Thread: Congratulations: Plan to gut E-Very Thwarted in DC!

Many thanks to all of you that responded quickly yesterday and got on the phones.

Your impact was felt in Washington!

Late last night, Roy Beck of NumbersUSA sent us an update to let us know that the Congress reauthorized the E-Verify system for five years without the strings attached that would allow the program to be shut down through inaction next year.

This new victory for our cause is a testament to your hard work, our growing network, and the unprecedented cooperation among groups and organizations in our movement.

This victory should assure that the E-Verify system will continue to be used by a growing host of businesses that want to obey our immigration laws and only hire Americans and LEGAL immigrants.

Without Americans like you, the illegal aliens and their supporters would have just gutted the heart of the new level of immigration enforcement we have obtained in our nation.

There is still much to do.

Horray! It feels great to know that E-verify is going to be applied...let's get this immigration problem handled...and get the illegals enroute to their country of origin...

WOOOO HOOOO!!! This is great news!!!!

This victory is so significant in more ways than one.

It not only signifies more jobs for Americans and more doors closing on IAs, but it signifies that the ethnocentric interests are quickly losing ground. The illegals and their advocates are no longer controlling this issue through the intimidation and bullying tactics of their precious race card, their sob stories are falling on deaf ears, and they may excercise their human rights to exit this country because America still belongs to US and WE are the only voice that counts here!!!!

Today is a good day........

I spoke with JEM Restaurant Management firm in Fresno yesterday. They've been using it for three years. They want it to continue. It would be good if we could find a list of businesses that use E-verify, want it to continue and have them as a source of contacts during these fights.

Both the Senate and the House?

The Numbers email I got said lay off the US House of Reps but stay on the Senate.

Is that still the case?

It was just the House. I think they are counting on the Menendez stay. However, let's remember that the House is re-elected every two years. So they are counting on the Senate and hope to control it after the election with all the retirements.

Even so, they must be nervous. They never had the reaction in the House like the Senate got two years ago. Since then Numbersusa has grown, and Alipac and others have grown. When there is a lull is the time for us to recruit.
