After parents' murders, children adjust to Coachella Valley
Help from residents was crucial to bring kids from Mexico

It would take a community and a congressman to rescue three children in the grip of violence.

But much to the relief of Jose and Maria Trejo, less than a month after the parents of nieces Betsy Marivi, 13, Lindie Elizabeth, 11, and nephew Sergio, 9, were murdered, the children have been relocated quietly to their Coachella Valley home.

The family asked that their exact location not be disclosed.
“It's a miracle they are here,â€
