Americans Win!

Conversely, you could say that the Chamber of Commerce and ACLU have lost, and lost big-time. Overall, it was a very good day for the Supreme Court of the United States, or as law nerds like to call it, SCOTUS. However, it was an even better day for Arizonans, and for those of us who sympathize with their struggle to combat illegal immigration almost single-handedly. Not only did the Supreme Court majority reject the specious arguments advanced by those who want to retain a class of indentured servants from foreign countries in perpetuity, it affirmed the right of state legislatures to employ one of the most effective immigration enforcement tools in their arsenal.
As Dan Stein of the Federation for Immigration Reform points out in his organization’s press release, this Supreme Court decision deals a decisive blow to the flimsy attempts by open borders lobbyists to knock down statewide immigration enforcement statutes based upon the preemption doctrine. In an illuminating post over at John Blackman’s Blog, the rationale for rejection based upon implied preemption is fully explained with a carefully excerpted portion of Chief Justice John Roberts’s majority opinionReporting without fear or favor-American Rattlesnake

The GOOD
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly....One of my favorite Clint Eastwood Spaghetti westerns
The Good: We have won a great victory for American Sovereignty and the Rule of Law...No doubt
The Bad: Its still only a step. The Open Borders crowd has an almost limitless amount of funds to tap in order to dismantle our nation. Not to mention their other tactics, which can and do include terrorism.
The Ugly: The left, Communists, open borders nuts, Illegals, Reconqista lovers, Globalists etc...The more they lose, the closer they get to violent and very dangerous confrontations. Its only going to get more and more ugly and I think anyone can see that. Take care my brothers and sisters....

Well, there's no other option. At least, as far as the 2007 law goes. The SC's upheld it. That's it.

It's always great when we win a legal battle that strengthens our cause.

This was discussed at the last NY ICE meeting. A rep. from the Nassau County Civic Association brought up the fact that the legal front is where most of the important battles are being fought. From what I hear, New Jersey Citizens For Immigration Control and the Immigration Reform Law Institute are ready to roll out something big now that e-Verify has been upheld by the SC.

It's refreshing, to say the least!! We've won the latest short-term battle on the way to winning the war long-term!

Now we need SCOTUS to rule that undocumented persons born to illegal parents here are NOT cotizens of this country but of the parents homeland. If they do that then we have won a huge battle and a major step to winning the war.
