My parents hate Lindsay Graham, why they voted for him

They detest Graham, but voted for him for #1) He was a repub 2) they were afraid if they voted for a Dem, he would vote for straight democratic, and just follow Obama (like NC dem Kay Hagan is doing). They want someone to run against LG, but the Rep Party wont help $$ with a challenger cause LG has been there so long. SO they see no way out with LG. SC is a repub state and without a challenger he will be there forever. He was so unworried about his last election he left SC and went to AZ to hang with McCain to support him. Didnt even stay home for the home election.

Tell your parents its a damn shame that they, and many other people in SC, did not bother to look at the other candidate who was a Dem but was much more conservative than Graham and had registered as a Dem just to defeat Graham.

they did look at him, but he wasnt highly visible and as I said, thought he would vote along party lines...just like Kay Hagan has, even though she campaigned against several things she has voted for.

Sometimes you just need to vote'em out of office.

I voted against my Sen. DeWine, because he was soft on illegal immigration and supported Sen. Brown, who verbally opposes amnesty, but supports CIR. I feel it's easier to fight Brown, than DeWine.

I voted for Obama, rather than McCain. McCain supported CIR, so he lost my support. I knew Obama would suppor CIR, but figured it ould be easier to defeat Obama's CIR, then McCain's CIR.

Contact Sen DeMint's officce. Find out how to get his group that is pushing for conservative candidates to support someone of your choosing. If there is a tea party close to you they may be of help in finding a conservative candidate DeMint's group would support. If Rubio can wax Crist, a sitting Florida governor, I have to believe you can find someone in SC of similar caliber to challenge Graham. I also believe that by the time Graham is up for re-election (2014?), there is quite likely going to be a different attitude at the RNC.

South Carolina is killing us. I don't understand why they continue to elect someone the entire country hates?

Dump him and re-elect anyone... no one could possibly be worse for the country and South Carolina then Lindsey Graham. This guys isn't even human...

He's ready to send our troops to attack Iran; while at the same time allowing 20 million mexicans to invade our country and get welfare while doing it.

The guys is insane... He needs to go... like six years ago. Let's hope Arizona dumps the other one, Juan McCain.. Both two huge losers.

This treason committed by the RNC is unforgivable. There is no way McCain should have won the nomination for President, or that he is being supported for re-election for Senator.

That is the crux of the problem - the RNC. They have a responsibility to provide suitable candidates, and they have fallen short far too many times.

I will not vote for my Senator - Johnny Isakson, who helped craft the amnesty bill in 2004. He owns a realty firm, his son works there now, and of course he authored the tax credit for home buyers. Big surprise. He was a Democrat before he was a Republican, whatever is most convenient. Yet he is supported by the RNC. I will not vote for him. Anyone but him. And I'm mad that I have no one to vote for.

Hear you GaPatriot... and agree. The GOP and the DNC are both in bed together and owned by the same corporations and global UN interests. There is no difference between the two parties, and the fact McCain was the nominee sealed the deal for me. It is clear they talk a good game, but the 2008 election was a complete set up.

So, in my view there MUST be a third party. We have to take the Republicrats out !!!! Our government is a special interest group, and you and I are not one of their interests. I believe the GOP will do the same thing in 2012 to give Obama his second term. They have a trade off deal... two terms for us, two terms for you.
