I justified my non-constituent call by saying, "A Dream Act Amnesty may not seriously impact Maine. But if the Senator votes it in, it cuts our throat in states to the south of you, where we have over 10% illegal aliens and over 20% unemployment among the minority population, who are most often those displaced by illegal aliens."

In other words, I focused on the effect locally on the majority minority population which is most impacted by illegal alien amnesty, relating that to the displacement of local students by a possible Dream Act. That seems to me the most effective approach to liberals.

In the small state of New Hampshire (compared to Maine) there are very many Maine residents working here as there are not many jobs in that huge state. Maine is a sanctuary state and caters to the illegals and most immigrants more than their own residents.

So, Snowe and Collins need to start helping the legal citizens/residents of Maine for a change.

For Sen. Snowe, (800) 432-1599 is out of order or unreachable (except by Bridget, who has "connections").
