Another protest to get CIR. I look forward to seeing how Americans protest for the tea parties. Anyway, this group below are going to DC to offer testimonies. I wonder if they have appointments or if there is another meeting we don't know about.

-Lobbying for Immigration Reform Now-
Chicago, IL-Advocates for immigration reform will hold a press
conference on Sunday, June 28th, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe
Mission, 3442 W. 26th St. to announce the continuing lobbying for
immigration reform.
This Sunday at 6:00pm a group of activists and members of the
community will depart to Washington D.C. with the mission of bringing
testimonies to the legislators in an effort to persuade them to
support immigration reform for the 12 million undocumented people who
live in the shadows.
The group will lobby on Monday and Tuesday, with the objective to
continue to pressure the House of Representatives and to raise
awareness in Congressmen Lupisqui, Melissa Bean, and Mark Steeve Kirk
that an immigration reform is needed now.
The group will also speak with Senator Durbin’s office to give the
message of support with the Dream Act, but they will inform Durbin’s
office that a comprehensive immigration reform for the 12 million
undocumented immigrants who are suf
fering is vital.
“We urge everyone to continue to pressure President Barrack Obama, the
Senate, and the House of Representatives in order to obtain an
immigration reform that will include the 12 million undocumented
immigrants in the U.S.â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

LMAO!
Anybody who knows anything about economics should know that whatever it costs to accomodate this immigrant population in the United States---would cost about one-tenth in their home countries. A school...a clinic....a road..anything could be done for probably one tenth in Guatemala or Peru of what it costs US taxpayers here. This is just total absurdity. Where is the justice in that?
Furthermore it is nothing but shame for these liberal clergymen to participate in this foolishness. The missionaries I talk to say they are very fearful when men think of migrating to the US. They wonder if their family will even survive..or if they will end up with a new "family" in the States."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

I am totally bewildered that OUR members of congress are listening so carefully to illegals and yet continue to ignore the voters who put them in office. I'm willing to bet though, that CIR will not go through before the 2010 election. That could cost the Dems more than a few seats.

It's probably part of the Rep. Luis Gutiérrez [D-IL4] plan.
