You may want to call and message Speaker Mike Johnson to share your disappointment. He caved to Democrats on the SAVE ACT, which clears millions of noncitizens to vote against you in 2024!

GOP Speaker Mike Johnson just caved to Democrat demands (again) and removed the SAVE ACT which would help reduce the large numbers of noncitizen voters being detected in the 2024 elections out of the CR funding bill! Johnson did this due to pressure from Biden & Schumer.

While about 12 Republican Reps were refusing to vote for the funding bill that had contained the SAVE ACT, their complaints were not about the SAVE ACT, but about how much spending was in the bill.

The Democrat biased press is crowing happily that the SAVE ACT has been removed and Senator Chuck Schumer is happy once again as spineless Republicans like Mike Johnson give the Democrats all they want and more!

"President Joe Biden and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had both advocated for a shorter-term proposal with no bills paired so that come January, the newly elected governing body could begin with a blank slate.

Schumer welcomed the changes from the House speaker.

“We really now have some good news,” Schumer said at a Sunday news conference, noting that a government shutdown would likely be avoided.

“Now that the MAGA GOP bill has failed, it’s clear that only a bipartisan budget bill will keep the government open,” he added. (View Source)

This is NOT good news as Schumer mentions below!

Schumer says the SAVE Act is a MAGA GOP Bill, but the SAVE Act is a Bill for ALL Americans since is reinforces and supports our Voting protocols. Voting in US Elections is a privilege of US Citizens. And, the SAVE Act supports showing your ID to Vote and prove you are a US Citizen. This is NOT too much to ask.

If they are NOT going to bundle the SAVE Act into the Continuing Resolution (CR), then they need to pass it separately immediately!

NOTE: The SAVE Act is NOT a failed Bill. As HR 8281, it passed the House on July 10, 2024.
