Another pathetic attempt to influence politicians in support of Amnesty!

21 DAYS BEFORE THE 2008 ELECTION
THE LARGEST HUNGER STRIKE IN U.S. HISTORY
CALLING ON ONE MILLION PEOPLE TO SIGN A PLEDGE TO VOTE FOR IMMIGRANT
    RIGHTS

The Fast for Our Future campaign will begin in Los Angeles on October
15th, 2008, three weeks before the November 4th presidential
election. Over 100 people will fast in order to mobilize our
community to vote for immigrant rights.
Fasters will give up all food and juice liquids. We will only drink
    water.

The Fast will be based at an encampment at La Placita Olvera, the
historic heart of Los Angeles. The encampment will be a visual
representation of the size of the hunger strike. Fasters will sleep
in tents and live at the encampment for the duration of the hunger
strike. The Fast will continue until at least one million people have
signed the Pledge to vote and take action for immigrant rights.

What You Can Do (Los Angeles Area) / (Nationwide) :

    * Join the Fast for as many days as possible.
    * Recruit your friends, family, church, or organization to join the
    Fast.
    * Sign the Pledge and forward it to your friends and family. Recruit
them to be one of the one million people who will sign the Pledge to
    vote for immigrant rights.
    * Donate money to the Fast campaign. The costs of the campaign will
be over $20,000. We rely entirely on the donations of people like you
to fund this effort. Please help.
    * Visit the fasters at Placita Olvera. The encampment features daily
events for the public, including a morning prayer service and evening
    vigil.

    The Encampment:

The encampment for the Fast is in the public area of La Placita
Olvera and will include tents, a stage, work areas, and a rest area
for fasters and supporters. Olvera Street is an historic monument and
plaza known as "the birthplace of the City of Los Angeles". The
    address is:

El Pueblo De Los Angeles Historic Park
    845 N. Alameda Street
    Los Angeles, CA 90012

La Placita is right next to Union Station and easily accessible via

Legal immigrants have rights that illegal immigrants don't have. Being illegally in my country is unlawful! As far as i am concerned your childish hunger strike is silly. I suggest we have people bringing them hamburgers and tasty fries and better just eat them in front of them!

Immigrants have rights so you're fasting for nothing. Illegals do not and one million signatures on a petition from illegal aliens means nothing.

alamb, I LOVE your idea. That would be so funny, have the same amount of patriotic activists standing around these people, having tailgate parties with food and drinks, make a circus kind of event out of it.LOL!!!!

Mmmmm...that rack of ribs was so good, man, that coleslaw, the best....

Go hungry you dummies, not enough signatures in this world will give you your rights, criminals are denied rights for a reason, they committed a crime.

Illegals starving themselves in order to attempt to put a guilt trip on gullible Americans. I say who the freak cares? I side with Michael Savage on this one.
