, and though you are unable financially to do something, your emails, and other contributions are very valuable.
I hope that things will be brighter for you and your husband.
Matthew 7:15
Fence sitting is the reason we have so many problem right now.
If we had a president that would go on national TV and say illegal aliens need to pack up and get out! Many of them would. No Amnesty ever! Many more would leave... Then go on TV and say... No more benefits, no more jobs, no more playing around with enforcement... Many more would leave... The only think left at that point would be the criminals and we should handle them with an iron fist. No exceptions.
Tell them to leave, make them unwelcome, keep them out, throw them out and arrest and punish the rest.
Quit playing games!
Dixie
Been replaying in my head...
I still am not sure whether Dobbs understood where the difference, or "difference" in meaning/intent/whatever exists.
Dobbs kept talking about closing the borders...., while William was talking about legalizing illegals.
The conversation with Malkin may have clarified Dobbs' differentiation between illegals and felonious illegals.... ?
It would be SAD:
IF William AND Dobbs were saying (meaning) the same thing, but focused on different points.
OR IF Dobbs is pro-legalization of non-felonious illegals.
Dobbs seemed to be presuming William's intended argument (Glenn Beck and Mark Levin do that too), as a habit of keeping control of the pace and content of on-air conversations.
Thank you Kiara for all that you do and I hope with all my heart things improve for you and your family. The number of Americans quietly suffering while illegal aliens fill up their 2 large carts at Walmart and pay cash with Americans standing in the 20 items or less line scraping up change to pay for 'em, breaks my heart and is what drives me every day to do whatever I can as 1 person of many to turn this tide and solve this problem.Quote:
