‘Not over’? Feds coy over next move in Nevada rancher standoff

Tensions simmered Tuesday in the standoff between federal land managers and a Nevada rancher -- but the feds are being coy about how far they'll go to pursue Cliven Bundy as both sides regroup for their next move.

Federal land managers backed down in a weekend standoff with Bundy after hundreds of states' rights protesters, including armed militia members, showed up to protest federal officials seizing his cattle. Some protesters had their guns drawn and pointed toward law enforcement, some of whom were also armed, on the scene -- ultimately, no shots were fired and the Bureau of Land Management reported that officials left over safety concerns.

Nevada Sen. Harry Reid said afterward that the dispute is "not over." But whether the feds will keep plugging away with a court challenge or go further is unclear.

One question is whether there will be any repercussions for armed protesters.

Asked repeatedly by FoxNews.com whether the standoff might lead to a criminal investigation into possible threats against federal officers, administration officials would not say.

A Justice Department spokesman said they had no comment on the matter.
Asked whether BLM planned to ask for such an investigation, a BLM spokesman said "the gather is over" and referred to prior statements put out over the weekend.

The "gather" refers to the round-up of 900 cattle, hundreds of which belonged to Bundy, on federally owned land in Nevada. Bundy has been at odds for years with the feds, who say he owes more than $1.1 million in unpaid grazing fees. BLM long ago revoked Bundy's grazing rights on that land after citing concern for a federally protected tortoise. Bundy, though, claimed ancestral rights to the land his family settled in the 19th century and has refused to pay the fees or remove his animals.

The case drew intense media attention as federal and law enforcement officials openly clashed last week with Bundy and his family, at times using Tasers. The standoff came to a head on Saturday, when hundreds of Bundy supporters streamed in. Top lawmakers, even those critical of the federal government's actions, voiced concern that the dispute could get out of hand.

Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., urged protesters to let BLM officials gather their equipment and leave the area. "The dispute is over, the BLM is leaving, but emotions and tensions are still near the boiling point, and we desperately need a peaceful conclusion to this conflict," Heller said at the time. He also asked protesters to return home.

So are the feds willing to forgive and forget?

Already, Bundy supporters are citing the resolution to the weekend's dispute as an important moment. Arizona state Rep. David Livingston, speaking with Reuters, called it a "major tipping point" for western lawmakers pushing state sovereignty issues.

But Heller's Senate colleague, Senate Majority Leader Reid, D-Nev., told Reno-based KRNV: "It's not over. We can't have, in America, people that violate the law and just walk away from it. So it's not over."

At the least, BLM officials say they'll continue their fight through the courts.

"After 20 years and multiple court orders to remove the trespass cattle, Mr. Bundy owes the American taxpayers in excess of $1 million. The BLM will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially," a statement from the bureau said.

After the agency released Bundy's cattle and left the scene, nerves were still raw.

Bundy told Fox News that local sheriffs, wherever the BLM officials are, need to take away their guns and "disarm the federal bureaucrats."

"They have no authority," Bundy said Monday night.

Bundy's daughter Bailey Logue told Fox News that the dispute is "about people standing up for what's right."

"It was rewarding to see our cattle free again and not being tortured and back where they are safe," she said. Logue, too, faulted the local sheriff for not standing up to federal officials and keeping them out.

No greater example of hypocrisy has ever been seen in history than the likes of Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV), Barack Hussein Obama, and Eric "You don't want to go there, Buddy" Holder. These individuals are the epitome of repeated lawbreakers who function with impunity. As the stand-off between the Bureau of Land Management and Cliven Bundy winds down, for the moment, in Nevada, Sen. Harry Reid, on Monday, told KRNV- TV, "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So, it's not over."

If you have been following the Bundy situation in Nevada, it has been discovered that Harry Reid has his hand deep in the cookie jar in this fiasco. According to a recent report, Harry Reid is behind the land grab supporting the stealing of the property of the State of Nevada and Cliven Bundy for personal gain due to his connections to a Chinese solar energy giant. There is also the number of different mineral deposits along with numerous mines located on the land where Bundy's cattle graze, which BLM claims to control but is purportedly owned by Glencore Xtrata. If all this wasn't enough to question the motives of the federal government and the BLM, there is the report regarding the millions of dollars BLM collects every year leasing the lands in Nevada to energy companies who engage in fracking operations.
Bundy, himself, has cited his preemptive rights to the land in order to free graze his cattle.
The stories have circulated regarding the money BLM collects from every rancher, termed "grazing fees," in order to "improve the land" to assist the ranchers. As usually is the case with the federal government these days, BLM did not live up to the agreement and misused the money taken from these ranchers. That certainly sounds like a breach of contract. Bundy ceases paying BLM in the mid 90s. Corrupt judges upheld the position maintained by the BLM against Bundy in clear violation of Nevada State Law and the US Constitution. Of course the court system would pronounce judgment in favor of the federal government as the courts have a long history of abuses eradicating states' and citizens' rights.
A recent article citing Nevada State law indicates the federal government and BLM agents were engaging in criminal behavior on numerous accounts regarding Bundy's property and another outlines, using the Constitution, the State of Nevada ownership of the land the federal government "claims" to own. Obama and Holder have been eerily silent on this bureaucratic fiasco, indicating their sanction of the violations of the lawbreaking BLM agents and other government goons.
So, exactly who are the ones violating the law and then walking away? It appears Harry Reid engaged his mouth before he put his brain in motion resulting in the insert foot to mouth maneuver.
This is not over because any American violated the law; it's not over because Harry Reid and government criminals can't lose the millions they stand to make by confiscating this property from the State of Nevada and Cliven Bundy. Not surprisingly, Harry Reid is too much of a coward to do the dirty work himself, out in the open, facing down Americans who are supporting the laws he is breaking. He lacks the courage to venture to his home state to watch the happenings. Instead, he uses government "thugs" paid with American tax-payer dollars: using them to help him in his personal financial gain endeavors.
So, Mr. Reid, you think the American people are that stupid? Well, many of the parasitic, ignorant, low-information voters that vote Democrat are; but, the rest of the American public are not. It would behoove you, Mr. Reid, to just "shut – up!"

America is tired of your hypocritical, lying, criminal, treasonous face being paraded in the media and people are certainly sick of hearing your wimpy, whiny, high-pitched annoying voice. You are a waste of space – spam – and the hot air you blow could fill all the balloons at a passenger hot air balloon festival, and then some. You would be termed a "weasel" except for the fact it would be unfair to malign an innocent animal.
If you have any doubt what a lawbreaker looks like, take a good look in the mirror then look at your "idol" Obama and his sidekick, Holder. When you are done with that, continue on to Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and every Democrat in Congress. You can also include every Republican in Name Only under the lawbreaker status. Every alphabet agency in Wash**ton (yes, this is intentional), DC is also filled with lawbreakers: Lois Lerner, Jeh Johnson, Kathleen Sebelius, James Clapper, Keith Alexander – but, you get the picture.
The entire Wash**ton, DC area is littered with lawbreakers and traitors who walk around with impunity. You might take a look at history, Mr. Reid. You will learn that Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were put to death after being convicted of treason for less infractions than what has been committed by the likes of you and your ilk in the nation's capital. However, you are under the impression that you, Obama, Holder and Congress can do no wrong and are always right. There is a name for that type of problem, Mr. Reid. It's called egotistical, narcissistic, sociopathic personality disorder. In other words, all of you have a mental disease usually treated through inpatient psychiatric care. You would be wise to consider inpatient psychiatric treatment over standing trial for treason.
However, the American public would not be so "understanding" and would still demand you stand trial on charges of treason regardless of your obvious mental deficiency. By the way, it appears all Communists, Socialists, Marxists, Fascists have that mental disease; therefore, you all are easily identifiable.
Yes, this all must seem very amusing to you. You must be laughing so hard right now at this unknown writer chastising you for your criminal behavior and acts of treason. Go ahead and get it out of your system as you will not have the last laugh. None of you currently sitting in official positions in Wash**ton will have the last laugh.
What you will have, Mr. Reid, is a situation that will result in tearing this country apart making it ripe for the picking: Vladimir Putin or Islam ring a bell? You already have ceded to China. While you may think all of you who help the downfall of America along will be rewarded by those you sell out America to, you should know that you are nothing more than "useful idiots" to them. History indicates the "useful idiots" go first before those who resist; "useful idiots" are disposable because they know too much.
You also forget one thing, you sniveling, lying, pile of male cow manure coward: the American people. True Americans will counter your attempts, and those of your ilk, exposing your hypocrisy, your lies, and your treasonous acts. Americans will, Mr. Reid, fight to keep our God-given rights, our Constitution and our country.
Now put that in your pipe and smoke it. By the way, choke on it as well.

Time will tell if they decide to go back in or not...but no one in this area trusts what any of them say including the news media, they say and do two different things..... After all they only had 200 BLM people with guns go after 1 man alone on his Ranch till word got out on what was happening there..
