Mexican Trucks poised to roll + ALIPAC Update

    Friends of ALIPAC:

We are extending our summer fund raiser 11 days because we are $6,400 short of our needed $20,000 goal. By extending the effort to ALIPAC's three year anniversary on 9/11/2007 we hope that more of you will chip in.

We know that many of our regular supporters are tapped, after giving during our successful fight against the Senate Amnesty bill earlier this year.

Thousands of you receive our e-mail alert. We just need a few hundred more of you to respond right away by contributing $25, $50, or $100 so we can reach our goals and return our full focus to the fight against illegal immigration, Amnesty, and open borders. The rumor is that Congress plans to bring back AMNESTY, when they return from break and the last thing you want is for ALIPAC to be unable to fully respond.

We hope we can still reach our goals with your help. Should we fail, we will unfortunately have to announce reductions in our operations, instead of the expansions we have planned.

Winning the battle against illegal immigration is going to take a combination of time and money. Let's all stand together with our contributions and volunteerism to win this battle.

We are tracking the news about how the Bush administration plans to allow 100 Mexican trucking companies to freely enter the United States without their cargo being checked!

The Teamsters Union has a court challenge in motion to try to stop Bush and the trucks. They are pointing out the great risks to American motorists that will occur, if those sub standard Mexican trucks and drivers are allowed onto US highways.

You can find lots of new information about this Open Borders Move (which is part of NAFTA and the SPP) on our homepage at www.alipac.us

We need you to start making the following points in letters to the editor, calls to talk radio, and calls to your members of Congress.

Of special note, Bush is trying to do this on the busiest holiday weekend of the year and while Congress is in recess!

    STOP THE MEXICAN TRUCKS!

    Points You Need To Make

"Allowing Mexican trucks to cross our borders without inspection will neutralize the US Border Patrol's efforts to stop drug and illegal alien smugglers!"

"Drug and human importing gangs will probably shift their efforts from the borders to the trucks!"

"Nobody in America was told during the NAFTA and closed door SPP discussions that Mexican trucks would be allowed to roll freely into America!"

"How many American truckers are going to lose their jobs or be forced to work for less after Bush opens our Southern Border to thousands of substandard Mexican trucks?"

WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO GET THESE POINTS OUT TO THE PUBLIC. ALIPAC WILL DO A FORMAL PRESS RELEASE ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK

Bush Administration Seeks Appeals Court Ruling Allowing Mexican Cargo Trucks in Country

SAN FRANCISCO — The Bush administration urged a federal appeals court Thursday to let Mexican cargo trucks cross the border and freely travel anywhere in the country, arguing that to do otherwise could strain diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Mexico.

The Teamsters Union on Wednesday asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to stop the program, which could go into effect as early as Saturday.

The union argues that the administration plan, which would let as many as 100 registered Mexican trucks deliver their cargo anywhere in the country for the next year as part of a "demonstration program," would endanger public highways because safety issues have not been resolved.

But in its filing Thursday, government lawyers said the trucks enrolled in the program meet U.S. trucking regulations and the program is a necessary part of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

"Participating Mexican carriers must comply with all legal requirements governing operations of domestically owned carriers, and in some cases stricter requirements," wrote Assistant Attorney General Peter Keisler.

Was it filed in San Francisco....and if so, why?...because we will be SCREWED...from the starting gate....
Never look at another flag. Remember, that behind Government, there is your country, and that you belong to her as you do belong to your own mother. Stand by her as you would stand by your own mother

    I know what you mean.
I never thought I’d ever be cheering on the 9th U.S. CIRCUS (Circuit) Court!
