Speaking of that. The other day, pulling out of Wild Oats (local natural foods store) there was this very expensive suv (one I have not seen before), the woman was on her cell phone (still not illegal here to drive with the cell in your face) and the bumper stickers were as follows: "Pro-Choice", "World Peace, No War", "A World Without Borders" (that's the one that really burnt my ____!), "Greenpeace", "PETA" Well, they were all over, need I go on?

What got me, was here is this obviously well off indiviual, talking about things which they will truthfully never know about, and touting bumper stickers which contradict with the obvious issue of the big expensive suv and the patronage of one of the most expensive grocery stores in the area. See where I'm getting at? My opinion is, if you think that these issues are so important, then why are you living a lifestyle that contradicts the very essence of the minimalistic living your ideologies tout?

Never understand those people. If you believe in the envoriment, then don't drive the gas guzzling SUV, if animal are so important to them, and they are against war, then why would they advocate throwing away a human life in it's most pure and innocent stage of life? Since when did animals become more important than children?
You have touched on the heart of Liberalism in this country. Liberals for the most part tend to be members of one of two groups. Either they are special interest groups whose primary defining political focus is upon the preservation of one or another perquisite handed out by the government or else they are the limousine Liberal type whose elitism tells them that they are not only such perfect arbiters of Right and Wrong that their moral superiority allows them to dictate to others what is best for them, but that this invaluable position as community sage imparts to them immunity from the edicts they wish to impose on others. How else to explain a person such as Al Gore who owns multiple SUVs, multiple homes (the smallest of which is over 4000 sf and the largest of which is several times that), flies private jets and travels in 6 mpg limousines, yet tells the rest of us that we must sacrifice for the good of the environment? How do we explain the Kennedys, who on the one hand tell us that we should pay a premium for wind-generated power, yet will not even allow wind generators to be erected within eyeshot of their own compound because they would spoil their view? How do we explain Hollywood actors who make a big show of driving an electric car, then go home to lighted tennis courts and olympic-sized heated swimming pools, then fly on an environmentalist junket aboard a private jet that uses more fuel in a single trip than the average American family burns in a year? It's like a mental illness. These absurd individuals believe that advocacy of environmentalism somehow pardons their own gross excesses.

Y'know, the best analog for our modern liberals is the old Soviet Politburo. They were the end-all be-all in determining how wealth and resources were divvied up so of course they lived in luxury, being shuttled around in limos from the West, eating beluga caviar and clothed in the most luxurious furs. All the while, those whose well-being they were ostensibly serving were struggling to keep warm standing for hours in sub-zero temperatures in hopes of obtaining a pound of bologna and loaf of white bread from the state store so that their families had something to eat.

    One word for these people-----NARCISIST'S!!

"No one is more important than me and what I want", that is their mantra.

I see people raising children like this. They teach these little monsters that they are "precious" and "so smart", and have "so many special talents", blah, blah, blah................ Then when these kids grow up they cannot understand why everyone is not taken with them and their special talents like they were always used to.

Hollywood and our government are too taken with themselves, this country has become Rome, makes me think of many Biblical passages right now.
