Thread: My Letter To Idaho Governor

Dear Governor Otter:

I am disappointed by your recent display of support for Senator Craig. Personally I don’t care what his sexual preferences are, however I am deeply disturbed by his actions when he was arrested in Minnesota. Flashing his Senate card at the arresting officer when he was asked for his driver’s license tells me he has used these tactics to manipulate situations like these in the past.

Even though Senator Craig has done good things for Idaho in the past, he has proven over the last few years that he is no longer a team player for this beautiful state. A good example is his stubborn persistence to vote for amnesty for the illegal aliens in this country, even though he knew he was going against the wishes of the majority of the Idaho people and the country. That tells me he is no longer listening to his constituents, but to the voices of special interest. Hence, the reason he is willing to face ridicule and insists on remaining in his Senate seat so he can vote against the people yet again on the impending AgJobs Bill that gives a pathway to citizenship for temporary foreign workers.

Senator Craig has given Idaho a black eye and needs to step down immediately, and I hope you will advise him to do just that.

Excellent letter, tinybob. It is encouraging to see activists like you take charge and participate in local, and state and other immigration related issues...in additional to the national campaigns that ALIPAC rolls out. We all need to get more involved in other issues, not just the big ticket items (i.e, DREAM Act. Ag Jobs, etc.)

Thanks Zeezil. I think it's important to keep track of our own members of Congress as their votes make a big difference in the entire country. I am also working with one of my state Senators.

Correct me if I'm wrong tinybobidaho, wasn't a big reason people backed off for the past few weeks and the uproar abated was because everyone thought he would keep his word, do the honorable thing, and resign?!

Craig has been deceitful and calculating every step of the way, ever since he got caught, gave bizarre explanations to the police, and hoped it would be kept quiet. Then Arlen Specter had to chime in and add his two cents.

I hope the good people of Idaho keep the pressure on.

Call the Senate: NO AgJOBS Amnesty !

That's what he said, Populist. He's a flip flopper. I really believe the reason he's willing to stay in the Senate regardless of the embarassment and ridicule is because he has some unkept promises he made to big business interest. It's the only thing that makes any sense.

Idaho doesn't want this jerk in office any longer. Most of the calls to McConnell's office are for Larry to go. Most of the comments in the Idaho newspapers are for Larry to go. We'll just keep putting the pressure on.

Way to go Tiny, I got my letters off to Mc Connell, Ensign Lott, I sent e-mail. faxed and snail mailed. The calls I made they said they were getting alot of calls for Craig to resign.

Gone to work on a letter to Otter and Crapo this week end, Crapo is backing Craig. Crapo also is for the ag's bill all of a sudden, he was re-elected in 2006 because he was tough on immigration now he is supporting the ag's bill, that is full of amnesty he needs to here from Idaho residents!!

I also sent this same letter to Sali. Don't forget, SOSAD, Sali is backing Craig's decision, too. I'll hammer Crapo and Lott on Monday.
