Senator John Cornyn is agaist the Dream Act

Senator John Cornyn represnts me in Texas. I called his office to urge him to vote against the Dream Act as part of the Defense Appropriations Bill. His office assures me "he is 100% against the Dream Act as part of the Defense Appropriations Bill". Please verify this, and then remove him from the undecided category.

    Welcome to Alipac Chawie.

    Thanks for participating!

That wont convince me Cornyn will vote no to the Dream Act. Hutchison's office will say the same thing. That is a fence sitter response. We want a firm commitment that they will not vote for the Dream Act. Attatched or not attatched to the Defense Bill, it's Amensty.

These two turned on me last year and played games with the cloture vote of the Comprehensive Immigration Refrom Bill. I don't believe them. Hutchison has been dragging her feet by making excuses, having fu-fu meetings with OBLs and blocking the fence that has funding. Nope, not backing off of those two.

If they really want off this list, they can call William up personally.

Yes I keep after Lautenberg and menedez on a daily or thrice daily basis. They have yet to respond to me on any Dream act or amnesty issues. Always email and write me about clean water, animals and the war and while these issues are also very important that should not always be their pat answer. Oh well. Keep on em.

I am telling the Senators I contact to oppose the Dream Act amendment, that even though I can't vote in their state, I can write a check to oppose their campaign for re-election, but wouldn't it be more effective if ALIPAC could target one Senator to write checks to oppose? If I was a Senator and someone tells me they can write a chect to defeat my next bid for political office, I might not consider it, but if 100,000 Americans contacted me to tell me they intend to write a check to my opponent, that I might consder.
